  7. LOVED every second of Adam's performance with Queen! And he was looking very, very sexy in all black with those l-o-n-g legs of his. Yum. Will be re-watching this entire performance many times. Wow-

  8. When that guy Nate sang along with Adam, did anyone notice how Adam hung close to Brian May - as if to say "I'm with them; you're just a visitor". Ha! And I don't mean that Adam was being snarky at all - just that I think Adam enjoyed showing 'pride of ownership'. :-)

  12. Amazing reviews for Adam's performance last night! He is indeed a gift. I think he did pick up some new fans who never thought they'd ever really pay attention to him after Idol. He blew the place away. I though fun was fine. Not in the same vocal league, but Nate seems like a nice guy and gave Adam props.

Are we geared up now for more LMD support??????!!!

  14. Adam always gives his performance 150% He blow the audience away. Glad he was able to do this show in the USA. He needed exposure again. Many people forgot about him, now they are refreshed again.
He looks do darn good, love the outfit and the silver sparkly boots. Everything. My self stayed up for Adam and Queen performance.
I am usually in bed at that time, But made it. I knew what Adam was doing at that time, and it felt good, he was having the time of his life.

  15. Just have to say: I was there and am still pinching myself. I enjoyed the entire festival night one but was once again blown away by Adam Lambert and his phenomenal voice. So proud of Adam. And so thankful that I had this perhaps once in a lifetime opportunity. Just thinking about it brings tears to my eyes. Simply incredible night..

  16. Wow!It was breathtaking performance!
My husband said that it's too bad we coudn't afford the tickets. But who knows, miracles happen and may be Queen+Adam will have tour in US.
Also, my husband was surprised when he saw Nate. He asked me"Who is this dude with voice of the goat? How much did he pay to perform with Queen and Adam?"

    ReplyDelete
  17. nate is ok a bet flat voice-adam has a solid voive and has an angel voice-

  20. This proud senior citizen stayed up all night waiting for our man Adam; it took so long, but was well worth the wait. Was a fan from the moment I laid eyes on him during Idol; and will be for the rest of my life. Not much of a poster, but I support Adam in every way that I can. He makes me feel like a kid again; and I get so much energy when I see him peform.

Watching last night's performance for the third time. My husband probably thinks I have gone insane. He knows better then to mess with me and my Adam. Smile. Have a great day Glamberts aka Glamhoppers. I guess I will get some sleep sometimes; if I don't fall asleep on my treadmill.

By the way, love LMD; have purchased it, and gifted a few times. Will do more gifting later.

Your post is so nice; you make me tired and I am a Senior in high school

I love Adam Lambert. Adam has
friends of all ages and he loves us all. He has helped me so much, to feel better about myself.

My grandmother loves Adam too. We used to watch Idol together. She would always tell me to call back in the room when Adam was on. Bye,
    have a blessed day.

  24. Vocal wise Nate didn't come close to Adam at all. Listened to audio of the concert and no way he did STL any justice. But Nate did a fabulous job of engaging the audience with the song at ease. I give him props to draw the audience into the performance in unisons. Something I would love Adam to master at it. Figuratively inviting the audience from way up on stage.

I watched 30 seconds to Mars on iTunes Festival website and Jared Leto is also an incredible artist to engage the whole audience with each one of his performances and invited bunch of young kids on stage and gave them VIP back stage pass.

For me Adam's voice is out of this world good. STL is my fav. Queenbert performance. Hope there will be Queenbert concerts in US soonish.

  30. I wonder if Ryan will be bigger man in the future and start including Adam in activities such as this on his own merits; and start giving him airplay.

I can't believe some of the people that he has picked over Adam thoughout the years.

Of course Ryan will try to take credit for Adam being on there. Some peeps say he already has.

Thank God for Brian and Roger, they are such good friends and mentors to Adam. Because of them, Adam was given the opportunity to show more of his greatness to a whole new world of people; along with one of the greatest bands of our time "Queen."

I think Adam picked up more than a fan or two last night. He was fantastic, love him so much.

  35. In some queen's concerts last year, Adam had the audiences just singing away. One concert he had them follow him and repeat what he said then he went real high in his vocal and the audience started laughing like mouthing "no way can we do that, you just lost us" it was so funny.

He refrained from that last night, except for "we are the champions" time was too short; not a full concert. He presented himself just perfecty.

  57. I think Nate Ruess, Lead singer to the Fun really admires Adam; Adam makes other singers who perform with him even better in my opinion. He probably viewed a lot of Adam, Queen performances before performing with them. When you are performing with great talent; you really try and up your game.

He is good anyway, just so how they seemed to enjoy performing together. Sort of an admiration society.

Don't no if it is true, but saw a post somewhere today, that Adam wanted Nate to join them; I don't know if Queen asked Adam who he would want or not? Just what I read.

    Does anyone know? Just curious.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Did anyone else notice a lot of lipsinging, or was it just my computer screen. Loved Elton John's set. Nate was lucky, his group got a lot of air time. Katy Perry got a lot of air time, and so did Chris Brown; thought his would never end. I guess every fan wanted their person to stay on as long as possible. I guess I am selfish, but It seemed like Adam and Queen was over before it started.

Guess I will never be satisfied with the time Adam gets; he could sing all day and still probably not be enough for me. Thank God for youtube. I am just thankful for any time he is given, as long as he is included. Hope this performance leads to a lot more inclusion for him at this big award shows, when he gets his new music out. Until then he can be a presenter. Also, be on talk shows representing Glee.

  70. Imho, someone had enough power to pull some strings to give Nate that incredible opportunity to share Queen + Adam stage time. I would hate to think money was ever involved, but maybe a big businessman who is a relative of FUN. There is always so much under the table stuff that goes on in the powerhouse world, political situations included. As magnanamous as is our Adam, I will never believe it was Adam's request that Nate share his Queen time-not when Adam knew in his heart that this performance had a tremendous amout of power riding on the outcome. Adam is such a gentleman that he would never never have pulled a diva and refused to share when he learned about Nate's number. I remember Adam so gracefully shared some stage time with some guy during the Kiev concert last year. Well, it is all running water under the bridge at this time in music history, BUT, I will bet you one thing for sure-no one went home and went to bed dreaming of Nate singing "Someone To Love", but a lot of gals (and guys) probably fell into the arms of metamorpaphis with the illusion of Adam's voice and arms wrapped around them, with only Adam voice in their mind's eye. I remember last year when I saw Marc Matel perform Queen's songs, I said to friends, "Yes, he sounds like Freddie, but I could never imagine dreaming of his voice and stage sexiness or lack thereof. In fact, I threw away my ticket stub when I got home, but my ticket stub from last night will be framed this week and placed along side other ticket stubs and autographs from previous Adam shows. Adam F***ing Lambert Rules!

  79. TY to the poster who recommended TunnelBear so I could watch Queen and Adam on live stream here in Canada.

This performance felt very different to me........I feel that Queen really focused on Adam and allowed him to show his brilliant vocals by the songs they chose for this event. I got extremely emotional during WWTLF and Brian also looked like Adam's performance of this song touched him deeply.....I believe this song is one of his compositions.
This was not Queen + Adam Lambert but more Adam Lambert with Queen. I loved the hugs at the end and also the exit......where Adam, Roger and Brian exit stage left and the supporting musians exit stage right.

Now back to watching the whole set one more time.

ADAM looked & sounded like a billion dollars ... so suave, classy & those out-of-this world Vocals!!! It felt like I was there it seemed so real ... ADAM is THE BEST artist for any other artist to sing with ... he makes them all give it all they've got. I thought 'Fat Bottom Girls' was really good ... ADAM & Nate seemed to compliment each other ... IMO. 'WWTLF' brought me to tears ... it was soooo beautifully done by our man ... I HATED seeing the concert end. I could have gone on listening FOREVER!! Now I'm waiting eagerly for Glee season 5/4th episode on which ... I believe ... ADAM will sing APPLAUSE ... I know he'll steal the show AGAIN!! Can't wait!! 84. There he (Adam) stood -- without the gloves or shiny stuff or fingernail polish or excess make up -- Simply THE VOICE embodied in a 6'4" image of long, lean perfectly tailored, no frills, black sophisticated, mesmerizing, sensual stage presence. Simply THE BEST! And the Love and respect between he and Brian (and Rodger) are palpable...which makes the music even more beautiful. I am so happy...and personally inspired to always be my best and honest to who I really am. Those two qualities are always apparent in Adam's work and they rub off on people...at least they do for me. What a wonderful evening. I have already watched it 3 times. I didn't mind their sharing this "performance lesson" with those "Fun" fellows. It was very generous of them and I am sure it will ultimately kick those talented youngsters to a new level of excellence for us to enjoy. I thought they did a good job. But it takes a LOT of experience to reach the level of QUEEN/Adam (and, of course, the great and creative MUSE).

I agree with your thoughts -- especially that this show was different from their others; that they seemed to be featuring Adam. It did seem to be Adam's platform. I recall that Brian commented (in my words) that Adam was one of those great performers that the industry was not giving proper recognition to. He named some of the others who became famous in spite of being ignored by the industry but I forgot the names. I got the feeling that, in this performance, they didn't want the industry to have even ONE reason for not giving Adam his dues as one of the greats. One sure thing is that the other singers and performers certainly recognize Adam's greatness. I often wonder if the industry has been determined to try to "pull Adam in line" after his getting "too independently creative" (sexually explicit) when they (AMA) gave him the opportunity to close the AMA awards several years ago. I cannot think of another reason his talent has not been acknowledged with more awards. Anyway, I don't think the industry can ignore His Greatness any longer -- partly due to QUEEN and NILE. They are so savvy and they LOVE Adam.
    Beverly

    ReplyDelete
  88. LOL at the "industry" reigning in any performer. His talent hasn't been more acknowledged because he doesn't have a huge library yet or the visibility of some other performers. Last night, sharing the stage with all the other acts and fun. gave him more of that visibility. It will all come in good time.

    ReplyDelete
  89. @ GMT and @ Beverly......JAK here.
I too had that feeling about the performance. At first I thought Brian seemed a little subdued and wondered if his knee was bothering him. Then as I watched him beaming at Adam I got the feeling that he was deferring to him....sort of like...."go on boy, this is your country, let 'em see you shine."

    BTW .....GMT
Brian did write WWTLF....it was used in the first Highlander film soundtrack.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Trespassing is a very good album and Adam should have had a number of hit singles from it........but IMO.....RCA screwed it up by releasing BTIKM and NCOE's as the first two singles. I think things would have been different if either Cockoo and Trespassing were the first tracks to be released.

My wish list includes.......success on Glee, few more QAL concerts in the US and Canada, more collaborations and A3 to be a break through album.

  91. I bet if Adam and Queen decided to stay in Vegas for a while and put on some shows, there would be a demand for tickets. After last night's performance and the terrific reviews, everyone can finally see that he is the best vocal talent in music today. Adam sounded spectacular, looked very stylish and sexy and walked that stage with such confidence. I will watch the video of this performance over and over because it was truly something special.
