From the official fan club site:
We just got word on some exciting news!
Starting with today's on-sales, we're increasing the number of VIP's offered per show date to 50.
This gives more of you the opportunity to meet Adam. It also creates additional spots for those who missed out on the VIP's that sold out so quickly the first time around.
We understand this was not offered on all shows, and we apologize. However, we were only given this opportunity because you guys made the VIP experience so great and successful so far. So thank you very much!
If you want to get in on the VIP Experience but don't have a membership yet, click here to get one.

It's interesting that many in Europe such as Paris and Milano are not immediately selling out. I'm sure they will as it gets closer to show time, but the US ones sold out immediately. Isn't this Neil's baby? I don't know, the whole idea of paid M&Gs is great, but it also seems a bit greedy. I know Adam appreciates his fans, but does he really want to spend 1-2 mintues including picture and autograph (and that's all there is) with 50 people before each show. Wouldn't/Shouldn't he be doing something else? Is it all about the money, or does Adam really want to do this? Somehow, I don't think so. I really have mixed feelings about this. What does everyone think?
Does he usually goes out after concert to sign autographs? Or meet those who watched? It would be wonderful if all are given a chance- but- it's hard coz he's so popular now.
Btw Adam, Hope you can meet us after your concert here in manila!
So excited :)
Anon 9:09 PM
I don't think it has to do with money at all. Obviously the demand is there and that's why they're doing it. What's 25 more? Adds up to not much more monitarily, 25 more happy fans instead! :)
Anon 9:09 Dunno. I think it is about the money. If not, why not just keep doing what he was doing meeting people for free. Adam makes appearances at clubs for money, so why not get about 10G for about 90 minutes work. This adds up when you do 4-5 concerts a week!! He still goes out after many concerts to see fans, but I noticed in Singapore the police excorted him out of there. And where I saw him, the police ran everyone out. I love Adam but it seems he is prostituting himself for more money. It's not necessary. All he needs to do is sing for us. JMO
@10:28 At $175.00 for M&G package, 25 people earn team glambert $4,675.00. 50 people make it $8,750.00 per show.
Of course Adam wants to do this. Adam controls almost everything about Adam, remember?!
He loves meeting his fans, if you have been observing almost every shows he comes out to sign.
anon 10:47 That's gross less all other expenses. But if fans are willing to pay it then why is it our worries. They are not forced to pay it. They choose and are willing to pay it. If it makes them happy then I'm happy for everyone concerned.
It's part of business people. To have a "guaranteed" spot to meet Adam personally then you pay to be a VIP! " Pay to Play "
well I attended a meet and there's no overhead except his brother. They use a room or place where he's doing concert. His bro takes the pictures. you get only a few seconds with Adam. He smiles for the pictures and is pleasant but he does not really seem to enjoy. His brother makes you move out really fast so you barely get ot say hello.
Everyone wants to touch Adam, to be in his presense, so people want to meet him if they get a spot and can dish out $175. It is strickly business. Sure Adam knows his fans are important to him. In fact, they make the world go around for him because they buy his CDs and attend his concerts. It is ultimately a business, and Adam has said in interviews that he is aware of the business side of things. I attended numerous concerts but never bothered staying to see him. I enjoy him on stage especially if I have a seat near the stage. Of course, no one sits anyway.
I will be trying for one of those M&G coming up for the Hawaii shows...but I have very little hope of getting one..the others sold out as soon as they became available..literally in about 2 seconds give or take a second! Guess its the principle of the the thing..I met Monte, Tommy, and Isaac last week...Adam is on my "bucket list" (and many more of my lists...) so what the heck...Its also my birthday present to me, the trip to Hawaii, the concerts and maybe the chance talk to Adam for a minute or so..!!! I've had a couple of "close encounters" but no conversation so am going to give it a try (not holding my breath tho!!!) :-) To perhaps put this in some sort of perspective, I've paid more for tickets from the dreaded Stub Hub for one good seat at a concert (twice...) than he is charging for these M&G opportunities. The extra charge for the ticket from Stub Hub goes to the seller and Stub Hub...I would much prefer that Adam get the money than the re-sellers...He is the one that is entertaining me, working his very cute b*** off and paying for the costs of the tour so I don't mind giving him a very nice "tip" for his efforts....and I get to talk to him and get a hug...what's not to love??? Again, all of this is all theoretical at this point...
And I also wanted to add that I am fully aware that we are not going to have a long and meaningful conversation...I have a friend who attended one recently and it was pretty much as @anon 11:35pm described...very quick hello, picture, off you go...but with as many people seeing him at the M&G it would be unrealistic to expect any more than that..but it does give more people that little moment of happiness, however fleeting...Any meeting before or after the concert on an unofficial non-M&G basis is going to be even faster than that...having experienced that in Seattle...wait an hour and a half at the buses, third row back from the barricade, pass the Rolling Stone over heads and arms to Adam, where I could only see his shirt through someones armpit. (I'm "petite"..)..a very brief glance of a smile, and he is gone, moving on down the line...and that's if he comes out to sign...no guarantees...so yep, gonna try...
Paid M & Gs, VIP packages - they are standard procedure for most concerts. Adam was actually late to start these. What's not standard is to come out after and sign autographs. He is amazingly generous and appreciative of his fans. 25 M & Gs were always on the low end compared to most other artists.
Kinda like the paparazzi argument - do stars really owe fans a gawk and paw session as part of every performance? When it happens spontaneously because they are feeling it at some moment, it would mean so much more. But, I don't care how nice the person is or how giving and loving towards fans, they work SO hard, put out so much energy and arranging that we don't see and they get TIRED and stuff. We put out such heartfelt pleas for him to be safe and well - that seems somehow inconsistent with the way people surround the buses and hang out in the airports and rush the limos. I know that 95% of us who do that are sweet and well intentioned but I wonder sometimes if the sessions are cut short and sometimes cancelled and carefully arranged because of security threats and risky situations. We are SO lucky these days to have constant internet coverage, beautiful pictures of him that just leave me breathless and those interviews that he takes so much time with - he is on camera ... smiling, smart, funny, informative, candid .... really, should we ask for anything more?
paid M&Gs are very common among popular singers and I do not begrudge him making $ while he can. Obviously there is the demand and no one is making anyone choose to spend it. Adam has ALOT of mouths to feed- band, dancers, crew, promoters...I wonder what share is even left for him.
So he thinks his overseas fans are only half as exhausting as the US Glamberts. I've noticed how the US fans can be so demanding. No wonder Elvis died young.
Anon 12 am, I too am petite and paid over $200 to be in the fifth row so I could be sure to see him. I guess I would pay the $175 just to see him up close just once and to just be able to say I did since he is going to be the next Elvis and will be untouchable soon. I hope he stays grounded, but am wondering if the price tag on the meet n greets is putting that in doubt. I am willing to give him the benefit of doubt and assume the best, that he is just doing what his management is telling him to do. It may be management that is the greedy one insisting on it and totally taking advantage of Adam. It can't be terribly fun putting on that smile for 50 photos day after day. If he got a chance to talk to his fans for a few minutes, I think he and the fans would get so much more out of it. He wouldn't feel so much like a robot.

It would be interesting to know what Adam's thoughts on the 50 fan club M&G's that's for sure..And that isn't counting the radio station contest winners in each city, and any other personal appearances he might make while there..I suppose on the one hand he likes to meet the fans up close but it is probably pretty much a blur to him these days, which is a little sad for both him and the fans, but as is fame increases, his accessibility will obviously decrease..And the "free" meetings will probably disappear altogether because of security concerns and the simple reason that he needs to be "off" once in awhile..I have a friend who did a M&G in Seattle in July before the fan club ones started, where there were far fewer ones and she had quite a bit more time, where they had a really nice conversation for much longer than what is possible now..she had gone prepared with a question for him, and she said he seemed genuinely interested to talk to her about the topic.. I would guess that he has very mixed feelings about it, but the price of fame is definitely catching up with him, and with us too...I do think that he has a definite "say" in the decision to double the number of fan club M&G's as it is his own fan club and not the RCA website who is offering them..In reality it seems quite difficult to fit in that many "greets" into whatever time they set aside for that but I think they know there are many fans who want to meet him face to face (don't we all!!!), even for a brief moment. I don't know if there is one "right" answer to the M&G dilemma, but I will be happy to meet him even for a moment if given the opportunity... :-) (Not holding my breath....!!!)
Does anyone know what other musical stars charge
for their meet and greets? (give other examples?)
I also find it annoying (greedy?) that you have to
buy the expensive membership first to be eligible.
I can't see how Adam can enjoy this very much with
the set-up like an assembly line.
I would pay the $175 if I knew it was gonna get me into the PIT at a reserved seated venue. I dont need the poster, dont need the autograph, and I dont even need to meet the man...JUST PUT MY ASS IN THE PIT FOR THE SHOW!!!! Does THAT come with VIP??? Anyone?? Anyone???
Well, its all moot now because I didn't get the m&g...although I got through but nothing happened when I tried to submit...probably did something wrong somewhere along the line..oh well..., tried again, but sold out...will go cry quietly in a corner now...Now to see if I can upgrade my seat...nope, ticket doesn't come with the show...
Anytime I am ever going to see Adam perform live I will have to travel at least several thousand miles. My one and only GNT in Staten Island included the cost of airfare, hotel and a hugely inflated ticket price from Stub Hub for a seat in the second balcony. I would have gladly added another $175 for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend a couple of minutes in Adam's presence and end up with my own personal photo to drool over. I'm far from wealthy but I realize that Adam's time is very precious so I have no problem that there is a charge for the privilege, just like there would be for any professional. Otherwise, why would he further complicate his busy schedule to do it. Whether or not to take advantage of the opportunity is a personal decision. Nobody is forced to take part in it, but I'm glad the opportunity has now been made available and I hope to use it to meet Adam someday.
Keep complaining & the M&Gs are liable to disappear completely. Not all of ADAM's fans are LUCKY enough to go to a concert much less meet ADAM in person. Try being a shut-in who can only experience ADAM through TV & Ytube videos ... then start complaining. Do you think that ADAM is doing this for only US? This is his livelihood no matter how much FUN he seems to have ... it is still a very grueling career. YOU try putting up with all the ROTTEN things thrown at ADAM constantly while he just smiles & shrugs it off!! I'm sure it hurts him deeply even though he doesn't show it. Then there are those NASTY paps in his space day after day. Walk a mile in ADAM's shoes .. then criticize his decisions. It is his LIFE ... let HIM make the choices. As long as ADAM continues to ENTERTAIN me & bring his sunshine into my life with his MUSIC ... I won't ever COMPLAIN!! Just keep being YOU ADAM ... that's ALL I want!! Love & Light ...

All of these comments have merit and food for thought.I see both sides and also have paid an insane amount to stubhub.$425.00 apiece for two tickets, plus hotel and travel. Probably the most extravagant, craziest thing I've ever done in my life! I had 3rd row center seats, with the full pit in front of me, but I don't regret it for a minute! I saw the amazing expressions on his beautiful face and magnificent moves, as well as the fantastic dancers and band. I knew I would probably never be able to get that close again, as we all know with fame he won't be that accessable. I'm so sorry, Glitzylady that you were unable to get the M&G. I hope you will in the future. I will try myself at the next tour if all is well. My kids told me to live my life to the fullest and have fun doing it. Tess4Adam, your comment is exactly why I did it. My husband had a brain tumor which led to other serious issues and became totally dependant on my care for the last 14 yrs of his life. Quality is more important to me than quantity. Those that are unable to get out and see him for whatever reason,we have incredible videos and personal experiences of those that can see Adam and share. It can almost be like being there. The VIP experiences can still be shared and appreciated. When I hear of fans encounters with Adaam I can picture it and imagine the excitement and joy. It makes me happy for those fortunate fans and I can live vicariously thru' them for a brief moment in time. Enjoy Adam any way you can. He has so much to give and is doing it perfectly! funbunn40
Glitzlady, don't forget Stubhub for in many cases, much better seats if you don't mind paying the price. I paid $204 for a 5th row left of stage ticket for the one concert I went to. I felt as though this may be my only chance for such a close seat as I know he will be playing in larger and larger venues in the future. I tried like heck to find out about a meet n greet and was told by the hotel that there wasn't one and then just a few weeks ago pictures surfaced from a meet n greet where I went! No one came out afterward to see us fans. The bus was behind a fence and they escaped without us meeting anyone. Security chased us away early on and said Adam had already left. I was so bummed! I had waited a year and a half to meet someone from the band. I guess the dancers don't come out do they?
daydreamin
@daydreamin, Taylor Green came out briefly to fans in Raleigh on his way somewhere, but stopped and interacted with fans. I don't hink they do as a rule, but the band does pretty often. I think the casino venues are very rigid and not accomodating to fans, at least at Hard Rock, Fl. funbunn40
@daydreamin...you probably won't see this but here I am again, noticed your post...yep, I have used Stub Hub before to upgrade...I got my 1st row seat at Puyallup through them after getting very mediocre seats through Ticketmaster in the first few moments of Pre-sale and sale...The seats went on SH right after the sale and for a semi-reasonable price so grabbed them up...The best spent money ever!!! So I feel extremely fortunate to have been that up close and personal...as far as waiting at the buses...did so at the Seattle concert, saw all of the band and dancers, Allison, Adam, and Neil come and go both before and after the concert but I didn't really meet them. Adam came out briefly an hour and a half after the concert and signed autographs but was pretty quick.. The band frequently comes out before the concerts to meet and sign autographs and met them all at the Puyallup, Tommy, Monte, and Isaac, but no dancers..No one came out after...and the security people told us no one was coming out..and was none too nice about it either...As @funbunn40 said above it just depends on where you are..
