I'm pretty sure they're fixed. This was taken when he was in Canada and I have seen him wear them since. I also agree with the comments that he is so entertaining, loveable and interesting.

Oh, could he BE any cuter!! So much talk about his being flam and glam but he has had those boots, literally for years! You can see them in pictures from cabaret and Citizen Vein years and I bet they cost a month's pay ... back when money was dime to dime!! How precious that he wears and wears them, travels with them, repairs them - must be like old friends! I have an old pair of Nike's that I love like that but not nearly as cute!! Thanks for this short, sweet vid. A line from L. Gaga comes back to me again as it does so often when smiling about Adam - "I...will not...accept any less...than someone just as real, as fabulous!"
