Lovely pic :) a sweet young fan. The last thing last night the DUET, and I started my morning with it, love it. I can´t take my eyes of him! To night in Sweden will be Eurovision song contest final, the Finnish singer miss Krista kissed woman on stage on semifinal, by the way. M
Glad you told about our contestant from Finland.Marry Me is the name of the song. Nice, remembering a few days ago celebrating GLAAD awards. People commenting in Finland and Sweden very positive, even children say grownups can kiss whoever they want to! Little steps literally! MS
OT . . the last five winners of AI could not sing with these three girls . .Angie, Kree and Candice . .they don't have the chops..... only our BB could do that . .
Another tweet - this one from Pia Toscana Fansite .....
Pia Toscano Fansite@PiaFansDotCom19h Best parts on Idol. @AngieAI12 with Adam Lambert and Jessie J. She know how to rock the stage. Great performance.
As usual, I was at our Thursday PFLAG meeting and missed the AI finale, but just viewed it last night. OMG! What a great duet. I often listen to his "Come to me, Bend to me" version of Brigadoon and found that people had currently commented: Greatest vocalist on the planet (that's the first one and it goes on.)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJYyqzUr6jU
So today I get the New York Times and the article about Idol basically slams the new winner's duet with Ms. Hudson but then says: "The more impressive pairing of current contestant with a previous season's nonwinner on Thursday night was M. Miller singing David Guetta and Sia's Titanium, with Adam Lambert, two shamelessly emoting powerhouses going for broke".
Gee, maybe this country WILL finally notice what we have known for years, now! I think they sure took another look on Thursday night.
Completely Off topic: Recently watched the movie that was made of 'Woodstock 1969'. OMG, such amazing talents back then: Jefferson Airplane, Joe Cocker, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin ALL singing and playing their hearts out LIVE (all LIVE, LIVE, LIVE) and with such freedom on and off stage (yeah, yeah, I know that most were spaced out from drugs but it is still to this day THE most amazing show ever held. While watching, I was imagining how Adam would have loved to live in that era of NO AUTO-TUNING. His voice and soul would have reached every single person out there.
After watching that movie, I felt like we (society and the music biz) have somehow lost the creativity and innocent charm that was so apparent back then. I so hope that Adam can come up with a 'new' sound or a mix of new sounds on his 3rd album, only thinking about what moves him when in the studio, not about $$$, popularity, radio plays, etc. Adam is a lover of all types of music. If someone can do it, he can!
9:38, I've own a copy of the Woodstock film and I also love it! The raw talents back then were amazing! Adam would have fit right in. He would have improvised brilliantly in the pouring rain and would have charmed the masses. Your comments make me want to go back and watch it again.
lmb, I loved the RS article's praise of Adam, too. It seems like some major publications are singling him out for praise while they are not praising the whole show in general. I'm sure Adam is very pleased with the outcome.
Adam got my attention because he is different. Most things outside of mainstream take patience to get noticed. His criteria for doing things (Idol judging, studio work) seems to be creativity, fun, authenticity--not going for fame. So far, it is working for him and I am proud to patiently follow his career. I missed the real Woodstock, but there were some amazing breakthroughs in music then.
So agree with U anon:9:38 a.m!:):):) I would Love to see Adam in a remake of "Jesus Christ Superstar"!!! Adam will simply kill it with his Vocals!!! & Looks, Charm , Compassion, etccccccccccccc

ReplyDeleteToo bad ther aftermath of Woodstock was the early deaths of so many acclaimed artists from drugs and alcohol. Shame
