God, he's pretty. Prettier than some of the women he gets his pix taken with! No disrespect...just sayin'.

Will have to save these pictures as there was so much heat about Adam's long hair, he got rid of it very fast. I kinda like a change up now and again, sure he does.

Are those the jeans he wore on AI this week?
I think I know his wardrobe better than I know my own, seriously..

The long hair reminded me of all my daughters boyfriends in the 70s and 80s. Only Adam's hair was shorter. Their boyfriends were ALL in Bands, all ROCKERS....our house was noisy but fun.

However it made for some "dated looking" wedding photos!

A note for the Social Security crowd out there...
I came home one day to a housefull of boys all with ponytails or flowing locks, my daughter said "Mom I don't think you've met Greg". He turned around and I gasped....ladies imagine a 20 year old Burt Lancaster with blond curls almost to his waist, same tan and flashing white teeth. I'm not kidding, he was a stunner!
.....The 70s and 80s were cool!.....JAK

@anon 10:13....what good eyes you have! Yes, I immediately thought they looked like the ones he wore on AI last Thursday. I think we all know his wardrobe quite well LOL!

OT..@ JAK, Sounds like my house in the 70's and 80's!Thought the band boys would eat me out of house and home! Every Thanksgiving I set an extra plate at the dining table, calling it the "phantom plate" for any wayward guest that would always show up. We never knew in advance who it would be, but there was always someone that the kids knew that didn't have plans and whose family were in another state. My stepsons always would bring a friend or two from Tenn. when they would visit. My house was always full and I loved every minute of it. I had a round oak table in the kitchen where we would talk about everything. I always said I could never get rid of that table because of all of the secrets in the wood. I still have that table and can't bring myself to get rid of it. It's in the garage[being stored] and the girls will ask me from time to time if I still have it. They are sentimental about that piece of "living wood " also and the tales it could tell...funbunn40

Just had to remark about your lovely post. There is a square oak table in our kitchen. I got it at a garage sale going on thirty years ago...it was painted pink! I refinished it and noticed that if you looked upside down the 'flower' carved on the middle panel looks like a troll. I teach at that table and the kids always get a kick out of that. The kids I work with are bright but struggling in school, so I tell them that they may feel like the troll, but eventually the "flower" will bloom in them, too. Many memories...
Love these pictures of our gorgeous Adam.

I loved the long hair! However, when he stepped on the stage at Idol last week I screamed--NEVER have I seen him look better!!!!!

I love a man with a long flowing mane! dark flowing mane! Lots of hair and liner is the way to go!

I loved this look(wish he hadn't changed it so quickly). The last picture is especially beautiful. I guess personally I always like his hair more rocker/hippie/less Ken doll.oops VERY VERY charismatic either way.

OT...@lmb, What a rewarding job you have! The children are fortunate to be at that very special table, learning that they are so special too! I always felt that the wood absorbed the spirit of those at the table and it always gave me a warm feeling. Your table is full of inspiration and hope of what's to come and I think those children will always be connected to it and your caring words. Thanks for yours! funbunn40

You mean that the trolls will bloom into flowers in the AFTERMATH. Where have I heard that good encouraging thought before?

Isn't teaching the greatest? I always went to bed tired and then lay there praying for every student and explaining to God just how to help each one, I'm sure He appreciated my input. By the time I got to my family prayer list, you know the short list of requests, "keep them all safe and well......take me if someone has to go" I fell asleep from exhaustion.

I miss those days..........JAK

Another warm memory of those long haired band boys. My husband was an early riser (5:30 am)and was careful not to wake me. One morning I smelled bacon cooking....very unusual. When I walked into the kitchen my husband was cooking for both daughters and a tall tan indian (native American) with long long straight hair and beautiful black eyes with eyeliner and two yellow stripes on one cheek!

My daughters explained he was lead singer of the band Warpath and he had to catch a plane in two hours for N.C. His name was Cree ( I figured N.C., maybe he was Cherokee.) The girls had told him he could shower and change at our house and they'd take him to airport.

I was a little unnerved by the warpaint and barechest until he said, "I'm sorry to be a bother ma'am, but the other guys are driving back and I have to fly cause if I miss my orthodontist appointment this afternoon, my Mom will kill me!"

Then I relaxed, underneath the make up was a 20 year old boy afraid of his mother! Lesson learned, don't judge a boy by his warpaint!

Life has been a fun ride....I'm lucky...JAK

Thank you for nice note. I've had a lot of adventures in my long life at home and abroad and as you may have noticed I'm from a "talky" family. As far back as Davy ,or David as we refer to him, Crockett.....a true yarn spinner.

@JAK..
I remember that you said you are related to Davy Crockett..Have a friend who is too! Suppose there are many who are, but just fun to know! Long lost cousins! That "small world" again! Friend is a good yarn spinner, too, BTW...

Oh there are a lot of David's ancestors and years ago I registered a 5 year old at my kindergarten and his name was David Crockett. I asked his dad, "any relation" and he said "yes",so we talked family tree. My branch had a David in every generation. My uncle had a portrait of Davy when he went to Congress, A handsome man, but not one to stick around home,
The grass was always greener over the next mountain......................JAK

JAK, I just had to comment about your ancestor, Davy Crockett. When I was little I had a white Davy Crockett hat. I would practice dancing with that hat on in the garage. One night I figured out who Santa Claus was by asking my dad questions....he told me the truth. I paused and asked, " Was there really a Davy Crockett?" His eyes brightened as he said, "Absolutely!" I will never forget the relief on his face. Later on as an adult I realized that was the day he saw the magic of my childhood change...but then Davy Crockett saved the day!
I am not surprised a lot of us are teachers here. These days it's nice to have such a major celebrity honor our profession as Adam does, again and again!

Loved the "scary warrior" story,too!

Thanks Adamfix for the nice words and all of the words you post that make us all relate in our adoration of the "great one!" We all feed each other in the best way!... @JAK Loved the warpaint story and lesson that we shouldn't judge a book by it's cover.[much like Adam for some!] I'm no relation to DC, but remember a fad of wearing Davy Crockett coonskin caps in grammar school. funbunn40
