Big Competition for Adam Lambert this November?
Filed Under (album news ) by Admin on Friday, August 21, 2009

As we all know, Adam Lambert is releasing his debut album this November but when you look at the schedule for that month, it is CRAZY and extremely competitive!
The following information and release dates were obtained from Idol Forums. It's very interesting.
November 3: Carrie Underwood
November 10: Bon Jovi, Three 6 Mafia, Robbie Williams
November 17: Kris Allen, Avril Lavigne, John Mayer
November 24:Sade, Little Wayne
unscheduled November: Adam Lambert, Leona Lewis, Norah Jones, Allison Iraheta, Craig David
Bon Jovi's last album debuted at #1 with 292,000 copies
Three 6 Mafia debuted at #5
Carrie Underwood - #1 with 527,000 copies
Avril Lavigne - #1 with 289,000
Lil Wayne #1 423,000
John Mayer at #2 with 300,000 copies
Leona Lewis debuted in the US with 205 000
David Cook debuted at #3 with 279,000 copies
David A debuted at #2 with 183,000 copies
David Cook released his album on November 18, 2008
David A. released his album on November 11, 2008
Let's hope that Adam will release his album on the same week as Bon Jovi because it will be less competitive and Adam may have a bigger chance of debuting at #1. I really hope he is not up against Carrie Underwood or Lil Wayne because these two have big first week sales. But I actually think Adam will have a big first week sales with the media hype around him the past few months regarding his album.
What do you guys think is the BEST week to release Adam's album?

Adam Lambert a good endorser?
Filed Under (random ) by Admin on Wednesday, August 19, 2009
Posted at : Wednesday, August 19, 2009

Lyndsey Parker wrote an article about Adam Lambert and his amazing ability to attract people to whatever he is talking about. Adam is basically like Oprah and her ability to be an endorser. For example, in Adam's recent tweets, he tweeted "My friend Cassidy just shot this great video". And the effects starting to occur with the video having more than 31,000 views in less than a day. Twitter had an ongoing discussion about the video and whether Adam was in the video himself (But personally I don't think Adam was in it because he doesn't have the time considering he is touring the whole country with the American Idol tour).
That being said, I think Adam could be a great endorsement for ANYTHING. I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if companies start asking him to promote their products. In fact, I bet even domains yahoo, college loan consolidation, car insurance quotes, mesothelioma and all the big internet businesses could ask Adam to talk about them and they'll gain some revenue.
The point is, Adam Lambert could actually get paid to talk about any product from now on. He's not a normal person now.
In fact, Abercombie or American Eagle should ask Adam to model for them! I mean, look at that picture!!!

Adam Lambert's American Idol album is still charting on ITUNES!

After such a long time Adam Lambert's American Idol album is still charting on ITUNES! It is currently at #44 on the top 100 pop albums in the United States. This kind of longevity is very good. This and the fact that the Rolling Stone cover selling and the fact that Adam's recommended charity program is well over thousands of dollars is a great indication that people are willing to spend a lot of money on Adam and his merchandise! Let's hope this translate to big first week sales for his debut album. I can easily see Adam selling over 500,000 or more on the first week.
100 Most Technically Skilled Rock Vocalists

I have come across this forum where people who know a lot about music ranks the top rock vocalists ever and I am surprised to see that non-Adam Lambert fans are impressed with Adam's voice. Keep in mind that people in this forum are mostly NOT Adam fans. They are only rating his voice and I am shocked (of course in a good way) that he is ranked higher than Freddie Mercury. I hope Adam reads this LINK. These people are experts and may I add that they did a great job in compiling this list because I agree with it 100%.
Vocalists are rated on their Technical Skill based on their prime ability by the following criteria.
Tier 1: Breath support, register switching, register blending, pitch, vocal runs, consistency throughout registers, volume control, vibrato control, sustain, and diction.
Tier 2: Projection, Resonance, Range, and Versatility.
For criteria breakdowns, each criterion from either tier is worth equal points. Influence and impact have no bearing on a singer's placement.

Cook comments on Lambert, Allen
by pinella
No need to ask David Cook who received the loudest applause at the Aug. 7, 2009 American Idol Tour stop in Atlantic City. He heard the ovation for this year’s runnerup Adam Lambert compared to that given to winner Kris Allen.
“Yes, but last year I always felt like Archie (season 7 runnerup David Archuleta) got more response on the Idol Tour than I did,” Cook told IdolChatter in a phone interview last week.
“I did get to watch the show (on TV) this season. I thought there was a great amount of talent on it. And on the American Idol Tour I thought everyone was representing the show very well. I feel like this Tour is a good one.”
It wasn’t on the Tour, but on an Aug. 7, 2009 segment of Good Morning America that Cook got to perform in NYC’s Central Park with Lambert and Allen.
“It was a blast and kudos to both of them,” Cook said. “We’re all going about a million miles an hour right now and they really stepped up that day and sang the song (“Sweet Little Lies”) that the band and I have been doing for for awhile.
“In a big-brotherly sort of way I was proud of both of them … although I think Adam is actually older than I am,” Cook added laughing.
“I think they both are gonna be fine, I really do. Kris seems to have a confidence of self which can only help.
“Both Adam and Kris will do fine with a record from here on out.”
So, did Cook offer them any advice?
“No, not really and I don’t know that I would have any advice to give them other than just appreciate and enjoy what comes in front of you.”

WHAT HAPPENS BEFORE THE BIG BANG? My assumption of Adam Lambert's schedule before the album drops!
Filed Under (random ) by Admin on Sunday, August 16, 2009
Posted at : Sunday, August 16, 2009
This Adam Lambert schedule is just my own guesses so don't take it as the true schedule!
Okay, so what happens before the big bang? After tonight's show, we have exactly 20 more shows left till the end of the American Idol tour. Here is the remaining dates:
August 17 Charlotte, NC Time Warner Cable Arena
August 18 Duluth, GA Arena at Gwinnett Center
August 20 Sunrise, FL BankAtlantic Center
August 21 Tampa, FL St Pete Times Forum
August 24 Houston, TX Toyota Center
August 25 Dallas, TX American Airlines Center
August 26 Bossier City, LA CenturyTel Center
August 28 Oklahoma City, OK Ford Center
August 29 Kansas City, MO Sprint Center
August 30 Kansas City, MO Sprint Center
August 31 Minneapolis, MN Target Center
September 2 Green Bay, WI Resch Center
September 3 Grand Rapids, MI Van Andel Arena
September 4 Cleveland, OH Wolstein Center
September 6 Bridgeport, CT Arena at Harbor Yard
September 7 Providence, RI Dunkin Donuts Center
September 8 Wilkes Barre, PA Wachovia Arena
September 10 Ft. Wayne, IN Allen County Memorial Coliseum
September 11 Evansville, IN Roberts Stadium
September 13 Tulsa, OK BOK Center
After the tour, Adam says that he will spend a month working on his album. He will most likely be finishing the finalizing part of the recording process and pick the best songs for the album. But keep in mind that fans will not have be bored out of their minds while he records his album because there's so many exciting things to anticipate.
For example, in September : The main focus will be on "Mad World" which is the theme song for the ABC new series "Flash Forward". If you haven't heard of the drama series, watch the trailer here.
Early October: I assume by now, the album would be almost done and the first single will be decided. So the first single is released early October and we'll see Adam's first ever music video! It'll be something really sexy and fun like he promised. Most likely it'll be from RedOne's sessions and it'll be something we could dance to.
Early November: We're beginning to start seeing a lot of things! The album is really really close by! Before the end of the first week of November, we'll surely be hearing ANOTHER ONE of Adam's new songs which is one of the songs to the new apocalyptic film "2012" directed by Roland Emmerich, who has said that he really loved Adam's song and is considering putting it after the movie ends! Let's hope he does do it because it'll be very exciting to hear Adam's song immediately after the movie ends (I'm planning on going to see the movie). The song will most likely be very dramatic and I think it'll be a power ballad, much like Aerosmith's "I don't want to miss a thing".
Mid November: Adam Lambert's OFFICIAL debut album is released!
So guys, just hang on a little more! A few more months and we'll see an Adam explosion everywhere! :D
