Jim was right; if you can't go there, don't go there. I listened James to butcher that song to dead and then hearing the judges PRAISE the song I was like "Do they have ears? Did they hear the same what I just did??"

Agree totally that Durbin's gotta leave his Adamizing alone. Don't like the guy anyway, whether he's trying to be Adam or not. Bye bye, James Durbin.

AI is trying to stir us and it is working. Congrats to Nigel! I feel sorry for James but if they continue comparing him to Adam, he will fall flat on his face!

Also, IMO the guys are really weak this season compare to girls. AI is desperate for a girl to win this season and it's doing everything to get rid of all the talented guys. Leaving the geeky guys in the competition.

I am already siked for this season. Can't wait for the guys to sing on Tuesday.Got my phone all ready to vote.

Well it wouldn't be AI if they weren't pimping someone. Should make for interesting season at least. Hope Jlo can stop the water works, and Steven can actually say someone did badly. Think Randy will have to step up to the plate occasionally this year.

They did let some good ones go and praised some that sounded pretty bad. Hope Steven Tyler didn't lose some of his hearing over the years with his concerts loud and all. I love Steven Tyler but he seems too nice and JLO too. Never thought I would say I miss Simon, but someone needs to give a reality check to some contestants. We'll see how things unfold in the next few weeks. I believe the girls are stronger this season.

I am one of those ones that have never missed an episode in 10 seasons. I picked Adam from his 1st audition, and Kelly also. That's about it. Also loved Cook and underwood. I do believe there is alot of talent this year, finally (Idol needed this to survive) My bet is on lauren aliana and as far as james durkin goes, I feel he needs to be very careful in portraying himself as the next Adam. It can work in his favor (from the adam haters) or if he gets and earns the respect from us glamberts, he will go far. (only if he becomes his own artist) Us glamberts know the real deal, Adam cannot be dupicated so don't even try James and then I will give you some love.

I don't like James Durbin either. He is out of tune everytime he tries to hit high notes. He just sounds terrible. I don't like to listen to anyone that goes off key. James also does not seem to have a good personality either. He just does not come off as a nice person. I really wish he would quit trying to copy Adam.

Durbin is handicapped so there will be lots of sympathy voting. Think the girls have a shot this year, and about time.

AI "casts" their show, CASTS it; they have not ever put through the best talent entirely... I'm not saying that is right or wrong, but it just is... IMHO. Haven't watched yet this year, but that is their standard MO usually, no secret/no mystery, and an important aspect to keep in mind IMHO.

Oh hi @MGF it is just so nice to hear from you again my dear :) Stay well and kind regards!

@Anon Feb.27 at 12:53PM - same here. I never thought that i'd miss someone like Simon but after what i've watched, it is only now that i get to value his being candid and brutally frank. He won't sugarcoat nor filter his personal opinions which are more often than not spot on. Hats off to Simon Cowell when it comes to judging talents. I would prefer his constructive criticisms rather than be mislead into believing something you are not. The 3 judges must be able to bring out the best in these contestants but patronizing them isn't the way to do it. They need to be as sharp as Simon and start giving relevant truthful critiques in order to challenge this batch with many potentials in it. If all of them will just be complacent, AIS10 might not be able to find another star and that wouldn't be exciting anymore.

I'm also sorry to say this but after seeing James' ACIGC, i was really disappointed because i think he could have done better had he focused on his strengths rather than hitting those high notes. If properly advised, he could hone his skills to his advantage. Sadly, i had difficulty listening to his version and he really has to work hard on those high notes so as not to sound screeching at all. I hope that he will acknowledge his mistakes so that he can strategize well and be able to create his own identity. I have yet to see what else he can offer and judge him fairly after a few more rounds. But as of now, he has not earned my respect yet because the artistry is still missing. It is still too early to give my verdict and i wish all the contestants good luck. Casey is very entertaining to me but i doubt it very much if his style will appeal to the young ones. I'm beginning to like Pia T. and Karen Rodriguez though this may change in the next few weeks :)

Is Jim C. a Glambert too? He sure does sound like it!
IMHO! I wish we would just drop the AI crap now!Yes, they gave us our biggest & brightest & most gifted STAR to ever walk this earth, Adam Lambert, but like Adam, let's go forward! Let AI keep mentioning Adam's name, they should , every darn show!! it'll be their repayment for Adam not winning. Just talking about AI depresses me. The only idol I can relate to with AI, is Adam Lambert. I'm sorry folks, it's ok to watch it but it's not about AI anymore, it's about the present & bright future of Adam Lambert!
Is this true about the remix of "Aftermath" being the next single, particularly in the US? I understand it's for the Trevor project, but to be released as a single , I'm confused. Need more info please.
ps, sorry to sound trollish. K

I have proof the producers or whoever selects individuals for the judges and America to ridicule. Check out this Youtube link and tell me if you think this girl should have been given a chance to sing for the judges. She tried out the same year the "lemur jungle baby" faced guy actually got to audition. They didn't let her. The video cuts her off at the end, but you'll get what I'm saying. Where is the justice? They let a lot of great talent slip through their fingers because of sensationalism.

Adam Lambert set the bar so high during season 8 of AI that everyone else pales in comparison to him. Just look at lackluster season 9 with Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox. Not much excitement there for those two. I think the producers and judges are looking for someone special to bring the "spark" back into the show since it has been losing viewers. Just have Adam on as a guest performer and see how fast the viewer numbers will rise for that show. I also think the guys are weaker than the girls this season, but time will tell who will win this year and become the next Americn idol.
