I would love to see Adam on Broadway. But at this point in his career, it would have to be something really special for him to consider commiting to an extended period of time on stage. I think his focus for the near future will be the third album and then hopefully a tour. So Broadway will have to wait.
Adam left musical theater for a reason. He has said he wouldn't rule it out for the future but I think it's going to be a long time before time before we see that. I'd rather see him as a recording artist myself.
He left because he was just a chorus boy, understudied but only went on for lead a very few times. His singing was superb, acting only so so. When asked if he'd like to do films, he said yes after some acting lessons. He also didn't like taking direction. That sounds like him. This info is all in interviews he had early idol days. He wanted to be a pop star.
I hope Adams management is seriously exploring broadway options for him
