With regard to Lady Gaga, I also think she's one fierce, talented artist; she's not afraid to lead and she's very protective of her friends; for instance, when the media was exploding with negativity about Adam's punching a hole in the ceiling at her party, I don't remember her saying anything negative at all on the matter...she's a good person with her eyes on the prize as well.

ReplyDeleteI don't think Katy Perry should be on this list. She's not the next Lady Gaga, she's the first Katy Perry. She's actually the un-Gaga. Almost as big, if not bigger.
The problem with this list is that most of the singers aren't in Gaga's vein at all. Only Adam and and Miley Cyrus are trying to tap into the same vein. Many (like Cee-Lo) are just aiming for cartoon-like memorability, which is working but there's a playfulness to them that Gaga dosn't have. Sh's all business.
Adam is always very stylish and cool looking guy, even in his over-the-top outfits.

He makes people want to cuddle up with him on the couch. I just can't imagine anyone wanting to cuddle up with Gaga. I know she's a kind, generous person and has done good things with her money and influence. But Adam, for all his glam, has that boy-next-door quality that makes him so lovable.

ReplyDeleteDon't know Lady Gaga in depth but from the way she treats people and in particular Adam, for instance, when she gave Adam her song Fever, she didn't really need to be there to guide him through the song, but she went out of her way to do that. And she did say from the onset, she gave Adam the best song; I was apprehensive about that but later realised she meant what she said. Adam seems to have been inspired, till his latest performance of Fever, he sings it with so much passion. Also she speaks up openly for the gay community, even brought it to the attention of high-level officials. Her songs are of a high standard, composed by her and I like several of them...very strong rhythm and beat typical of Gaga songs. So looking beneath her facade of unusual fashions, I envisage a more serious person who is determined and cares deeply for others. This is one way I accredit people...how they treat others and the outward fashions, behaviour come second.
