Adam Lambert Rallies After His Illnes As He And Queen Give A Rousing Performance In Milan

Even severe bronchitis couldn’t keep him down for long!
After having to cancel their show in Brussels a few nights ago, Adam Lambert and Queen were back at it today, giving another perfect performance in Milan. Well, I assume it was perfect–there’s a real lack of videos available right now. Somebody please remedy that.
But even looking at these photos, Adam was on it! Who would guess that just yesterday he was still on bedrest?

Hopefully their tour doesn’t suffer any more illness-related cancellations from the band. They’ve gotta be out there spreading the Gospel of Freddie–and Adam is really the only singer I trust to preach it.
Side note: have we discussed how Adam should play Galileo in the Broadway version of We Will Rock You? There is no Broadway version yet, and Adam is, to me, the perfect choice. Someone make it so!
Launch the gallery check out all the best photos from the Milan show today. Glad you’re feeling better Adam! Although, it’s hard not to feel good when you’ve got all your fans sending you good vibes.

  2. The team is stepping up and coming through for him. It's subtle, but we can see and hear it since we are familiar with every note, every breath he takes. The guys are singing their backup vocals a little louder and it seems a little more often....Brian is stepping in and playing more often to give Adam a rest.

They can declare truthfully "We are the Champions".
    Adam is in good company.

Since in my old age my eyes puddle up at anything touching.......puppies, kittens, babies and when observing acts of kindness and greatness....I seem to be in a constant state of happy weeping....sniff....sniff

  3. @JAK ... You can count me in on that 'old age happy weeping' ... as soon as the kids go home to Mommy (I watch my great grandson 19 mo & my grandson 11 yo (put him on the school bus ... well my hubby & I do) ... I'm glued to my computer looking for news about ADAM & QUEEN. I love the way Brian & Roger have taken ADAM under their wing so to speak & welcomed him into their world. So beautiful to see that kind of friendship between them ... no generation gap there.

You can add me to wepping club. I tear up when I'm proud of him, every time Brian and Roger touch or acknowledge him and sometimes when the audience cheers him. I've always been prone to crying but it was usually reserved for sad movies and books. However, it's difficult not to be touched by the open affection between theses amazing men. It seems Adam's powers don't just affect mere humans they work on rock gods as well.

@ tess4Adam could you give a little extra hug to those great grands for me. We don't even have one single grand child and my kids are getting shall we say a little long in the tooth. I'm beginning to think we're not ever gonna get a grandchild and I know we're to long in the tooth to ever see a great grand .

  7. I'm a bona fide candidate for the weeping, teary eyes group, too....

You all have put to words so much of what I feel and the wonderful reasons as to why Adam effects us so profoundly.

Among so many other exceptional giftings....
Adam also seems to possess this rare quality about him that inspires people to be the best of what they are. To bring the best of themselves.... To be better than they were before they spent time with him. IMO, he effects others this way because this is what he, himself, does as well. He just seems to enhance people ... graciously adapt himself to compliment them.... And enriches lives in the process.

Even without knowing Adam personally.... I can say that has delightfully enriched mine.

As far as I'm concerned... A lot of the world of "fan hood" is - outside of an artist's talent - primarily about the fantasy of that person. (One of the reasons I haven't ever been a big fan of being a 'fan', I suppose). But with Adam.... He is authentic... Real... faults and all. He gives from his heart, believes in excellence and character... And desires to make others happy when they're around him. I beleive that we are the fans of a genuinely beautiful person... who, along with his uber-extraordinary talent & gifts.... Is really quite deserving.

(Alright, alright so I'm probably laying it on a bit thick here... But, you know... in the best of ways... I guess I really don't care. :))

IMHO, with all this and more.... It's easy to see why we get teary eyed.... moved with pride, want the best for him, and feel elated when he succeeds. Adam touches our hearts with his gifts and the enhancement that he brings to the world. He lights up a room with a simple smile... (He has "atmosphere").... And, he reminds us of the beauty of music and the human voice. He creates joy. :)

.... Oh, yeah, and did I mention that he is also one of the most enticing singers EVER to look at... Sexy as hell.... And oozes sensual, boyish charm... And entoxicating charisma on stage?

He is .... without doubt.... Incredibly special. :))

  9. @yada, you expressed yourself beautifully. And I agree 100 percent with every word you wrote. He genuinely appreciates the talents of others; probably why he seems baffled when we pit him against other performers.
