Hey, I must have blinked or something cuz I didn't see a single snippet of Adam's‼ :))
It would be interesting to see the new season of AI this Wednesday. It's fun watching the goofy auditions. Where some of them are sooo oblivious to the fact that they can't sing‼ :)

it was there...i think 2 snippets...still no mention of adam's successful GNT or Grammy nod

good to hear from Ruben,he is such a sweet guy. I tried to see him and Clay on tour this year but was unable to swing it, maybe next time. I hope Idol has Adam on to sing this season. It doesn't sound like they are going to have mentors this year.Looking forward to this Wed. and Thurs.

I think they might try to avoid mentioning Adam because was the ONE who set the bar so much higher for contestants. Hopefully Steven Tyler will be a strong enough personality to point out real talent when I walks on to their stage. Simon loved saying who would not make it - maybe Tyler -whom I consider his replacement - a better judge pointing out who would succeed and make the show exciting. I hope the have better people thinning out the masses of contestants.

They did have a flash of Adam - you would miss it if you blinked.

Correction - to 11:32 Hopefully S.T. will be a strong enough personality to point out real talent when he/she walks...........stage.

Jeez it was more than a flash... you didn't recognize him?! He was a bit heavier then with shorter hair. He's wearing a blue shirt & jeans...the third performer they show.

*starting at .32 seconds ---a whole sentence --> "For nine seasons performers on American Idol hit high notes"....
(with a pause here as Adam hits a high note) then goes onto others..... "and low notes"

Thought it was great...

Personally - I think they will downplay Adam because he didn't "win" yet was much more successful. They have to perpetuate the myth that by winning Idol you become a success. It looks bade for them if the one who did not win becomes huge. I think last year Adam was a mentor because idol was desperate and Adam was the only one who could attract viewers for the show. I know all of us fans watched Adam giving Idol ratings a large boost. Just my opinion. nancdruuu2

It was great to see Ruben, what a sweetheart. Saw Adam and as usual it wasn't long enough of a view. Seems like AI is only using winners to promote the new show. I'd like to see Adam perform on Idol just cause I want to see him perform. I miss him.

I have never heard of Ruben Studdard. Is he such a big success in US as they said? For me American Idol IS Adam Lambert and that show lost all credibility after that voting scam.

They used Adam's clips in great ways I think - the first one especially. The audio behind the second clip with Adam and Kris, the voiceover behind it, of course pulls at my heart strings a little bit for Kris... but we just had that discussion a handful of threads ago, LOL!! But anyway, yeah, agree w/ Cindy - thought AML's first clip was very flattering IMHO.

@Eva Jan 17 2:15PM - Hi Eva. Ruben has had success, but not in the pop world so much... more in R&B and even Soul. I think he is even referred to as a gospel singer sometimes... don't follow those charts, but believe he has had success there. Please feel free peeps to correct me if I'm wrong on that.

Was Daughtry even in that video package? Not gonna watch again (too much AML to catch up on and so little time, lol) but IMHO that's a misstep on the part of the Today Show producers of that little video package if Daughtry wasn't in there... especially in the quick little section about achieving super stardom even after getting voted off (where I think they pictured JHud, Clay & Gokey (not gonna go there on that last one, lol)... but whatevs :). Thanks for the thread 'though 24/7, interesting.

Ruben is one HUGE star!

OT I hope Adam is busy writing and working on his new album. Would hate to see him wasting his time in a tattoo parlor doing an arm sleeve. UGH

No interest in AI whatsoever! Will only watch the show if Adam is on.

I'm with you, Bing. Danny Gokey a superstar? Not even in his wildest dreams. I don't hear anything about what he's done since Idol. Just votedseveral times. Adam at 53.19 Michael Jackso close. funbunn40

It's not fair not mentioning Adam's success.

No more AI for me!! It's done & overwith. AML took that show & blew them all away!!
my concern for the grammys is how can a deceased person be nominated for something when you should be physically or vocally present to recieve such a reward? I think it's ridiculous, & unjustified to those who are present & are just as capable or even yet , more gifted with music. May the universe & higher power be with Adam Lambert on the night that the world will know who is the best male pop vocalist, & is just that!!

To me - the thing is, in terms of MJ's nominated song/performance - I hear (read) in the blogosphere that it's not up to MJ standards... I know nothing of this personally, let me just say that, I have just read this in the blogosphere, and haven't been so familiar with the sources, so let me put that disclaimer out there... but have seen that some feel that MJ himself would probably not even have released that performance??? IDK - just throwing that out there. I do trust the Grammy nominating procedure, whether I should or not? I'm actually fairly optimistic that it won't be MJ winning in AML's category... but there are some other strong contenders even so IMHO! But what do I know??? Fingers crossed, that's all I know for sure :).

@Bing & funbunn40 - said I wasn't gonna go there and Imma stickin' to my guns...LOL!

Let's face it: Ever since Adam, American Idol hasn't been able to walk straight for the past year and a half.

The show is over. Adam has left the building. Will never feel the need to watch again.

On to the Grammys February 13!!

Kris Allen, sadly, is already fading into obscurity...the curse of being the winner of American Idol.

Adam Lambert is just getting started on a superstar career. There will never be another like him. I won't be watching "Idol" again. I've already found my Idol.
