Here's the video from Entertainment Tonight!

Check out our behind-the-scenes look at "American Idol" alum Adam Lambert making his brand-new music video!

Adam puts in a hard day's work -- four costume changes included -- shooting his video for "If I Had You," the third single off his top-selling album, For Your Entertainment from RCA Records/19 Recordings.

"The theme of this video today is, quite basically, no matter how much money you posses or material things you accrue in life, if you don't have a connection and love, it's worthless," Adam says.

The 28-year-old pulls out all the stops for his knock-out new video, rocking black eyeliner, black nail polish, and some seriously high platform boots.

"We're in full hi-ho Silver glam… And cracked out on Red Bull!" he laughs. "So it's the beginning of a great party."

Next up for the "American Idol" runner-up? His first headlining tour this summer, "The Glam Nation Tour."

Absolutely "Adamazing" and so much fun...a big party with all of his friends invited!!
And not naked and overtly sexual like half of the women doing videos now...one trying to outdo the other and really setting a bad example for young people I think!
Great job Adam..as always!!

Counting the minutes to this MV. . . btw, does anyone know what's going on with idol forums today? I'm having trouble getting in. :(

Idolforums must be down right now. I can't get on either.

Does anyone know WHEN the music video comes out? Has a premiere date even been set?

Can't wait to see this video. It looks like it will be fabulous. The theme of love and connection to one another should be important in today's world and Adam is doing his part to spread the word. As always, he looks great: the hair, the makeup, the outfit, and above all the voice. The interview shows how articulate, intelligent and charming he is. Put all the elements together and you have one dynamic, sexy, glam rock god!

I'm glad this longer clip from ET is available on their site and YT cause when it airs on the show tonight, it'll be cut down to probably 1:30 with more host voice overs than Adam speaking.

Just look at previous Behind the Scenes reports they've done for his video shoots.

Sooo looking forward to this.

Anon 9:57 - Our radio station said the same thing when WWFM was released. At first, they said they would 'never' play anything from Adam. We all know why. Then when it broke Top 40 in larger markets, they reluctantly added it to their play list. They still play it sparingly despite it's success in larger markets and around the world. I suppose they will do the same thing with IIHY. All we can all do is be persistant. No one seems to give a rat's patoote about anyone's personal life but Adam's and only because he pulls no punches and makes no apologies. I suppose you have to at least pretend to be ashamed of yourself to make people happy. Those same people didn't count on Adam's not giving a crap about their opinions. Sometimes I really wish I didn't live in such a backassward part of the world. The weather is nice though.

You're not alone 10:50 Alabama: Love, joy and acceptance of the things that make us beautiful individuals seems to always become a struggle in certain belts of this country. Even in states that we think are more progressive, there can be ugly minds who relish their weird little sources of power like not playing a song on the radio. Lead on Adam - we are beside you!!

Just watched... how can people not like this guy, I mean, really?? And Just Peachy @ 10:50 - gosh, keep on keepin' on... and I'm so glad I live just outside Boston, MA! And what really kills me - another news story last night about a poltician who HEAVILY ADVOCATED abstinence and such getting caught in a tawdry affair - can't remember the exact state right now, but a bible belter I think... so annoying! We have this great example of positive living right in front us in Lambert and some people can't even realize it. I have no problem with parents of the younger kids, 7 8 9 10 year olds keeping an eye on their consumptionm of Adam Lambert - his entertainment does have an adult sensibility (thank goodness :)) but beyond that, he's a great example of a positive way to live your life. Well anyway, like Lambert so much... so cool to dig someone's music and have a good feeling about the person they seem to be too.

Me again - 12:33 - and just to clarify on the "younger kids" statement - I would say the same of all artists with sexual content! I have an 8 year old who has two Lambert songs only restricted from her ipod and a rather immature 11 year old who used to have one restricted on his, doesn't anymore, but whom I've not let watch the FYE video yet (which I LOVE btw)... Almost 12 'though, I probably will next time the kid asks me. Otherwise, my whole family totally rocks out to Lambert's music and I constantly talk about how brave Adam is etc etc and all that... to the point where they say "we get it Mom, we get it..." :). But in this world of increasing bullying, I think Lambert is such a great example (notice I haven't used the word role model :)) as to how to be true to yourself, and one of my children especially benefits from it greatly I feel. Anyway, sorry, blah blah blah... just wanted to clarify. Soooo much uber sexual content in artists music and performances nowadays, I just wanted to clarify that I have no problem with parents of the really young tween set keeping an eye on what their kids consume pop culture wise across the board - but other than that, like i said originally about Lambert and this ET clip - how can anyone not like this guy!!!!

Anonymous said...

Okay, I'm batting 0 for 2 - didn't use the word "role model" only because LAMBERT is hesitant about that! LOL. I think he is an accidental role model, in the best possible way, but he seems reluctant about that so I use the word "example" a lot :).

I don't understand why they will only play IIHY if it's a billboard top 40 song? To become a top 40 song it needs radioplay!( Right?)We as a fan can buy the song on i tunes, but to become a big hit other people who are not a fan need to hear the song before they can buy it, so i think that you must be persistence, maybe they will eventually start playing the song. I will do my part and request it here in the Netherlands. I hope the song will be just a big hit as WWFM, and that the dutch radiostations also will play this song. Hollandfan

Adam Lambert = Creative Explosion!!!!!

It seems to me just my thoughts??? I'm from Zealand now living in Australia looks like some American radio stations just don't want to play Adam's music I believe by all accounts from an outsider looking in that Kris (don't get me wrong I like Kris) gets more air time because he is seen as the clean cut next door all American boy.

What's the problem with DJs? They play Gaga's,Christina's and Britney's (ad naseum sometimes). And there's usually sexual content in their lyrics! When are they going to get with it and grow up!!

Hey fans - if anyone is checking back in this thread because of the "Entertainment Tonight" involvement - just wanted especially the non-USA fans to know that I just watched the "ET" story live East Coast USA and at the risk of sounding goofy - it was THRILLING. There was a teaser near the beginning of the broadcast - and then the actual story, deemed an "exclusive" was quite substantial itself! I'm sure 24/7 will upload it. Yeah, it was a pretty beefy little segment considering how the format of these shows work! ET obviously has a relationship with Lambert harkening back to AL's covering the Grammy red carpet for them, which they mentioned. I've been a little disgusted with "E" not coverning AL much...but at least AL has this relationship with "ET". Anyway, another cool thing is that the story was VERY well placed within the 1/2 hour formatted program being aired at just a little before 1/2 way through - great placement, thought that was notable. Also, at the end of the segment, Samantha Harris mentioned the Glam Nation Tour being just about sold out and so you should hurry and get your tix :). Yay. Well, again, I'm sure 24/7 will get it on here... but just thought your Glamfans might enjoy the POV of someone who just watched it realtime...was really exciting :). Back to life now!!

To anon 12.44, I have an 8 and 10 year old that have watch the FYE video many times. Don't have a problem with it, nor do I restrict their listening, the FYE CD is on in the car constantly. They don't get the subtle meaning of the song, and whilst the video is great,I love it, its pretty tame compared to a lot out there at the moment, and at least everyone is fully dressed! However, I do not want them watching the Gaga Telephone video, listening to Rudeboy, and several Lily Allen songs get skipped when playing in the car.
Really looking forward to this video.
WWFM and FYE videos get played a lot on MTV hits in Asia.

Hmmm, I was quite enjoying those serious crotch-thrusts he was doing in his white jeans w/his silver glitter platform boots...DAMN!!!

Adam also looked absolutely stunning when he was seated and being interviewed. What a fresh, fierce and beautiful man. I'll have sweet dreams tonight.
