Counting down.....!

OT, but I have been asking one of the DJ's (Sandy Stec-the blond who interviewed Adam in SF @106.5) how to get Adam's song played since I had never heard them play it. She told me she has no say on what is played, but if it were up to her she would play all Adam! Also said evenings is when they add new music. She suggested I call after 7pm when the evening DJ (who is also the music director) is there. Well, I did. He paused when I asked if they could play Adam's new song BTIKM. He paused for a second and then said "Ya know, it's not on the rotation, but let me see what I can do". I am still listening for it almost 3 hours later, but I am hopeful!

@10:20PM I think if you have bunch of other fans from your area who listen to 106.5 to contact them as well, then they might reconsider to play BTIKM. Thanks for your comment and I hope other fans take some action of contacting them. Good luck!

...lifted the veil on who I really am... Wow, that indeed is a mighty big step. So glad he has managed to do that and in such a glorious way. Yea BTIKM does have this mystic element and yet relatable and familiar. I think as always this is another difficult song for anyone other than Adam, to sing and bring out its extravaganza. At first I liked the song but now with the video, seemingly potraying Adam in search of something, maybe his self and his love, who understands him deeply; it has taken on a whole load of emotion and in-depth meaning, for me. The song has effloresced; more so than before the BTIKM video. And his pristine vocals and untouchable high notes will propel this mega hit way up high. It's an unreturnable smash! A masterful flying kick! :)

@daydreamin At times, I'm kind of puzzled why radios don't play Adam's single. With his track record for the past couple of years, they should add his single automatically. I love BTIKM way more than Mr No It All (misspelled it on purpose). KC songs are played on rotation on my HAC radio. Once in a while they play WWFM. Something is preventing it from not being played! @Anon 11:57, the whole thing flabbergasts me! I thought for sure with all the hoopla surrounding all the attention he was getting with the radio station previews, for sure I thought all the stations would be chomping at the bit to play it. Wow. What the heck does it take? Strength in numbers? I thought we were doing that. Well, gotta be persistent and chug through. The little engine that could. That's how WWFM got played even though I rarely heard it on radio.

Yesterday, I came across something rather close to me. A tweet by a BorneoBert congratulating SingaporeBerts for having successfully voted BTIKM to #1 on the Hot30 music chart/radio exactly on 29Jan, to celebrate Adam's birthday. Still #1, I think. These SingaporeBerts have a kind of strategy which always works! For the FYE album, they voted, I think about 6 songs to #1 spot; Fever was a hot hot favourite, IIHY etc. As a result SonyMusic was able to release 6 singles off FYE. They'll probably maintain or surpass this number for Trespassing!! :)

BTIKM is played in OZ...Great love of Adam here from fans and from radio stations who promote Adam constantly. We feel so lucky!

Singaporeans certainly seem to know how to send Adam's songs to #1. They are passionate about Adam but all Glamberts are passionate about Adam so I don't get it. Are most of the radio stations in the U.S. homophobic? Is that the problem? I guess there are a lot more singers to promote in the U.S. than in other countries.

The Hot30 Singapore charts usually have many US pop singers like the most popular ones, Lady Gaga, Justin Beiber, Rihanna etc topping the charts. Right now, they're not in the top 30. But there are also pop singers of other countries, so the competition is pretty high. But when Adam came along they had to fight a lot harder. Right now a group called One Direction, no idea who they are, has just beaten Adam's BTIKM to second place. So it's not that much easier. But these SingaporeBerts are very fierce; they'll try like crazy to push it back to #1; they have this group voting strategy; not sure how it works. :)

Regarding Radio Play (frustrating BTW!!!):

Radio Station websites sometimes have little blurbs on Adam. One of my local stationsin the East currently does. So, I give it a lot of hits, just the little article itself...refresh, open multiple windows, whatever is needed, but see if your local radio stations' websites have articles or mentions on Adam currently and click on them!!!! Shows interest. Also, when the vid hits, even after the initial 24 hours, keep giving it hits, notice taken!

One Direction are a fairly new British boy bans. They are my 10yo daughters new favourites, she still likes JB, but One Direction is definitely now first on her list and gets all her youtube hits at the moment, her favourite is Liam! I got her their cd for christmas, and she's word perfect on every song. Actually the albums not bad, all the songs are listenable with a couple of pretty good ones.

@5:25 Do other fans of singers have to do so much to get their songs played. It is frustrating. It's a great song and my local stations still spin WWFM. I request daily and notice if it does get played it's early morning like 2:00 a.m. 102.9 KDMX Dallas is my local station. It's on their request form. At 5:00 central time they play top 5 at 5 . On the right side of the home page anyone can click on Adam's song arrow up and hit request. The top 5 get played by none other than Ryan S.Hopefully the video coming out will help.

I agree with several previous comments about not hearing Adam's songs played on the radio. It took quite a long time before I heard WWFM(from NJ but get NYC stations) and I still hear it more now than when first released. They actually played the acoustic version once on an Acoustic Sunday morning program...what a nice surprise. I don't understand the reason that Adam doesn't get radio play, performances on the Grammy,etc. since he is just so talented, has the best voice in the music business today(along with Adele). He is so articulate, smart, witty and self-confident during all his interviews. Most of the performers today can't even string two sentences together and their "music" is so often garbage...crude, crass and ridiculous. And I am tired of seeing vids with women in bikinis or less gryrating all over the place and holding bottles of liquor. Great images for the younger generation....so I guess that dates me. Anyway, can't wait to see the vid of BTIKM on Friday. I am sure it will be interesting, thought provoking and classy....it's from Adam after all.

Thanks for updating me. So being the always curious, I googled and a group of handsome lads appeared. So I can fully understand why your daughters are all googoo-gaga over them; but I really have not heard them sing. It seems they came in third on XFactor. As you know, I only listen to one and only one person sing! Yea you got it right! :)

I had a long speech of frustration about airplay for Adam's BTIKM , but I will just say this, Adam has worked hard, so therefore we must work harder! We, his fans, r his messengers!
I've always dreamed that maybe someone with a lot of $ wld buy an international radio station, a satellite network, a movie, a music production company , tours, etc., for our Adam! & all of his music, interviews, & movies would be aired!

Love the link to the comments from the UK radio people. The UK MUST come around this time! They all seem to like Adam a Lot. Hope it turns into more fans and more SALES! I'm such a worrier, but it makes me feel better to see the Adam-love out there. I think I worry a lot more than Adam does.

Are you aware that all these radio stations, don't play Adams music just for love of him. It was stated a couple of years ago, when his FYE album was out, that the stations have to be paid, around $800-$1,000. I don't know if RCA pays this, or more likely Adam does indierctly. In this world nothing is free, and RCA has many, many other stars trying to get radio play. ( hard to believe isn't it, cuz I thought it was only Adam trying for recognition, LOL)It's a really tough business, I am sure Adam has many $$$ into this album.

I have been listening to radio stations like Ryan Seacrest, in vain, hoping to hear BTIKM. I never listened to radio stations before(except ages ago)just Adam's music. I have heard WWFM in the past on the radio, but not often. Now I'm listening for Adam so often on the radio I think I'm getting brain-washed because I'm starting to like other artists!Yikes! I can understand how artists like Perry, GAGA, Clarkson get popular, listeners are brain-washed because that's all they hear on the radio. Can Adam Lambert ever have his chance?

Prolific Mom...you! My own Mom had 5 children, I'm the third sibling so I have an idea of what you go through! Which also means your music interests will be more varied because you'll be more or less coerced into listening to all your children's music other than Adam's. :)
