The Daily Star review of Adam Lambert Ghost Town!

  1. I haven't heard Madonna's GT but a few people on here thought it was good and that the mv was good too.

  2. Oh my the Madonna shade, yikes! Well, Adam didn't write that, so yay on the compliment! I personally don't like Madge's Ghost Town, and I think her MV for it doesn't quite work, but that's just my opinion. I do love some of the other tracks on her new album... but I think our guys' GT will not suffer at all by comparison! #ThinkingPostive

  3. "Who needs Brian May and Roger Taylor when you got songs like this?"

Very gutsy. I'm sure it's not meant to diss the veteran rockers as it is much more a flattering statement that Adam can stand on his own as a solo artist and create his own musical identity.

  4. Gabi, You said it exactly right. Adam and Queen is like a perfect hand in a perfect glove, BUT Adam has a whole other side of himself to show us in his own music. And it looks like that music is going to explode with a BANG!

  5. OT: Regarding remarks above: Heard that Madonna worked very hard to get the lead actor from the series "Empire" for her love interest on her mv, he finally agreed after several attempts. Maybe his series had not gone on break at the time; they did not say! Since the show is so popular and Terrance Howard is so poplar; the video got many, many more hits, than without him, it was said; so her mission was accomplished. Good for her, if that is what she felt it took to get young and different cultures of people on board! It seemed to work in video views. But, it was said at the time that the record itself was not doing too well in the charts. But, it may be doing better now.

  6. I loved the write up; the part about Brian and Roger could have been completely left out; quite snarky. Adam would hate that part!

  7. Yes, could have been worded differently. I don't think they meant any harm either. And, no Adam would not like that part!

  8. We must be careful with the names. Now is this right:
Is Adam's Ghost Town, or GhostTown?

Is Madonna's Ghost town, or Ghosttown?

Seen it written so many ways, please help?

  9. I wish these had come out at different times. I hope there is no mix ups along the way; awards, etc. Guess I should not worry!

  10. Adam's upcoming single is "Ghost Town"..

On Twitter, you may see it hash tagged as #GhostTown always with both words capitalized..

Madonna's song is one word.. "Ghosttown" and on Twitter it is hash tagged as #Ghosttown or #ghosttown

Unfortunate timing but it should become very clear the the similarities end with the names..

  11. I think the confusion with Madonna's "Ghosttown" (one word) could be quite fortunate for Adam when it comes to online streaming searches. Lots of music listeners might accidentally stumble upon Adam's "Ghost Town" and love it. Not sure if this was just an accident...

  14. Uncalled for remark about Brian and Roger who are two of the finest songwriters and musicians in the world. Otherwise, it's an upbeat review.
