  1. Someone asked Shosh if Adam would be doing promo in the US, and she said yes. Looking forward to seeing him making the rounds here at home! Hope he gets on some of the major shows.

  2. The Sundance film festival starts a week from today. Hope Fairyland gets a good reception. Sundance is very influential when it comes to film promotion and success. It's great that Adam is a part of it.

  3. I hope Adam had a substantial part in Fairyland... and it's well received. He's been great in every part he's had to date. I loved him in Glee, although I feel he basically played himself.

And I thought he was absolutely extraordinary as the Devil in "Tales Dark and Grimm" (which I revisit occasionally, just to marvel at how he perfectly assumed the character, voice and accent).

  4. It's already been said that Adam's role in Fairyland is pretty small but it's pivotal to the story. I'm just happy that he's in a film that has been chosen for a showing at Sundance. It's a pretty big deal.

  5. Adam will be attending a Sundance social event in Nevada with some big names there. And he'll be doing a one-night album release concert in London just when the album is released in February. Lots going on!

  6. Yes a lot more of Adam to come. Also Adam and other artists are going to be honored at Sundance for their charity or good deeds work (I hope I have this info correct) dinner this Friday the 20, 1 day before the Fairyland screening on Saturday. I doubt it but it would be nice if that Koko Club show in February can be streamed but fat chance for that happening. Guess have to rely on fans videos. :))

  7. Adam just created a bit of a kerfuffle by saying in Attitude Magazine that actor Theo James should not play the role of George Michael in the proposed biopic because Theo is straight. Adam said, " Yay. Another straight man playing a gay icon." Adam has said in the past that gay actors should get a better shot at playing gay roles. Straight actors have played gay characters for years AND VICE VERSA. Personally, I think a good actor can portray a person of the opposite orientation just fine if the role suits them. I get where Adam is coming from, but I'm not sure I agree with him. He has always been a strong advocate and I respect him for that. BTW, Adam did not insinuate that he wanted the role himself.

  8. Well, he's got a point. With the number of openly gay actors around, it would seem logical to look in that direction when filling the part of a gay person... they would certainly have more insight into the part. Also, it might help with cross-over parts, where more gay actors would be considered for a wider range of straight parts. I'm glad Adam is a strong advocate...he should be.

Of course he wouldn't SAY he would like the role for himself....but is there any doubt that he would love the opportunity to play George Michael? Of course, it could be a big risk for Adam, too.....especially since his own "international star-status" is already very close to Michael's. He's barely "worked through" the flack he's gotten about replacing Freddie Mercury with Queen.

If anything, Adam should play HIMSELF in a biopic! Now THERE'S a thought!

  9. I think.there will be a biopic of Adam some time in the future. His full influence hasn't yet been felt. Someone will play him and get it just right.

  10. ?WHO?....could play him? It would certainly have to be lip-synced!

  11. Adam was on the red carpet and on the panel of actors from Fairyland at Sundance! He made such heartfelt comments about the film and how happy he was to be a part of it. The film is getting very positive resctions!

  12. I hope we'll get a video of that!

  16. WOW! An absolutely SURREAL head-scratcher! It took me a while to figure out what happened there. MANY thanks for that Mi Re La.

  17. For some reason I can't open that long link. What happened in North Korea?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Dee R Gee....here's a link in Youtube for that performance. You'll find an explanation to it down in the comments below...whew!...I couldn't believe how/why the Chinese military would be singing "I Want To Break Free" to their Dictator! That SHOULD cause a LOT of heads to roll!

  20. Nanbert, thanks so much for the link to the north Korean performance. Can't believe the irony of it all. Do they even know what the are singing? It's extremely totalitarian society.

  21. Dee R Gee, you're welcome. But I guess you didn't catch the information in the youtube comments below the video.

It's actually a brilliantly constructed EDIT! The visual performers WERE the North Koreans (obviously singing something very patriotic), but the soundtrack is from a video of a 6,500-person Pub Choir (singing Queen's IWTBF)....check the link to the soundtrack in the youtube comments. The guy who edited it is an absolute genius! It's SO REAL!

Even though I know it's an edit, I can't catch any glitches! It certainly is jarring, isn't it? Wow!

Heh, heh... can't imagine what the North Koreans will feel when they discover this video...especially the "Dear Leader"! He'll probably have to "lop off a few heads"... just on principle!

  22. Here's the link to the actual soundtrack..... from the comments below the Youtube Video:

  23. Lol! I feel so stupid not noticing that. Thanks, Nanbert, for pointing it out. I must have really been in a hurry! North Korea is a very sad example of how cruel absolute power can be.
