Asians love ghosts lol! This could be due to culture, ancestral reverence/worship. Like I said before, there is a Ghost Month devoted to praying to and honouring the spirits/ghosts of the deceased family members; quite celebratory with concerts, dinners, auctions of god figurines; large one-metre high red joss-sticks fuming on elaborate tables covered with red table-cloths. The god figurines on display are auctioned off to the highest bidder to a tune of a whopping half a million or more dollars; depending on their size and sculpturing and the god status. The auctioneer will be rattling all the bid prices at the top of his lungs over a microphone! The whole party lasts 2 hours, very noisy but perhaps to attract more ghosts. lwl! Now, this coming Ghost Month, Mmm I might get to hear Adam's 'Ghost Town' blaring at these lavish ghost festivities. Actually that tin-can drumbeat in the song conjures up ghosts rising and jumping around the streets; lwl! They are allowed this particular month called 7th Month which is August by the way, to have a free for all, as the gates of heaven or hell are opened once a year. Hey I'm not making fun, but that's what Chinese Taoist/Buddhist people do in my country and globally.
So Adam's Ghost Town will add more festive joy to Asia's ghosts. lwl! Good luck Adam, hope your Original High sails right to the top with a bang and a pop!

Hey Adam...I think the Asian ghosts will love your Ghost Town song; you sing so beautifully, it will make them weep; oh do they weep...not likely, mostly smile as they have suffered enough and purified; unless their spirits are trapped somewhere and they can't join the myriad stars where scientists say, is our origin.
Hey Adam, since you say you can't enter because the saints have locked up the gates...try 7th Month/Ghost Month...all the gates are opened lol!

Now let's hope Ghost Town and TOH make it to the top 10 in THIS country! So glad he's doing well internationally.

9:04 PM, it's much harder to reach the top 10 in the US than on an Asian TV channel's dance chart. The two aren't even comparable. Adam has broken into the top 40 in the US and the song is still climbing. Adam is doing well here at home.

9:54 top 40 HAC? I get all these charts all mixed up.

10:38 PM, I think GT is at #38 on Top 40 and at #29 on HAC.

I love your posts about The Ghost Month. At least the spirits are allowed to enter heaven or hell during an entire month(that's how they don't become ghosts), Ghosts Town lyricists are "cruel", they think that The One "in charge" is missing and the spirits are left crying outside the gates of heaven.

Your posts give me the occasion to ask our ADMINS if it is possible, like other blogs, to have 2 permanent threads, one dedicated to Adam's The Original High, sometimes , I'd have liked to change/add/post a new , fresh opinion about one song or another and if the old ones are already archived nobody will read/comment on them. The other thread can be for personal discussions as this kind of discussions, like this one, are not "encouraged".

Hey Pan.....Actually, I had been thinking of your two permanent threads idea for some time; but I hold back nowadays a lot ! as I do not want to rock the boat too much and meet with a lot of opposition. Love that you voiced it ! Yes, 2 permanent threads will allow for greater flexibility, personalised discussions and longevity regarding what we express, and learn more about the world at large from one another. Like I learnt about Vlad Dracula from you ! The simple house he was born in and lived there and the Dracula castle on the hilltop. If you had not told me, I would just think of Dracula as a fictional name/story with no reference to the historic aspect, which would reduce the scope of background knowledge... perpetuating the frog in the well syndrome. And now you find my Ghost Month festivity interesting and even relate it to Adam's Ghost Town lyric. I notice you have a lot to offer with regard Adam, music, interpretations etc.
Thank you! I second your proposal! How about it Admin/AdminFan.

@Lam-My & @ Pan

Hi, great ideas from you two, I have been hoping for some thing you two were suggesting. Have seen it on other forms and it is very helpful to the discussions regarding Adam and his music. Also, people don't have to keep typing off topic, if there was maybe an OFF TOPIC PERMANENT THREAD that handle those discussions.

Thanks for bringing to the attention of the Administrator. She seems to be very innovative; and may have been considering it herself, but, maybe waiting for the need from others. Good luck on that. Great idea, IMO!!!!!

Hello Ella B.....What you said is exactly right! Not only Pan and I would agree; it's a very healthy and wise thing to be able to connect the dots; our world is no more an isolated one...its global. Things deemed off-topic here as pointed out by you...are directly or indirectly connected and we should talk about them...we never know how and when these supposedly off-topic ideas can come in useful in our own lives and of others. The key word here is connectivity and if we have 2 permanent threads, we could get back / connect with one another more easily and a lot more ideas can be floated, which not only broaden / open up this site but more importantly our minds!
Well, let's see if Admin implements it. Frankly, I don't remember using this word, off-topic...because to me everything is connected! Also, to quote Adam...he said: 'Do what is best for you; don't do what I do but what you think you want to do.' Not only is he handsome, pretty wise, sometimes. lwl!

Sorry for the huge blank, initially I thought it was Rupert's fault, it was mine.

I'd like this blog to become the permanent "residence"for most of its visitors, now I'm having a strange feeling about it, I feel like I'm on a railway station, people come, people go, and yes Lam-My, you're right , without having time to create a bond. I think , fans with tags are old acquaintances, but many of them left the blog and "flew" to other horizons.I suspect some of them are still visiting the blog, good for them, but I myself cherish stability and loyalty.
