ADAM LAMBERT "Let's Dance" Evolution 2009 - 2012

Video by NightBirdsObsession:

Adam Lambert debuted "Let's Dance" during the 2009 American Idol Live tour. He didn't perform it again until December 2012 when it was reinterpreted and evolved into a new and dynamic opening number for a televised show which he also hosted. Known for his stellar voice, outstanding stage presence and showmanship, Adam headlined his highly successful 2010 Glam Nation Tour, became a Grammy nominated singer-songwriter, released his critically acclaimed sophomore album "Trespassing" which topped the Billboard chart at #1, and has emerged as an international pop star with a passionate and devoted global fan base.

The first video was taken in Uniondale, NY on August 11, 2009, the first time I ever saw Adam perform live. The second video was taken in Los Angeles, CA on December 16, 2012.

  1. Interesting and very nice. Thank you for posting this.

I think Adam looks better with a little less weight, but then I never noticed any weight issue during Idol. ♥

  2. Each year since Idol Adam has movrd steadily into the performer he is today. I do believe he prefers his thinner version. I do believe I do also.

  4. Yea, interesting, in retrospect...by the way it's the same Rickey Minor band; it goes to show the importance of long-term working relations. The Divas one is so polished but the first one showed Adam raw and rough. I like that echo sound effect of Adam's voice.

  5. Adam certainly has come a long way. He does look better now with a little less weight and the hair is a bit different. At least he is never boring or uninteresting and always keeps us wanting more.

  6. That second part of the video sounds great and you can actually see parts of his movements in scene that couldn't be appreciated in the official VH1 video. He looks and sounds great. Loved listening to the public applauding and cheering during the song, it was awesome.

  7. VIETNAM FANS of ADAM LAMBERT

"With the vocal ability of a massive star, American Idol 2009 runner-up ADAM LAMBERT made all 2,000 spectators, including the famous guests who don’t usually express themselves while watching music shows also stand up and applaud and cheer.

With A half an hour of the stage, Adam Lambert performed his famous songs, as the stage exploded with the high notes he is “renowned” for!

It looks like a 30-minute performance on the “H-Artistry 2013″ stage by runner-up “American Idol 2009″ runner-up was not enough for the thousands of anxious fans.

Adam Lambert makes the audience stand up!
Compared with two female colleagues, Adam Lambert had positive exchanges with the audience. Through each song, he has a brief exchange screen to introduce the next item. He also constantly moved to the side wings of the stage to greet the audience. Before that, he suddenly jumped into the stands to ask for a name of a female fan, whom he praised: “Today you looked so beautiful.”

Friendly gestures and professionalism has made American singer recording star a favorite with the audience.

Adam’s lover, the Finnish TV star Sauli Koskinen had a select seat in the front row of the VIP to watch his boyfriend. Sauli looked very comfortable and proud to see Adam on stage.

However, many people, especially the loyal fans of the singer said 30 minutes was too short. It is well known that the majority of the audience came to see Adam perform, but the duration of the program was almost equally divided for all three artists.

This made the fans of American Idol runner-up “thirst” for more from their idol. But, because at that very quality, making them hope that one day he will return with a spectacular concert of his own.

Bass guitarist Adam – Tommy Ratliff also very popular because of talent and good looks.

Unfortunately, only in Adam’s performances did the sound have problems. In the first half of the song If I Had You, Adam’s voice was too low and it was difficult to hear. But in the second half, the sound improved.

The sound systems were prepared by a Vietnamese company and although, it could’ve ruined the show of the handsome singer, overall, the viewer was satisfied with the enthusiasm and fire of his American voice. It was hard to take your eyes off the movement of Adam Lambert and the dancers on stage."

"ADAM LAMBERT: Adam Lambert is always exciting when he hits a red carpet, and his 2012 looks were no exception. He looked good in any hair color he
tried, rocked a suit like no other, and went glam better than anyone else. He is fierceness personified, and we can’t wait to see what he has in store for 2013!"

  11. I LOVED his earlier version of himself - wild guy handsome - loved his size, thought he was perfect!!! not fat, just handsome guy size who looked amazing in his jeans and bare shoulders. Killed me. Still does.
His slimmer self is indeed gorgeous and I love him just as much, but nothing beats the beginning for me.

  13. Brian London's big hint...what's today (Jan.6th)....well, it's Epiphany (Three Kings Day) but I hardly think that would have anything to do with Adam! What else is significant about January
    6th?.....JAK

  14. @JAK

Maybe it has nothing to do with Adam? Perhaps Brian has an independent project...Ashley tweets she has 6 weeks off but Brian has work in 2 days.....tis a mystery!

  17. Pope Benedict recently declared Christmas 25 Dec is not Jesus' birthday. I guess it won't change much since it's such an antique tradition; people will continue to celebrate Christmas on this day. Some don't even celebrate it as the birthday of Jesus; it's inferred in various ways other than the birth of Christ. But I much prefer Christmas to be celebrated as the birth of Christ, first in mind and probably tied in with other connotations. Some think Christmas is SantaClaus-mas!
    !0:00 Merry Christmas!!

  18. Re Brians tweet, rumour has it he's working with The Saturdays, a girl group from the UK who are visiting the US.

Re that Vietnam article...I think the Korean girl also had sound issues on the English song she sang anyways, it looked like she couldn't hear herself at all.

  20. Thanks for posting this. It was nice to see the "evolution".
However, personally i think there are many other performances on the AI tour, far more better than the one used on this video. This is one of those nights where Adam was too tired, and tried to control and calm his voice for the other nights. Also his dance moves are way more reserved on this one for whatever reason.
IMO the performance in Philly was one of the best ones vocally. I've even converted the whole medley to audio and added it to my Adam playlist on my MP3 player.
Tnx again and pardon me for being picky about it. I just think these videos can be viewed by many non-Glamberts or newly-became Glamberts and it would be much better if they could see the best of Adam.

  21. All I can say is Adam Mitchel "FIERCE" Lambert is getting better and better every time he performs on stage. He changes his performance and not boring...

Who else in this generation can do that???

  22. Adam has sound issues almost everywhere he performs and I'm NOT a troll. I hope he's able to find a solution to whatever is the sound problem.

Oh I agree .... I prefer the 1st performance too .... very mmmmm mmmmm. That is one sexy pelvis he swivels! I love men of solid build though, of course, Adam looks mighty fine slender as well.
I prefer the 1st performance vocally too.

  27. I've noticed it too about the sound issues. He often seems to be playing with the ear mikes and pointing to the sound person to change or do something about the sound. It's not his fault and in spite of any issues, he continues to do an amazing job.

  28. I just don't understand why he isn't played on the radio here. It makes me angry!

  29. Loved the fan review of the Vietnam concert. The audience really got a treat, maybe more than they expected. As good as they were, he really outshown the two girls. He is larger than life on stage. Cool to hear that there were celebrities in the audience who were very impressed.
I love all of Adam's "evolution" stages. GNT was epic in its own way. But each change of look and style has added to his confidence and his potential with what he can do on stage. And he can do ANYTHING on stage!

Then let us all continue to be mindful of how we VOTE in this country! I am not being snarky, I am being quite serious.

It makes me upset too btw. However, I continue to have faith that Adam's star will rise and shine brightly, as he is simply too talented, and quite frankly, special, to be ignored. It might end up that he turns out to be more of a "niche" performer/entertainer, but that is okay too! He is worthy of iconic status, for sure, he is truly a once in a generation talent with voacal prowess to die for, IT factor spilling over everywhere... all those good things... but hopefully his international appeal and acclaim will at least allow for him to be enough of a financial draw for him to keep his label and keep making music; I think it will! So good news all around.

  31. The Idol Tour clip brings back such good memories. I was fascinated and mesmerized by Adam's physical and stage presence. OH MY YES! I still am. I know that he will continually reinvent and move his career forward. I can't imagine that we would have not been introduced to him . He's like a good first date that you can't get enough of.

  33. I heard Adam say the mike thing was turned down, after first no.someone came up and adjusted it, he said it was just turned down, had nothing to do with h! I noticed nothing the performance was incredable! Any diss apointment was they wanted a lot more! Most of the time if not always when Adam is in a show, that who they are there for! I do like Adam's polished slim look the best now, he is the best performer I have ever seen,he does not always have sound problems! Because his voice his song strong it Mau be harder for him to hear than other's, especially girl's with not ad powerful voices! I love Aurea, love tone of her voice but in no way is she in the same league as Adam Lambert, very, very few are in this decade not sure no any just a very few of old, like Whitney, MC, ok, AF just a few F Metcury, did not ever follow, knew little about so will not judge! I loved this performance on my video it was 40 minutes long, it was one best seen any sound problems not his fault, hopefully any problems like that will be ironed out but in this case it was a turned down to low mike, sp? That was disappointment, the word used earlier, sue

  35. I do not believe Ada going any where, he will be here for years in one way or another! Is album did quite well abroad! It obviously made enough money, for third one! He growing bigger every day internationally, especially Asia, he will continue to grow! vH1 respects the hell put of Adam, yes I have been mad at them in the pat! Even in USA, Adam has done good things this year! His big challenge is radio here, most places abroad play a lot! Let's hope third one charm here, but will do well abroad! The album was no. 1 here, thanks to Glbwrts, Glbwrts are main reason he done well, they will always be there and they are growing in no., is twitter has grown a lot this year. Well I have got to get stuff done today, I alshave to eye operation's have to get done in either jan. or feb. just caterac's. So got it caught up! Think I will leave everyone to the lovely Adam for couple days! Check back see if anything happening, think will be slow until Febuary! Then oh baby! Adam is gonna be fine, US or not bit hr does have support here, at least VH1 loves him, as a show host and performer, I have a big feeling Adam going to be one of the biggest performer's aboad in next two years, certainly Asia! Anyway see you couple days! Sue

  37. Anon 6:35 Regarding your comment about Adam sometimes "pointing to the sound person to change or do something about the sound". The reason might be that Adam is using different song technique for the slower songs. Not so much power so it can be more emotional. He wants the sound to be just perfect for both the slower songs and the uptempo songs. Not many singers has such powerful vocals that Adam has.
