Well, how about that? I am happy for our SA Glamberts.
ReplyDeletemore time wasted while he should be promoting his own music
ReplyDeleteHope it's a very short tour so Adam can focus on his music.
ReplyDeleteSome info if you are going to Brazil, you need not only your passport but you need a visa too.
ReplyDeleteThis is if you are traveling from the US, I don't know about other countries.
To get a visa takes time, so you should apply soon, you have to apply in person or get a visa agent at the cost of $35. I am told this is the easier route, and worth the extra expense.
You savvy people should be able to find out how to apply for the visa. Start with GOOGLE. I hope this helps anyone planning on making the trip to S. America. There are going to be more venues added. Best wishes to all of you who can make this trip, wish it was me.

ReplyDeleteNo time is wasted being the front man for one of the most iconic rock bands in the world. I am sure Adam is absolutely thrilled to be honored to be included in this trip. It's been 30 years since Queen was last down there, and Adam's first time.
So glad we will have more concerts to watch! Going through withdrawal.
ReplyDeleteAlao, can't wait until the 21st for "Ghost Town"!
So happy for all the South American Glamberts!
ReplyDeleteU.S. State Department gives you guidelines how to obtain visa from Brazilian embassy officials near you:

This is awesome!!! I too am going through QAL withdrawal. It would be worse if I didn't still watch them on YouTube frequently. Lol
ReplyDeleteAt the bottom of the write - up on Brian May.xom, I noticed it says more SA dates are expected to be added!

.com. Darn spell check!
ReplyDeleteThe iron is hot! Better go for it, Adam!!! Win/win. I'm so happy for the South American fans :)
ReplyDeleteSuch posts, a bit whining, a lot falsely worried that Adam won't have time to promote his music keep on amusing me.Oh, God, to be "forced" to play with Queen at the greatest/most important festival, in front of hundreds of thousands of people, part of a dream line-up, what a horror!!!
ReplyDeleteAdam is a free spirit, he will never do/play what/when he doesn't want to, this info was surely preceded by talks in 3 and he agreed. Why? It's elementary, because HE CAN!
My only regret, after 30 years, I so wished my 2 favorite bands ,Queen and Iron Maiden, could have played on the same stage , again, with God's help, next year.
Pan, I'm 8:32. My comment was not falsely worded. I do want his solo work to be successful and I don't want Queen to interfere with it. I'm not a huge fan of Queen but I am of Adam's current solo pop career. Nothing wrong with me prefering Adam's music and nothing wrong with saying I don't want Queen to interfere with it.
ReplyDeleteWhat is going on here lately where people can't express their honest opinion without being put down and called a troll?
Anne Marie, where do I apply in person and what is the average processing time? Is there a fee for the visa? What do I need to provide to apply for the visa? Just my passport?

ReplyDeleteMaybe if you stop to think about the big picture for a second you need not worry. Nor insult Queen guys of interfering with anything. State your differing opinion, but not your business to make such entitled false calls (nor to irritate and alienate Adam's new and old Queen loving fans!)
Trust Adam & his management and the Queen & their management to know what they are doing and how to take care of things.
The bigger and better the LIVE introduction of Adam to South America, the more success for his solo career there, too!
YAY for Adam finally getting to greet the fans in South America!!!
YAY for QAL in South America, the 3rd leg of the Once in A Lifetime Tour!
HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY!!!!!
Truly happy to hear this great news for South America! Had a feeling this might be coming, and hope there are a few more cities that will get the tour such as Santiago, Lima, Quito, Bogota and Caracas. And, yes, although it would be back up in North America, Mexico deserves some shows too. Anyway, this is all GOOD news and will only strengthen Adam's presence throughout the world. Once he wows South America, they'll be looking for Adam's solo material too! :)
ReplyDelete@1:56 am
ReplyDeleteYou don't want Queen interfering with Adam's solo career??? Joke, as if!!! On the contrary, Adam is BENEFITING from touring with Queen. It is a HUGE BONUS to his solo career. You don't have to like Queen but Adam has said he's honored and humbled to be performing with one of the greatest bands in the world ever.
Not only will it be beneficial to ADAM to expand his SA fan base but also ADAM's NEW album can be offered for sale before the concerts thus promoting his solo career to those to whom ADAM is unknown(possibility) ... I'm sure ADAM's management has considered this already. PLUS QAL will ride the wave of 'happy/happy' ... 'win/win once more!!

Queen has given Adam enormous cred. Queen will not be performing for decades and decades more. Every concert with Queen is money in the bank for Adam, both literally and figuratively. It will be a lasting achievement in Adam's legacy. Every new QAL fan is more likely to buy Adam's own new music. He can do both. His management is also part of making this all work to his best advantage. It's an honor and a privilege to front for Queen. Not something to be taken lightly, for sure. Better to have a full plate of gigs, singles, albums, etc., than not enough. GO ADAM!
ReplyDeleteWhy can't we just let people have their opinion without berating them?
ReplyDeleteThere is no "we" here.
ReplyDeleteSome "people" could start acting like loyal supporting fans, think a little what they say and how they say "their opinions". Or is their mission just to cause mayhem and alienate "other people" from this site? Thinking of new visitors and new fans especially. Quite often "some people's opinions" presented here give this site a bad reputation. Nothing adamazing or admirable on that!
Adam needs all the support, visibility, promotion, publicity possible, lots of new fans and money in order to be able to tour solo. QAL has played and plays a big part in all of this happening. Respect!
You can still be a supportive fan, acknowledge the opportunity QAL brought but still not be fond of Queen or QAL. It's not my type of music. I know there is nothing I can do about Adam's continued work with them. I really want to hear Adam's new music and see his career soar with that. It's Adam singing his own music, contemporary music, that I am a fan of. But I feel I can't say this because I will get beat up like all the other people who have dared to say they don't like QAL.
ReplyDeleteThis is greatly helping Adam's financial and career future. WIN, WIN, WIN!!!! Good guys do win sometimes!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat's not to like about Queen + Adam Lambert? Adam needs a band to sing, and there's none better. I assume all of us will have the opportunity to watch the South American concerts as we have all their recent ones, and I'm so excited.

ReplyDeleteCan I ask you (in a kind manner) why don't you just stick to those threads that are to your liking? Why do you have to post on this thread, which is about QAL, if you don't like this act?
There are plenty of threads regarding Adam's new music plus other things possibly more to your liking. I stay out of those threads that are of no interest to me or if there's a subject I don't like. Why would I go and spoil other fans' enthusiasm about something that is meaningless to me? This way there would perhaps be less harsh words written here.
Also if you absolutely want to express your opinion of not liking or disagreeing with the subject of the thread, it is very easy (for a grown up person) to write it in a friendly, polite and non-invested manner, since the subject is of no interest to you.
Hope I expressed myself in a way that does not aggravate you or anyone. Cheers!
