EXCERPTS FROM THE ARTICLE: GO TO THE LINKS BELOW FOR THE REST OF THE TRACK "RATINGS"
"On this week’s Hump Day with Adam Lambert, we celebrate a very special anniversary. It was five years ago this week that Adam gave the world his debut album For Your Entertainment. Released on November 23, 2009, it debuted on the album chart at #3 to rave reviews, and went gold or platinum in seven countries."
"For this holiday edition of Hump Day, let’s take a track-by-track look back at the album. Does it still hold up?"
"Oh, the traditional gift for a fifth anniversary is … wood … so you can write your own joke."
"Note – Each track will be rated on a scale of 1 – 5 Killer Adams"
And the question at the end of the Article:
"Okay, your turn!! What's your favorite track on FYE? Yes, you have to pick ONE song... Well okay, maybe two..."
"1. MUSIC AGAIN Adam begins his post-Idol career with a fabulous retro-blast from the past. “Music Again” was written by Justin Hawkins (from The Darkness), who knows a thing or two about paying homage to tradition, and Adam imbues it with his own glam rock artistry. A fun, frothy beginning to the album"
"2. FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT The first single from the album peaked at #61 on the chart, but was a perfect public introduction to Adam away from the confines of reality TV. He wanted to make a statement, and he definitely did, especially on a certain Awards Show."
"3. Whataya Want From Me The second single was released at the same time as the album release, and has become (to date), Adam’s most successful single, peaking at #10 and earning him a Grammy nom for Male Pop Vocal. Adam took what was a Pink castoff and made it his own."

(And feel free to add any of the other tracks on the various International versions...).

ReplyDeleteJust looked at the CD list . . I love then all . . .
ReplyDeleteSecond choice "If I had you" loved the video . . .white pants!!!
Can't Let You Go is the best song! Adam's vocals soar so high with such emotion!
ReplyDeleteGot to go with the white pants song . Lol
ReplyDeleteRemember when he sang Soaked on GNT? There was that moment after that one line when he always hesitated and waited until everyone finished cheering and clapping. It was a beautiful thing. I love Fever, too, and FYE. Too many favorites to pick just one.
ReplyDeleteI prefer the version of Soaked from Japan where the culture is respectful and you could hear a pin drop down during Soaked.
ReplyDeleteBroken Open is very special.
ReplyDeleteI love Fever and the ballads Loaded Smile, Sleepwalker and Broken Open and Soaked.
ReplyDeleteYoko Ono retweeted Adam's tweet about the UNICEF Imagine song.
