Adam seems to be digging into some deep stuff with his new music, and it sure appears to be anything but bubblegum pop. I think it's a very good thing. Whenever Adam gets real, audiences respond. And by keeping the vibe more consistent throughout the album, he may give broader audiences a better chance to really "get him". I just hope for my own sanity (haha) that the soft spot in my heart for Adam won't have to suffer too much once all of the lyrics get revealed on April 21st. I better start practicing my happy whistling now :)
I believe that is one of the lines that was "leaked", so to speak, the other day, so perhaps the rest of those lines were accurate as well. Doesn't matter one way or the other, 4/21 is oh so close at this point. :)
I hear that S. Fox deleted the lyrics that he posted. So maybe they are not the same as Adam's. The 20th is going to be nerve wracking waiting for 12:01 AM the 21st.
At this point it really does not matter what someone might have done to rain on Adam's parade, whether intentionally or unintentionally; don't remember what they might have leaked and don't care. Not mentioning the other person's name about now would really be nice.
Adam's cd is coming out called GhostTown, on the 21st. Pretty sure the cowriters with Adam can then bask in Adam's glory!
What Adam is tweeting is the only thing I care to remember and rave about.
When Adam Lambert posts anything, it's always like the first time for me.
Love it! The 21st can't get here soon enough for me!
Wish I had an extra million dollars from some lotto that I could have won if I had been so lucky, I would purchase every cd of GhostTown that I could get my hands on! Since I don't play; no possibility of that happening.
As soon as possible though, I will start purchasing and gifting as many as I can afford!
just can't wait to take Adam to the top of the charts!!
He is getting plenty of publicity on the internet, I hope he gets some on TV news too. Probably not until it is released. Hurry up 21 st. This is like the ninth month of a pregnancy, waiting for the baby to be born.
@10:32, I think Sterling Fox posted an explanation yesterday a few threads back. It sounds like it wasn't unusual for him to post lyrics of his songs, and he had done that quite a while back (maybe a year ago?) and actually forgot they were still sitting out there. Anyway, it sounds like there was unintentional drama created. He was excited for the release of the song with Adam as the singer so it's all good! And quite honestly, if we weren't megafans of Adam, we'd probably have no clue there was a "leak", so it's all good. Onward and upward!!
@April 9 11:05 AM Thank you for sharing your opinion, and your own personal point of view. I bet many participants here would agree with you. As for me, I actually will enjoy the time mulling over the lyrics that were screen capped and such all over the internet the other day now that I have a hint that they might be correct. (Nothing ever disappears from the internet, good or bad, this is the way it is). I have not, and will not, post the lyrics here, and haven't mentioned the source from where they came, but a fellow fan emailed them to me privately, and with Adam's tweet today, corroborating the one line, I am taking them all a bit more seriously, and am enjoying thinking about them and mulling them over in my personal time.
Well, folks .... As usual when I read your posts, I experience a sort of awe at how articulately and intelligently you guys - my fellow Adam fans - communicate your thoughts (which are many times my own as well!). Even with this post and thread... You all have shared what so many of us feel and think about these recent events and about Adam himself in such thought-provoking and comprehensive ways. Thank you for your posts and contributions! I so enjoy reading them and taking in your individual perspectives. :)
I also want to say ... I just adore how Adam is teasing us bit by bit.... Keeping us hungry; yet, satisfying our desire to sample the menu until the full course is served....!
These days... And more than ever before... I feel a tremendous and particular admiration for him. No matter what happens with GT/TOH - how successful it is declared or not... Regardless of where Adam's life and career takes him from here ... He is a already a continued and on-going winner in my book and a genuine, extraordinary success. (And I know I'm not alone in this - so many of you feel the same way!).
And as for this tantalizing little striptease act he's doing with his new lyrics ;-D..... -- Adam is just plain Adorable.
OT: Speaking of Sold Out; saw over on ATOP where Queen+ADAM LAMBERT SOLD OUT in Rock In Rio, in just 3 hours!!
Rihanna is the only other sold out Rio show at this time; tickets still remain for all other concert Entertainers! Great news for Adam, Brian and Roger and the rest of the Band!!!!
..... And JAK, I completely understand where you're coming from with wanting to hear it when it comes out. That's been my typical default with music. I can so relate!
And so with that, I suppose I've just resigned myself to Adam's teasing style through the years .... And for me it helps me enjoy the ride. :))))
@1:04 My understanding is this is a festival, so it is an all day pass for all concerts. They always sell out in a few hours. The one in Vegas is totally different and still has tickets for the individual concerts.
I am not @1:04, but I think that maybe this is for the individual shows. The poster said that it was a tweet from the Concert people in Rio. I also saw that it was sold on individual nights and it was specifically said that Queen and Adam's night was sold out; and also Rihanna's night.
They said at that time that no other concert night's had sold out. I guess you have to pay for the tickets for the particular shows you wish to attend on a particular night.
Pretty sure all these questions will be answered in time. But, I also think that this is very good news for Queen and Adam regardless!
The feeling of pure positive, loving & joyous anticipation is what I miss.
The new record from your favorite artist coming up soon and you just had to wait...
Agreement and contracts where honoured, no leaks or revealing it all by 'outsiders' or 'professional spoil sports' (hackers etc).
Teasers are fine as long as they come from the original source.... teasers are sexy...teasers are foreplay....leading to a climax... or not... but everything happens by the rightful owners of the roll out plan.
Social media, people digging everything up in advance and rushing to compete to be the first to post it somewhere... makes all this impossible. The constant possibility of somebody leaking it all prematurely...stealing the thunder from the performers (and their mgt & org)...Virtually no press releases and big announcements come as total news or surprises, just not possible anymore....
Hmmmm, another interesting lyric, I assume.
ReplyDeleteOk then... Very very excited to hear him sing this song, better still watch him so g this song.

Just remember there are rules as to how many CDs you can buy at a time and have them officially count for the chart.

I personally prefer not to have a new song fed to me in tiny bits, leaks, teases, etc. I want to be surprised when I hear a song in its entirety.

ReplyDelete:-))))
Getting so frustrated. Need this song NOW!!!

ReplyDeleteMe too. I like to hear the whole song, not snippets, teasers, lyrics and the like.
