  4. If so, glad that Adam is being acknowleged and supported by the LGBT community. Adam didn't seem tothink so in the beginning when he just wanted to entertain and not get political. He has since been very active shining a light on the double standards and unequality issues which may have sftened their views on Adam.

  8. I like it when we make the charts or win awards as fans of Adam. We got a lot of acknowledgements from the media for the past couple of years.

  9. OT: I know there are alot of glamberts wanting adam on SNL. Just read an article that he is there #1 person who they want for 2013? Fingers crossed even though I never watch anymore- but of course I would then.

  11. I'd like to see that article about SNL wanting Adam to be on the show (HOST!). I imagine they book their hosts and musical guests far in advance, but I hope it's true that they want him on in 2013. He's got some cred and an incredible self-effacing sense of humor. Just what SNL wants. Hope it happens. I know they say to tell them who you want on the show, but it's some kind of certain link at certain times only????? Anyone remember this besides me?

As for the LGBT fan support, well, anything that gets his name out there with other big names is a GOOD thing. The list is kind of odd, though.

  13. This list is strange. Where are all the fabulous and talented out gay celebrities? I only see 3 here - John Waters, RuPaul and Margaret Cho. It is great to have straight allies, OF COURSE, but this subject is discussed quite often at afterelton - the question being why do gay men put all these straight female singers before courageous out gay men, such as Adam? I find it interesting yet maddening, and I'm straight. There doesnt appear to be an answer to this question. . . . Adamluv

  14. This is worthless. MetroNow, I assume it's a magazine, made up their list. printed it and asked "do you agree with our choices?" Gnomes could have created it for all we know. Ignore it.

  15. @DRG usually SNL announce it to vote on their twitter account and facebook page as who they should have as a host/musical guest. Haven't seen any announcement of such recently.

  16. SNL had 2 days for voting and they are over. They just announced that Adam Levine will be the Host on Jan 26 - only hosting, not singing. So guess they are getting their schedule set for 2013. I think our Adam has a good chance to host and be the musical guest!!

  17. Adam did such a fantastic job hosting (and performing) on VH1 Divas maybe SNL PTB saw how talented he is....plus his spot on comedic timing would be incredible on SNL. We all know it, now hoping that SNLmight jump on board and book him.

Re: this LGBT List, doesn't make much sense to me.

  20. Well, I think we have to make it clear that we want Adam to HOST SNL. Being a musical guest as well would be frosting on the cake. But hosting is the best. I'm not the slightest bit interested in Levine, but he will probably do fine. Sometime in 2013, Adam MUST be on SNL. As for Levine, ya see what a judging job on one of those singing shows will do for you?

  21. I am getting a vibe from reading tweets that JB is going to host SNL.

  22. It sounds like people are again interchanging our Adam with Adam Levine. Not only could be the case on SNL rumor but also the previous post saying our Adam is 33 when its Levine who is 33. Sheesh! I don't know what to believe.

  23. Agree 2:30pm Canadian - going on 4 years this month and I keep wondering if this unusual addiction of mine will wind down ..... NOPE!! just gets sweeter and stronger ..... beard, no beard, blond, striped, black, silver, tattoos, no tattoos ...still just love the guy. Don't need a fan list (fake or not) to feel damn lucky to have Glambert-For-Life status.

  24. Dolly Parton? Who did this survey? Crazy...

  25. Just a comment: Some may find a few of these names to be a little surprising, but they truly are "gay icons", those performers/singers/personalities who enjoy a considerable GLBT fanbase. Dolly Parton included. Its actually pretty cool that Adam is #10. Means he's made some real strides in being recognized by the community. Love it!!!

  26. Yes, but where is Chris Colfer and Darren Criss if this is a true list?

    ReplyDelete
  27. @Anon 11:20 PM
I'm going out on a very shaky limb here but I'm thinking that this list is a general "all time favorites, all ages" list and perhaps Chris Colfer and Darrin Criss are more well known and popular amongst the younger fans (because of Glee) and are on the list but further down?? Perhaps they'll make this list (which is probably not the "be all and end all" list anyway..) as time goes by. I'm sure there are other names that are not on here.... Most on this list have had a high profile in the gay community for quite a while. Adam is certainly one of the more recent. I suspect David Beckham is too...

  28. Really STUPID! A fan is a fan is a FAN . NOT GAY NOT STRAIGHT JUST A FAN.

  29. @Anon 4:54 AM
I think you may have missed the point of this list. And I agree: "a fan is a fan is a fan", but this particular "list" involves those celebrities (gay or straight) who certain of the GLBT like particularly and consider "icons"...just how it is. Many "Divas" on this list for instance... Streisand, Cher, Celine Dion, etc........and "Divo" Adam..

  30. Thanks, glitzy lady, understanding the list more because of you.
I'm quite ecstatic that ADAM made it at No.10 considering the trashing he gets from some of the LGBT community.
