Beautiful photo of Adam with Queen. Brian May knows real iconic talent when he sees one because he is one himself. Adam an icon! Oh and no one rocks a long coat as suavely as Adam. Well, the others had better step up their game; Adam has notched it several bars higher. :)

Adam dosent need join the fredie band ,they are legend from the past.

Adam look like vampire here, good for him at least we saw him performing for a longtime.

I thought The Show Must Go On was epic. Really was a match for Adam's voice. It sounded like a James Bond theme song....super dramatic. It's 2:40 a.m. and I keep playing the set over and over and skipping around reading reviews and comments....I may not go to bed at all! :))))))

Amazing night, with a singer adored by all who heard his incredible voice. Adam, you were right where you belong -up there on a world stage. Love you forever!

Dear11:15, yea I had this vampire-look feel too; in fact it reminded me of my Glampire Adam poem; I might extend my poem, with maybe, he leaps into the air, his suave long coat brushes past the werewolf! Ooooohh.... spooky and handsome!! :)

Yea JAK, I was totally mesmerised by The Show Must Go On; never heard it sung like that by Freddie. I love the way Adam strutted on the platform and Brian May following behind with his guitar. Dramatic!

This has been an epic day! All hail the Adam! When Alan Freeman
loved Queen many years back and said they were too out the box at that time...but they would become massive superstars when people caught up...Boy was he So right! Brian and Roger will remember him for sure because he promoted Queen prior to any DJ at that time!
ADAM blew the EMA's clear out the water and around the universe. He is a born superstar!

Yes, Adam stoll the show. And this is the reason why he never invited to perform on big events and show.
Okay, but now Adam will get invitation on Europian events.
By the way. Love these pictures.
Adam looks superb in Bryan and Rodger company

The show must go on, Freddie is expressing in a certain way the pain, fear and the courage that you know what little time left to live. It is not a song more than Queen , but that is a farewell. It is a song filled with drama and for my one of the best of Queen. When fredi died, in Europe this song sounded at all hours in the radios. It was one of the best performances from Fredi. Yesterday Adam was perfect.
Sorry for my english.

The audience were stunned indeed and they were calling his name after the performance!!!!

I might be preaching to the choir here but I will never get tired of telling others how absolutely thrilled I was about Adam's MTVEMA performance. It was very obvious that he had prepared so much for his performance and gave it his all. Of course, he does have the inborn talent but to be able to keep improving himself and delivering one fantastic performance after another is the dedication and passion all artists should emulate. There is no need to compare him to anyone - soon Adam will be a legend in his own right.

I just love these guys. The pictures brought tears to my eyes. I can see their basic Goodness, shining in their eyes, unlike the vacant eyes in so many publicity photos of stars.

I'll join the choir. These guys are GREAT!!!!

Epic performance! This is exactly what Adam needed for the world to hear his amazing voice.I have been on a high from this and keep watching the performance. Thank you Brian May and Rodger! The you tube counter does not seem to be going up. Does anyone else notice that?

Anonymous said...

Before long, he'll just be ADAM. The Lambert part will hardly be necessary. I mean, who else could it be? This performance will be talked about for a long time. The voice was epic. I could have watched it over anc over again all night but needed SOME sleep!

UNFREAKINBELIEVABLE!! I can't stop watching the video.......what a voice.......love him! (the coat is amazing!)

Epic performance. Brian and Roger are amazing musiciams and they chose the right person in Adam to perform wtih them. Roger said Adam's voice was one in a million. I keep watching the performance over and over. I have only heard two people who can do Freddie justice and that is George Michael and Adam Lambert. KLM

Anybody know what's going on at AdamOfficial? The site has emptied all its post sections. Can't open a new post either. Anybody know?

Maybe we can celebrate by voting for Adam on AIOTM again. I know we've been a little distracted. Wouldn't it be something if he got ot #1 again!

Anonymous said...

correction, Roger said one in a hundred million. What a compliment. Can't wait to hear Adam's new music and I hope we see him perform with Queen again. KLM

When I heard Adam was going to perform with Queen on this show, the very first thing that came to mind was the song, The Show Must Go On. I thought, "OMG,I hope he sings this, I want him to sing it." But Adam took it places I thought were impossible to reach by anyone who isn't Freddie or doesn't come from Planet Fierce. Can't stop watching the video, I'll be seeing it in my head at work all day. Love love you, Mr. incredible Adam, I hope the whole world is on fire for you now!

Thank you Queen! I don't think there's another singer on the planet who could have done what Adam Lambert did on that stage. What a class act. EPIC performance - Adam, you ROCK!

@Anonymous 6:08 a.m.

I was wondering the same thing. I did go on the site, scrolled to the bottom of the page and sent Sony a comment regarding this (website technical issues). Hopefully they will be able to shed light on the situation. I wouldn't doubt if the site suffered a whopping meltdown following Adam's performance. It was hot, after all!!

I just keep watching the video over and over feeling like a proud mama. Each time I listen I just think wow that voice! No one else could have done Feddy proud like Adam. He must have been ecstatic up there! I know I was for him!!!

4.40 am I so agree with you. These Men are Icons and they all still got their heads on straight and their hearts in the right place. It shows in their mutual respect.
I also think Brian and Roger have done a tremendous job by keeping the spirit of Freddie alive.(The Queen official website is amazing)
These are Man of Honor.

I can't get enough of watching the video. Adam's voice was incredible. I love "Show Must Go On". Wished he could have it on his album. I know artists put cover on their album. Celine Dion has done it. Then why Adam touring with Queen and do his Solo music also. He is young and he can do both.

ADAM: THE BEST EVER!!!!!!

Can't wait to see where that jacket shows up again...maybe on tour... next summer ..saving my money...got a car now ...maybe get to see more then one show ...

Quote from Rodger Taylor after the EMAs:

"Brilliant, Genius friend Adam Lambert Singing here, what a voice, one in a hundred million"

Have been reading many, many wonderful comments about this performance. Am so f--ing proud of Adam!

Anonymous said...

You know what I keep thinking: regardless of Lambert's uber talent, if Brian and Roger thought he was an ass, on any level, they would not have had him sing with them, no matter what. When I ponder it on that level, it really is an even more amazing thing to me that our precious Lambert was given this opportunity.

adding clarification to my comment at November 7, 2011 7:39 AM: meaning that, nice guys do finish first sometimes. Queen clearly finds Adam Lambert to be worthy of singing with them as a human being, not just as a musician. Maybe that's a stretch on my part, but it's something I'm feeling viscerally. I know business is business, but that notion just keeps resonating in my mind.

Anon @ 7:39am & 7:42 am

Great comment! Totally agree.

Also would like to add, it is not just the tone and power of Adam's voice, but the way he pronounces every word, every single sound is just astounding. English is not my native language and I feel the beauty of the language and the lyrics through Adam's singing. It is a rare gift. Amazing.

I also cannot stop watching. That will stay in my dvr for a very long time. I am just beaming with joy over all the remarkable comments everywhere on adam's performance. I'm so hoping the U.S. takes notice what they are missing and start to invite adam to sing in these awards show here!

@Anon Nov.7 at 7:42AM - i will have to agree with your post. You said it beautifully.

I've been up since 4:00am to watch EMAs at MTVASIA and i watched the replay with my eldest son at 10:00pm. I know it's OTT but i've been watching the video over and over for practically the whole day and i still couldn't get enough of it. OMG this magnificent performance is so addicting that i'd like to savor every minute of it because i'm just wide awake and still in cloud 9. Adam Lambert and Queen is simply a match made in heaven giving me EXQUISITE
JOY AND HAPPINESS.

One of Adam's strengths is his unique and fantastic style in covering songs. I'll have to be honest that i'm not familiar with The Show Must Go On but hearing Adam's cover sent shivers to my spine and made me love it instantly. It was simply magical for me. Nobody can replace The Great Freddie Mercury but Adam made Queen proud with the way he nailed their songs. Congratulations Adam for your stellar performance. And my sincerest gratitude to Dr. Brian May and Roger Taylor for their brilliant move in giving Adam the honor to join them in this momentous occasion.

Oh Adam what a fabulous way to make us all proud of you. Thanks too for your humility, selflessness and professionalism making this event all about Queen. ILYSM Adam!

Does anyone know where we can find a copy of Adam, Queen and Gaga singing "Under Pressure"??
I've been looking everywhere but can't find it.....

I've saved the picture of Brian May and Adam. Brian has the look of a very proud father and Adam looks happy to have been able to please him. Priceless.

I loved that Adam was standing in the dark, without a spotlight on him as he started to sing The Show Must Go On. He truly wanted the night to be Queen's. Cudos Adam.

A wise woman on AI8 said "I truly believe you will be iconic and I will be a fan forever."

George Michael and Adam Lambert are the only artist that come close to the greatness of Freddie Mercury.

I'm a big Queen fan and I thought Adam did a heartwrenching version of "Show must go on". It had me pulled in. I thought his voice fit the song perfectly. I think the performance won he some new fans!
