  3. why is it so hard for adam to get on snl? someone said snl is olny for top selling singers...WHAT!

    ReplyDelete
  4. i also read somewhere that judges on singing show should only for top selling artists. REALLY!

  5. I guess Adam is touring in countries where his albums sell big time. Such a shame because fans in other countries are crying out for him to perform where they live.

  6. Adam is certainly going to very busy in Asia with all his appearances in the early months of 2013. Their gain is our loss. But he should go where they love and support him and want to see him perform. I'm sure the money is good and Adam deserves it. One day the American listening public will finally wake up to understand what we as his loyal fans have realized from the first note he sang on American Idol. He is fabulous, the best vocal talent in music today. In addition, with his charm, sense of humor, intelligence and unique personal style, Adam Lambert is the consummate performer.

  7. Adam is gaining respect in the US one media person at a time because of his incredible talent, humble and fun personality, intelligent conversation, his integrity and beliefs of equality for all, and a smile to die for. Now, Adam, please don't wear any real fur :).

  8. Was switching around T.V. channels tonight and Train was singing Drive By on Miss Universe. The lead singer was awful live. I know the song sounds fine on the radio as most do,but not many artists can sing live so beautifully like Adam! Happy he is getting so huge in Asia.@7:44 Yes ,exactly my feelings in your wonderful post!

  9. 8:24, I agree. Adam may not be touring in the U.S., but he HAS been making connections in the media world and in circles of other singers and celebrities. All these connections are important and should pay off. People get to know him and they really like him. His many talents will be tapped in time in the U.S.

  12. OT: speaking of reality singing shows. Did anyone notice the voice and X-factor and all the award shows finales ect are all having the same performers on. Pitbull again tomorrow on x-factor. Demi lovato again tonight- it's like they all make the rounds. Also they all sing the same damn songs, feelin good, hallelujah, lean on me, both on the voice and X-factor. Doesn't one show know what the other is doing? I forget what show I'm watching, cuz they all do the same. Of course, idol started it with those songs- but geez can't we get something different like Mr. Adam Lambert. Just venting- Carly for the win on x-factor although I want tate Stevens also.

  13. I haven't really ever watched SNL- I didn't even think it was big anymore- years ago maybe- but who am I to say- I never watch- but of course I would if Adams ever on. I think there are bigger shows however like all these reality shows DWTS, The voice, and X-factor. Those are what people watch.

  14. Whoa! I'm going to scramble to his show by hook or by crook!! Let's see what shall I do...okay calm down, one step at a time, lol! Hey Adam, thank you for making it here finally! I don't know, I even have this rather strange feeling you might come a lot more times, lol! Okay, very nervous now...where do I start...hmm, how to buy tickets. lol! Hey Adam, how about making a movie here; your Pantages Theatre...you were invited to 'open' it unofficially being the first artist to 'baptise' the stage. SingBerts...Well done!!

  16. I have a feeling Adam might perform in South America at some stage. He's said he'd like to go there so hopefully it will be for a concert or two. He has a strong following in South America.

  17. I've been to Singapore - it's a great place. :)

  18. Completely OT - but I just saw the comment below on a fashion article of Adam's Divas outfits. Sauli customized Adam's boots for his ROL outfit!!! Go Sauli!!

"This look was styled with matching KTZ gloves and black boots, custom spiked by Adam’s boyfriend!"

    ReplyDelete
  19. 9:44.....Thank you. :)

I just watched Adam clowning at the Divas show; he's so natural in his acting / clowning. lol! Laughed like crazy, especially when he was 'crying' beneath the piano, clutching the leg. lol! Rickey Minor and Band is a top class band, very tight, consistent sound. Rickey Minor might have recommended Adam to host the Divas; he's one of the producers and knows Adam's capabilities, from AI. The stage decor and choreography is very artistic, glamorous. It's been a long time since I watched such a good show; Adam made the difference and the rest of the cast gave their all.

Yea the boots and gloves caught my attention...Sauli is very artistic. The boots went so well with the antique sign-coat. The studded, silverish gloves, when he was hosting...stylish, original.

  22. Excited for beautiful Singapore because their deserving for sure. Last ADAM visit to the Southern Hemisphere Singapore missed out due to the schuedule. And yes, America does need to open it's eyes to the wonder of Adam. There are endless run of the mill entertainers in the US music industry that absorbed the airways with the same old same old. AND yet here's Adam in all his splendor of brilliance who can cream every single one of them!!!!!

  23. GRRREAAAAT Popstar.com review of Adam on Diva's:

No matter, the show must go on, and so it did. With enough swag and sparkle to dazzle even the highest brows in Tinsel town, Lambert was a natural and broke some new ground, allowing the audience to see that he can be both funny and fierce. It's a fact his Glamberts know well, but until tonight, had not yet been witnessed by the mass populus.

As for Lambert? He has now been initiated into a very elite club. Okay, so he's not a choreographer's dream. He even admitted to that. But the first-time host brought an element of whimsy and unabashed sex appeal to The Game as he carried a big load on his shoulders and didn't flinch once - not even when the fiercest diva's crossed his path. Maybe they'd best watch out for him. In the affectionate words of NeNe herself, "I'm gonna say this because No One else will. Adam Lambert is a b*tch on wheels!"

That ought to be enough for a return gig next year. 'Duck lips' and all.

  28. @daydreamin - now that's what I call a great review! Thank you. And re: SNL - every current artist has appeared on SNL so it is still a relevant show. Sometimes the skits are fabulous and other times, behond horrid IMO. @Lam-my, just tried to convey what I experienced and it was a perfect example of being in the right place at exactly the right time! . . . NeNee is a very natural actress; don't know her at all; through Adam's various encounters, I've come to know many new Hollywood faces. She's really good...like it when she tells the pianist: You're fired!...sooo funny; and then she says: He didn't win!...so poking fun at that fiasco, lol! How do actors like Adam and NeNee keep a straight poker face under such hilarious circumstances. I bet they have to do many takes to keep that poker face on. lol! Thanks again for the Vimeo video, very sharp, very good sound of Rickey Minor's band and Adam's and NeNee's spoken words; watch it several times a day. Laughing is good for the heart! The duck-lips is weird! lol! Hey we need Adam and NeNee do more skits; they're in synch! lol!

  33. What makes Adam so funny is a rubber face that can do fierce, duck lips, sexy, indignation--just about any look called for. The skit with Nene and Paula was so precious, it deserves an Emmy nod, no less. Adam needs a show to showcase all his talents. So glad people saw how multi-gifted he truly is. Now, Glamberts don't seem so biased or crazy when we flail so about Adam, as he truly is phenomenal in more ways than the obvious. atm

  34. Re: Train lead singer, idk his name, but I couldn't help but feel the pageant needed the extravaganza treatment that Adam would have given it. The guy's voice, demeanor, and songs just seemed so like a "sore thumb". Adam would have added extraordinary sparkle to the show. But then, on second thought, if Adam had been there, he would have stolen those women's hearts and been too distracting. Never mind. atm

  35. Great seeing NEIL playing piano at the beginning of the hilarious sketch. That's what he meant when he tweeted "there may be more than one Lambert at VH1 Divas"!

  36. JAK here....I've written two scripts in my head for Adam....first is a SNL skit with Betty White as a Glambert turning up at all Adam's performances and his Whole Foods Store. The second is a guest spot on Hot in Cleveland with Adam coming to visit Aunt Betty and her three roommates reacting to him sleeping on the couch for a couple days.
In my mind....they are quite amusing.

My body doesn't get a lot of exercise, but my mind keeps hopping from one scenario to another!

  37. JAK, you are brilliant. Your ideas are great! Adam is ripe for the plucking with all kinds of TV work, esp. comedy. He's so natural.
As for SNL, it's still a very influential show. To get a gig on it is still a big deal. I'm not a regular viewer anymore, but getting on the show is a big feather in any performer's cap, esp. hosting. I hope Adam gets to do it someday. The VH1 show proves that he has the chops. Getting on SNL is like getting on the cover of RS, which Adam has already achieved. It also occured to me that it would make sense for Adam to AT LEAST be a presenter on the Grammys. He had a No.1 album that carried historical significance wtih it. He's done some high-profile gigs, VH1, Queen, etc. It would make sense to me.

Whatever happens, 2013 will be an interesting year. Adam is off is many new directions.

  39. JAK I have some skits worked out for Adam for SNL. Two parents are lovingly looking thru the glass admiring their newborn and the nurse holds up the baby for them and it has on a onesie with shoulder spikes. It's an ongoing skit through the show,he is outside on the playground at school in the Dragon attak jacket and on and on. INTERVENTION!!

  40. !0:46 That is hilarious!! You should send that idea to SNL, its brilliant! I can see it now.....

Lei ho ma! Always so nice to hear from you, my Cantonese toong-pow! lol! I probably will be going with a brother who has often asked me for invites of any sort and he sure is one helluva globe-trotter, but not so much into music. Adam will probably be an eye-opener for him. Another possibility will be with my daughter who works overseas but has indicated she'll be back this year. As long as I get to see Adam on stage, wailing, prancing, lol! that's all it matters; I might even go alone, so nothing planned yet. Thank you so much for your kind offer. If only I was as energetic as a long time ago, I would visit Madagascar in a heartbeat; have always loved islands and islanders; having lived on one all my life. Love the idea of totally surrounded by sea! lol! But I knew Adam would be coming; there are several companies like this one, Hype, who bring in foreign artists...Lady Gaga, PSY, KPop, Taylor Swift, latest, I saw on tv snippets, Jennifer Lopez just a couple of weeks ago, also Jersey Boys with a superb falsetto lead singer has a contract to sing until Jan next year. We are a cosmopolitan country and foreign artists and our local ones are riding on this music business boom. Thanks Shimayo! Like your name, sounds like the song, jambolya...mio myo...lol!

  43. I like all the skits ideas portrayed here; if you all need further help, I'll be most willing to jump in! Love the Adam / NeNee skits; especially Adam, crying under the piano, clutching the leg...lol!

  44. Now who says Adam cannot act in front of camera, he's so ready for a tv series, a funny one like this Divas skit, combined with his singing, a sort of musical comedy with a light-hearted plot. Paula and NeNee are superb backups. lol! This is the era of the babyboomers, now in their sixties and who need a good laugh rather than seriousness. :)
