I'm grateful for all the hard work, info and insight @glitzylady puts out here. And I wish @Admin and @Admin fan (forgot the name of the third Admin Help, sorry) would also "speak" a bit once in a while and at least answer questions, make sure links and sources are visible. Interact more. Not complaining, just making a wish.
This site was made for all fans (and we are reminded of that often) and some of us have been here for years. We do deserve a chance to express our feelings on what the site is currently like, not be told to go elsewhere if we don't like it.
ReplyDeleteI wish Admin would come back. The original Admin. She posted relevant info. She never lectured us. There weren't mistakes in titles.
Seems to be some one-up-man-ship going on between glitzylady and Admin Fan. They post the same thing the other just posted or leave comments "explaining" it and giving links back to their post. That's childish.
It was through users not being happy that Admin Fan and glitzylady were brought in. Maybe it's time for Admin to come back or someone else to fill in.
Considering the time and attention it takes to maintain a site like this and keep it current and informative, I would say that all the admins here do a great job. Glitzy somehow finds the time to post lots of links and she often does a lot of research to check on facts, etc. I see no "intrusion" when she inserts a short comment (clearly identified as her own words) into a quote. And again, it was not a personal opinion, just a statement of fact. The admins are fans, too. If they want to express their opinions at times they can, just like the res of us. I don't see a "personal platform" here.

GL does a great job period! There is absolutely no reason for rudeness. They don't attract trolls from anything they have done unfortunately all sites have rude nasty people who run down people but never sign. This site as had way more than our share.so not very welcoming to put and put rude comments. Admin and GL spend many hours doing this site I appetite it. Nothing is perfect nothing at all. Really this time good night!

I hope the conflicts can be ironed out and we continue business as usual. I do know GL you can't please everyone all the time and you shouldn't need to try. ReplyDeleteI would guess that many other major singers have their voices insured. Makes sense. If something catastrophic happens to your voice, you're covered. It would totally affect your income.
It's common to get insurance before a concert tour. There would be a lot of expenses if you had to cancel.

I, for one, VERY MUCH appreciate the time that glitzylady, Admin Fan, etc. put in for all of us! I doubt if the complainers above would be willing to invest all of THEIR time and effort on behalf of us, Adam's fans. For that matter, I wonder if they even have an idea of the time it takes to keep this site so current. ReplyDeleteI have always appreciated Glitzylady's links and all she contributes to this site as well as the other admin. to keep us informed of Adam news. I had hoped the personal insults would stop & when I saw respectful comments on some threads after a deluge of months of a few deliberately making insulting remarks about Adam and mean arguementative comments directed at specific people I thought the childishness had stopped. It certainly would disappoint Adam to see such rudeness and mean spiritness. I've known some wonderful,thoughtful, kind people on this site & it's a shame that anyone feels the need to attack and be insulting to a fellow Glambert. We've lost so manygood people because of this negativity. Peace, people...
