  1. Adam and Sauli...this is an anniversary you'll never forget!
It's 2:25 a.m. here in Tampa and in the last hour...I've gotten phone calls from my Tampa daughter and BFF geek squad son in law, my grandson in Orlando and my daughter in Lakeland all cheering...except for my youngest's husband, a staunch Republican! We love him anyway!
I'm happy dancing and will probably be up all night!......JAK

  2. Great nite for women as well. Not only did Pres. Obama win but in Missouri Dem.Claire McCaskill beat the "legitimate rape" Rep. Todd Akin - Dem. Elizabeth Warren won in Mass. - Dem. Tammy Baldwin in Wisconsin. The "if a woman becomes pregnant due to a rape, it's Gods will", Rep. Richard Murdock lost in Indiana and a real vile antigay Republican George Allen lost in Virginia. Not too shabby. . . . Adamluv

  3. I'm hoping that Mitt Romney will be kind enough to share his wonderful plan for 12 million new jobs even though he wasn't elected.
Don't keep that secret to yourself
Mitt, these are your countrymen who are hurting.

  4. Forgot to mention Maggie Hassan won in New Hampshire - the only female Democratic governor.

  5. It's a night to celebrate....President Obama's speech in Chicago tonight was very inspirational and yes, it did make me cry. So glad we can begin again to start helping each other get things done in this country for the good of all of us, especially our children and grandchildren and generations to come. I'm so tired of all the fighting.
And, thank you, Adam, for your efforts to get the vote for marriage equality in Maryland. May it be a reality in all of our states in the near future. Sweet dreams.

  8. @ Adamluv.....JAK here

I was so glad to see these women win...Elizabeth Warren is a special hero of mine. I've heard her on many occasions on TV interviews. She's so intelligent and cuts thru the crap and gets to the core of a problem with a plan to fix it. I hope she will be listened to with the respect she deserves. I think she's one of those people who can make a difference.

If it had not worked out do well, I still would be proud of you, for standing up for what you believe in! Maybe I was not as brave as you, but I was really scared of Romney, I very happy, whether people agree with me or not! Again so proud of you, and happy you have someone in your life that grounds you and makes you happy, never pay any attention to the people, who try to bring you down! Happy for you and America and beyond, because all of this has an effect on America and beyond! That was I am so proud of you! Of course so happy for the marriage equality victories, and hope there are many more! Sue

Good morning fellow glamberts first I want to say congrats to Mr. Obama and to our our sweet Adam and Sauli...next thanks to all of those who offered your support when I had a little melt down last week. I decided to take your good advice and just take a little break. I had a very bad week last week, and was so hateful I didn't even like being around me.I was telling my son and he said I should sit down and write something. He and I used to do that when he was little...we'd makeup a story or a poem to take our minds off things...he was always better at it than me, but I gave it a try and it worked. I've always enjoyed the poems some of you have written about Adam so thought I'd share mine with you

  34. So much to celebrate today! Congrats to President Obama! I hope he gets the opportunity from Congress on both sides of the aisle to GET THE JOB DONE. Enough with obstructionists and do-nothings. The rest of the world is largely happy about the election results. Now, cooperation and compromise are needed!

That fan art picture of Adam and Sauli is one of the most romantic and sexy pictures I have EVER seen! Yikes, it's hot. I wonder if Adam and Sauli will get to see it somehow.

GREAT IDEA about having Adam sing at the inauguration. What a wonderful statement THAT would make. Not to mention the incredible voice. It would be something if Obama could be persuaded to have him do it.

Now, can we remember to keep requesting Trespassing????? I wish Adam would be on the AMAs again, at least as a presenter. Oh well.

  35. Part 2
He has a date with destiny
    A rendezvous with fame,
He has a message for the world
He has our hearts to claim.
    He has such rare beauty
    In face and in song,
He has a spirt lkie the wind
    A heart forever strong.
With the voice of an angel
And a smile like the sun
    He came here to remind
to fill our lives with fun.
    He's brought something special
    To you and to me,
    He brought understanding
to all that choose to see.
He's shown us we're all human
And all need a friend no matter
Of our age orientation or skin.
    He's changed our lives
    And thinking whether mister
    Or whether madame,
    He's brought us all together
This wild child we call Adam.

    Peace ,light and love...rose petal

  43. @Anon 8:01 AM
Instead of posting your constant words of hatred toward our (my) American President here, perhaps you could instead go out and do something to help the people in America who are suffering. There is GREAT need for volunteers in a wide range of areas. PLEASE Channel your negative energy for good, and be a part of the solution, not part of the problem. Even Mitt Romney was gracious in his concession speech, and suggested it was time to work together.. I suggest you take a clue from him and start working to make America, or your own country if you are not American, the best place it can be. Thanks for (hopefully) listening.

PS: to the rest of you here: Sorry just had to address this person one time. Never again.

Don't beg from Romney! Obama is our savior and is leaeding us to jobs and prosperity.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Republican party should change their way of thinking from materialism to acceptance of people of all races, sexual orientations, genders (Women in particular), students, small business owners, etc. etc. The outdated way of thinking doesn't work in this millennium anymore. Accept unity in diversity and work for the betterment of your community. This with it brings economic progress. Spiritual solutions to economic problems.

  55. @JAK,I was up also until 3AM with my daughter that had to get up at 5:30AM for work, but we were so ecstatic we didn't want to miss a thing! Silence also from 2 GOP family members (son-in-law and nephew that must be in shock. A happy night for Adam and Sauli with much to celebrate! I'm thrilled that the Supreme Court justices will not be replaced by those opposed to women's rights and personal medical decisions. I sincerely hope that Mitt and the GOP will also make an effort to come together to unite this country and go forward.@ Adamluv good info that also strengthened my resolve. NC has a lot of growing to do, unfortunately previously denying same sex marriage with prop 8. Yay Maine and Maryland and all of those that will support our President, regardless of political party. "United we stand, divided we fall" are prophetic and is so true. @Rose Petal, Beautiful poem to lighten and inspire after so many tense days! Thankyou for sharing it with us.@8:01, You seem deeply disturbed and misinformed. So sorry you are consumed with such negativity and hatred. It will not gain you any fans or respect for your opinion. Posting senseless words that do nothing to gain you credibility is such a waste of time and has the opposite effect on what you're hoping to accomplish. More hatred or attention to your lack of reality? I don't understand what you hope to gain on this site.

  61. @daydreamin, You always brighten my day with your caring words and always make me feel so good! Thankyou! I also don't know what we would do without you ferreting out all of the good Adam stuff and I can kive vicariously thru' you when you get up close to Adam! Can't wait until you see Adam in Dec. and get a first hand account! I think this will be a great year for Adam. My sister and a friend in Chicago, along with a sister-in-law are now Glamberts! I broke them down with videos, stories and sending them Trespassing albums! My sister also tends bar in her neighborhood for the local neiborhood lunch crowd and entertainers that are there frequently. They are now playing Adam's Trespassing and Time for Miracles on the juke box! Baby steps, but gettingthere a few at a time. We will get a group to see Adam in concert when he's in Chicago. I have my bases covered in South Florida, but sadly have to find some Glamberts in Charlotte, as my son is no longer here to go with me and tease me. I seriously hope to find a way to travel to see our boy live! "Where there's a will, there's a way!" Wouldn't it be fun to have a tour bus like Adam and pick up 24/7 fans across the country to go from concert to concert? We will have to think outside of the box and get creative! Would love to at least have a "meet you all party!"

  66. hmmm..I wonder what happened to my post of yesterday. Well, so much for freedom of political speech.

    Back to Adam.

    ReplyDelete
  67. 12:19 The secret was to get Obama out so that the Republicans could interfere with progress: overturn the affordable universal program healthcare (which every other western democracy has) and stonewall LGBTQ equality rights at every opportunity.

The US economy has experienced 13 consecutive months of growth, however small, and is in the early stages of turn-around. The Republicans were hoping to win and claim the recovery for their own. At least this time, it didn't happen.

Brace yourself for the next act: Jeb Bush - a guy who can't even run an election - is proposing to continue his brother's fine work in the White House in 4 more years.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Well, still no word from the State of Embarrassment...Florida that is.
They didn't even start counting mail in absentee ballots until yesterday. The only thing crystal clear in this election is that we don't like bullies...hear that Gov. Scott? After all his and the legislature's attempts to thwart voters...in Miami people were still standing in line at 1:00 a.m.
Wed. morning to vote. They were determined to make their way thru a 10 page ballot no matter how exhausted they were after 6 hrs. in line. You don't want to underestimate the passion of a majority of people who became citizens the hard way...they chose to be Americans and take part in the responsibilities and privileges of citizenship. They want their vote to count even though the race is ended. A matter of pride..........JAK

  71. Just wanted to leave this message here...
I was late for work that day due to listening to Obama's victory speech. He made me (ME!) wish him to be my president for, say, 10 years or so.
Hm, could I ask for a blood donation from your president by any chance? In the name of international friendship, strategic partenership, humanitarian cause, religious 'oneness'... Or anything.
The best (political) speech I've ever heard! When the reality is what it is, you are given HOPE and, sometimes, that's all we need to make it work.
I think I'll dream on with you people, at least for a while.
    :-)
