Very Good News for New Zealand Fans!

From Adamofficial:

Adam Lambert is coming to New Zealand!

IT'S OFFICIAL! Adam Lambert will be performing in Auckland at the Trusts Stadium on SUNDAY 17TH OCTOBER. Thanks to all you Kiwi Glam Fans for being such amazing and supportive fans. You guys rock! See below for official press release. Hope you have your glitter ready!

ADAM LAMBERT BRINGS HIS GLAM NATION TOUR TO NEW ZEALAND
Hot off the tail-end of his US tour, glam-pop revivalist, Adam Lambert, is making an anticipated visit to New Zealand with a full-tilt show resplendent with glitter, leather and melodrama at Trusts Stadium on Sunday 17th October in Auckland.

Since the announcement of Lambert’s string of Australian shows only weeks ago, the response from our New Zealand league of Glamberts has been overwhelming. So much so that when the majority of tickets for shows were snapped up during the pre-sales for the Australian shows, conversations immediately began between promoters and management about what arrangements could be made to reach out to more fans.

Lambert’s trajectory to stardom began less than two short years ago when he reached runner up in the eighth season of American Idol. Proving that the winner does not necessarily take it all, he has gone on to blaze the trail for left-of-centre performers the world over with his neo-glam irreverence and vocal virtuosity, receiving far more attention than his castmates during the months following the conclusion of the series.

Audiences can expect to see an audio-visual spectacular, both theatrical and atmospheric, when Lambert takes the stage with his playful melodrama conjuring up nods to Sixties psychadelia, Seventies disco and Eighties glam-goth. With a voice that has the falsetto extension and flamboyance of Freddie Mercury and the neon-bright stage presence of the Scissor Sisters, this newly minted pop star is set to be a swooping phenomenon.

Adam’s debut album For Your Entertainment (Sony Music) was released in New Zealand last November and is now approaching double platinum sales. To date the album has spawned three massive singles – the Top 5 platinum hit ‘Whataya Want From Me’ and the two Top 10 gold singles ‘For Your Entertainment’ and ‘If I Had You’.

Next up is a new radio single ‘Fever’, and the October 4th release of a limited Tour Edition of the album which features a bonus DVD of live performances and music videos.

  6. Fantastic news for us here in NZ, unfortunately already booked my tickets to Melbourne on the 19th so bit difficult to go to Auckland on 17th as well, but at least I am getting to SEE HIM. So excited about FEVER being next single here, I voted for that. YEAH YEAH YEAH. You are right New Zealand does rock and we do love Adam Lambert. He should go to Christchurch though and perform for the city that is suffering from the effects of a major earthquake. My love goes out to them there.

So now am trying to swing it to get to Auckland concert to. We love Adam here, also 2 of the Australian concerts in Sydney and Melbourne have been changed to bigger venues, all good for Adam.

  13. Do the airlines realize how much money Adams tour is generating for them here in the states and overseas! He's a one man boost to the world economy what with the hotels, car rentals, restaurants, clothing stores, make up supplies and beauty salons (have to get ourselves beautiful for Mr. Lambert) and probably a lot of other things as well. 18. FEVER!!! I cannot understand why this has not been released as a single here in Canada, the country that has shown Adam the most love. That little pronoun mens nothin' here, as we are way mor evolved than the U.S., and not ruled by a homophobic reigious right. Very happy for BB.

Yeeeee Haaaa - I've been bitchin & moanin about how we were gonna miss out on seeing him & now I have to eat my words!! Man, I feel like a kid having to wait for Christmas! This is just awesome news & I know the kiwi glamberts are really grateful to Adam & Management.

  24. Fever is their new single?

Wow...I want to live in New Zealand.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Yay for NZ! I love you people and want to visit some day. My advice: Go to as many concerts that you can beg, borrow, or steal tickets for! Take out a second mortgage on the house. Plunder your kid's college funds. One show is not enough! There are so many sights, and sounds, and sexy, sensual movements your mind is blown. Losing your Glam Nation cherry is such a multi-sensory experience you will be in a trance and cannot possibly take all of Adam Lambert in the first time!!! (And, yes I mean that just like it sounds. hehe)

  28. Great News for NZ fans!! You are going to love Adam live. Note, if you already bought tickets for Australia, still buy tickets for the NZ show because once you see Adam live, you will want more and more... I am testament to that because I am flying to Fl to see Adam for the 3rd time and each time I see him, he gets better and better. I will also be buying the new CD/DVD - and FEVER as the next single - WOW! NZ is so lucky. Hopefully, Fever will be released in US and Canada... Thanks to all of the fans worldwide for supporting Adam - it is something we all have in common.

Also, my prayers go out to everyone in Christchurch.
