Hope they are paying him lots of money to appear, if this story is true. Most top artists get a small fortune for this type of private show. Adam deserves to also. Also great opportunity to try out new band arrangements.

I just hope they are paying Adam, a BIG FORTUNE for this.

Adam has made such a difference for so many people for different reasons. I am happy that everything is falling into place for him. Really excited to hear his new music!!!

Can he be back by the 22nd to perform on the X Factor finale. I would love to see him on there, but if the Shanghai gig is true don't know about X Factor. So don't know much about this but you say the pay is really high. Is it smart promo to start in Asia instead of the U.S. just wondering if any one knows.

Anonymous said...

Asian countries paid well during gnt also. I hope he gives a good performance to them. I bet that Adam didn't get much profit from the European gnt.

glitzylady said...

I've heard that the Shanghai gig has been in the works for awhile and it is coincidental that the single is (probably) coming out on the 18th. Isn't necessarily promo-ing in Asia. Its a private event and he may fly out immediately, perhaps to Europe (?) etc...I'm guessing they have a plan in the works and could be they needed to finalize plans before the single drops!

Can hardly wait for the interviews and rounds of TV shows, and the performances! Glad its finally starting..but really want to hear it from Mr. Lambert himself : ) Just makes it all feel so more REAL!

@4:59PM Never heard that ADam will perform on X Factor Finale. Where did you get this info?

Isn't Adam due in court in CA on Jan. 1st for BFM lawsuit?

@5:26 No I did not say he was going to be on X Factor I meant I would love to see him do the show. Sorry if I did not state that clearly. I am just wishing out loud.

For sure Adam is having everything under the lid. We can't trespass to anything. Ninjas are failing. Good way of starting the campaign for his album #Trespassing. We thought we know him Better Than We Know Ourselves. Guess not!

@ JAK
It was said in the beginning that Adam's lawyers could handle the case, and it would not involve Adam going to court.

I'm watching this livestream http://www.ustream.tv/channel/coralmermaid before watching Adam on Sundance channel prog. as a guest judge and it's showing some hot hot gay romance. Ohhhh...I'm fanning myself.

Sooooo jealous that Shanghai gets to see him/hear his new music first.
Feeling like chopped liver? just kidding. Adam belongs to the whole world. And surely someone will send us the crumbs, I mean a video, the very next day?? Whole lotta awesomeness to come. Can't wait.

Anonymous said...

Well at least it's starting and at least he's getting paid decent $$$$$. This has been a quiet year for him performance-wise so it's a great way to get the band up-and-running just before the promo tour.

Leadership summit...oooh. Big dollars...ooooh. Does that mean he is performing his new single live in Shanghai...ooooh. Shanghai is very steeped in theatre. Adam learns languages very fast; he should record a Chinese opera or pop song, accompaniment/erhu; can try that with Outlaws of Love. Erhu has a very haunting sound, a 2-stringed instrument often used in pop songs. Wow Adam you sure are going places! Very excited already...

Watched Adam on the Sundance channel. He looked soooo handsome and loved how he was playing with his ring on his finger, cute and sexy! He wasn't on long enough. Oh well my heart was beating very fast for those 5 minutes anyway!

To this last comment, I so agree. People love it when stars learn a few words in their own language. It creates a special bond between them and the artist. If Adam is going to Shanghai, a few words in Mandarin would be totally awesome.

Well, China is the most populous country in the world. Shanghai is a huge city. I know this is a private party, but it is bound to get some press, maybe even a pic or two. If Adam going to market himself, why not do it in the biggest music-buying market on the planet? Wonder what he'll perform? The Glam wheels are starting to turn once again!

Yes,Adam wasn't on"On the Line"very long, but it was interesting. The jacket they made for him looked pretty nice,& BB seemed to like it.He was not a judge, tho.

I find it awkward that everything Adam do he gets attacked for it.

In mjsbigblog the most comment are Adam there for money,he only care for money, that's the most stupid comments I ever seen in my life.

I'm happy that adam from beginning break out of Idol and he do what he likes like other singers,Katy ,gaga.

The thing that I hate about new single is that it's someone else song like hes1 album,I wanted to say that it's Adam single that he wrote for he's album.

Anonymous said...

Hi7:58, maybe he can start with...wo ai nee and seh seh and Shanghai...zhen mei li...That'll bring on a lot of smiles and after listening to Adam sing, they'll swoon. LOL. :)

Did anybody else notice BB's silver nail polish on"All on the Line" tonight? It looked nice.Whatever song Adam chooses for his first single,I'm sure he feels it's the best one to release first.I bet even tho he had another writer work w/him,it's so different now, that BB's prob considered co-writer.Lot's of negative posts here & under other threads today.Let's try to keep positive thoughts & posts.

For those fans who are saying Amway has a Right Christian type of mentality, hey Adam went on a talent show on FOX channel. No T.V. channel on earth is as right wing conservative as FOX. Adam is an entertainer and Amway is a huge global company. Plus he is performing in Shanghai. Different location with different political view. So zip it!

People said that Adam can't write he's own song ,other writers do thing for him.

I want people know Adam can write he's own song.

Anonymous said...

Maybe the lawsuit can't let Adam perform.

Claude Kelly told Jim Cantello or whatever his last name is. Adam's song sounds nothing like the demo, so even though Claude wrote it I am sure Adam added a lot to it. We don't know if he even added or changed some lyrics so to me it's Adam' as well as Claude Kelly's. Adam has lots of songs that he wrote or co wrote on the album. It's all good, so lets keep it positive!

Shanghai is in China with over one billion population. $$$$$$ in Adam's pocket. Meaning he can invest it in his future concerts. Yayy, go Adam! Get the right-wing bastard's money. You put tons of money in their pocket back in 2009. Occupy Conservatives!

Adam, get in, get out, get the money and get home.

AMWAY's culture probably varies across the world. What might be it's culture in the US isn't necessarily it's culture in mainland China, which is Communist and frowns on any type of religion.

Adam is pretty respectful of people's right to their beliefs, unless they openly express prejudice and hate. He made a big point about open-mindedness being a 2-way street on Idol (re: finding out that Southern Christians can be open-minded, too.)

Chris Colfer once said in an interview that he had been asked for an autograph by Michelle Bachmann. He was polite and gave it to her, even though he was thinking WTF? He said you never know if your attitude might change a mind. What he didn't say was the rudeness would have given her ammunition.

Whether he does it for money or love, Adam seems bent on winning the world over one heart at a time. I hope AMWAY pays him a "BIG FORTUNE", I hope he has a great time with them and I hope they all buy his cd and play the living daylights out of for their their friends in the Chinese New Year!

I played GNL and FYE cds and dvds a lot, so I decided to buy them again for keeps. I ordered GNL CD/DVD, GNL (Blu-Ray), and FYE European Deluxe Edition from Amazon. I won't use them. I just keep them as a memorabilia signifying collection of everything from Adam's first album. Can't wait for Trespassing.

rumour has it, this was booked way back in April, and I assume they thought the single would have been released by now. Its probably just a coincidence that its now the same time as the single is coming out. And apparently, although its being held in Shanghai, its a conference (or whatever) for the Japanese amway people, and we all know how the Japanese love them some Adam.
Don't quite understand some of the worries expressed over this, will admit to not knowing much about Amway, but Shanghai is not a small backwater of China, its a major world city with a population of nearly 24,000,000. I'm sure Adam will be able to cope for a few days, slumming it in some 5* hotel...
and @ anon dec9 8.53, really hope you're joking with the 'where the f**k is Shanghai...

Anonymous said...

@3:44 Thanks for posting that list. Only two DVDs earlier than Adam's were released this year, 2011. The rest were released prior to 2010. If Billboard had a list for 2011 Music Video Sales, Adam's GNL would be in 3rd position after Les Miserables and AC/DC. With release of Trespassing, hopefully it'll move up the chart next year.

Why oh why do some people dump on Adam because he hasn't WRITTEN ALL HIS OWN SONGS? He's written some, and some he has not written. Some he has co-written. Some of the BIGGEST current singers do not write their own songs. Why don't these idiots pick on all those OTHER singers who don't write their own songs, either. I guess it's jealousy. I don't know any other reason why some people think this is such a big deal.

BTW The Shanghai gig is huge, if it's gonna happen. Adam is a performer who landed what is probably a great paying gig. I don't put politics into it.

Seems that Adam will forever have haters who hate him for no good reason. I don't think it bothers him as much as it bothers some fo us. He's keeping his eyes on the prize.

Shesh. There are some who will try anything to discredit Adam. He writes songs, has writing credit on songs, and graciously accepts songs from other writers if he feels it suits him and has meaning to him personally. So do other singers. He had some "pretty good" success with WWFM: Grammy Nomination no less. Pink's words and music, Adam's own interpretation and his VOICE. He can pick and chose this time.

Last time he had only a few months to put together his album, all the while rehearsing for and then doing the Idol tour. Very tight schedule. I loved his debut album and still do. He then constantly tweaked the songs during GNT and other concerts until they were each even better than on the album, in my opinion. He had time to reinterpret them. I don't hear other singers doing that as much. One of Adam's greatest strengths, in addition to his wonderful voice and his ability to sing anything and do it it beautifully, is his ability to interpret and reinvent music and melodies, and to present the songs in the best possible way, and to make them his own.

I don't give a damn if he doesn't write every single song that he performs or puts on his album. Most of all I want to hear him SING. And at some point to see him perform those songs, another of his forte's. And hopefully, a live performance or 2 or more. Adam's greatest gift to the world: His VOICE. And, as many of us recall, he said a few months ago that he has written or has writing credit on a good percentage of the songs that he has recorded since he started writing and recording at the beginning of the year. And he has MANY more songs recorded than will fit on one CD. 35 or so. So I would suggest to those who say they doubt him to at least reserve judgement until after the album comes out.

He also said this album will be much more personal than the first one. That says to me he will be putting great deal of himself into each song. As long as Adam can put his heart and soul into the music, and puts his own unique and fabulous spin and signature on it, I don't care who wrote it, really. And its a plus if he has had a part, either great or small, in writing the words and the music, because we know he is sharing an even bigger part of himself with us. There are those songwriters out there that can barely sing a note and there are singers that don't write all of their own music..But they can do some pretty amazing collaborations putting the two together, the song, the music, and the interpretation of the two parts. Adam is a vocal virtuoso. "Fantasy Springs Whole Lotta Love". Nothing like the original Led Zeppelin. But absolutely incredible. Improvised in his car between LA and Palm Springs. He didn't write the words but oh! What he DID with them! That's what matters. I expect he'll being doing both on this new album. And although his first single was largely written by someone else, from what we've heard so far, its going to be fabulous. As one DJ who has heard it said: its going to be "FIRE"! I'm ready. Did he write? No. I. Don't. Care. Just bring it on!

I am truly fascinated with Adam's way of handling all the negativity that is constantly thrown at him. But the more they hate on Adam, the more successful he becomes because of his good nature and genuine artistry. I guess this is how the universe rewards Adam for being a dedicated and passionate artist and for always being true to form.

If that isn't enough to discourage these haters then nothing will. I agree with @DRG that because of their plain and simple JEALOUSY, they say stupid things about Adam that also make them appear so IGNORANT.

It is Adam's humility and enormous talent that endears him most to us and those who are just getting to know him. If Adam continues to be this way and focuses on his craft, then he is bound for superstardom conquering the world with his modern tunes. And knowing Adam he will change things up time and again and will sing a variety of other songs not only the danceable ones. There will be music for each and everyone of us because ADAM IS THAT VERSATILE!

Adam Mitchel Lambert, for sharing your exquisite talent to us, all i can say is THANK YOU! ILYSM and i always will.
