Good news some US radios started playing NCOE. I don't know if it has to do with GN Show or what. But you see UK fans made this happen for Adam to be on GN Show and with help of his publicist Adam performed. Fans active support of Adam paid off. Now how do we US fans can get him on SNL and Live with Kelly Ripa?

So glad @adamlambert had a big UK moment on Graham Norton tonight. He's been a talent for years who deserves success here.

Adam Lambert performing on The Graham Norton Show

Adam Lambert looked a world away from his usual glam rocker appearance as he donned a dapper grey suit as he performed on The Graham Norton Showlast night. Host Norton was obviously impressed with the American Idolrunner up, as after the recording he tweeted "@adamlambert you did a great job! Boy got lungs!! See you next time."

Adam was stunning as always. Always the pro! Hope this helps him reach success in the uk.
Loved Miriam but she hogged Adams time.
Loved will I am too. So charming.
Hope he helps promote Adam in the us.

Thank you glitzylady, that is pretty.

As for US tv, I'd love to see Adam get the Colbert Bump.

Just finished watching the entire GN show video. What a riot!! I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes. I loved the woman pointing out the overuse of"like" when people talk today and then Will i Am did exactly that as did Adam when he came on. Her story about the man in the tree was hilarious too. And Adam looked great, so streamlined in his grey jacket and pants. Did you notice those shoes? They looked exactly like the blue suede ones he had worn previously. His performance was so upbeat; he looked happy, smiling and having a good time on stage. Yes, Adam did have a big UK moment on the show.

Adam was a vision of class last night on the GN show. He looked "friggin fantastic". Who would have thought he cleaned up so well. Duh, we all knew it!!!

I have posted before that Adam should appear onthe Live with Kelly show. He could even be a co-host for that day. Adam certainly is articulate and smart enough to fill the co host's seat. Also, what about appearing on The View and The Talk as he did previously. I guess with his busy schedule and those concerts with Queen, Adam's time is very limited. And with these shows on vacation for the summer with repeats, it probably isn't the best time to get him on as a guest. But we can keep on trying and requesting.

#Norton Brilliant performance from ADAM LAMBERT. Truly an amazing vocalist and star. New single Never Close Our Eyes out July 8th.

Anonymous said...

Really liked that performance. I don't care about suits on Adam though. Not that he wouldn't look good wearing a suit, but it's not his personality or something.

Anonymous said...

the performance and jacket were great. kind of too bad the lady hogged all the conversation time when Adam came out and they cut the Queen mention. hopefully next time he will get a longer chat too. Promo is definitely going well in UK

Anonymous said...

Hahahah...That lady telling Adam and Will.I.Am the over use of "like". Everyone in Southern California uses it. Both Adam and Will.I.Am are from SoCal. Valley girls are famous for really over using it.

Anonymous said...

We can tweet @nbcsnl to try and get Adam on there. If we all do it maybe that would work.

Anonymous said...

Adam is STUNNING and the show looked like it was very fun. I'm assuming that on the live stream, we hear Adam talk about his Queen shows. I haven't listened to a live stream yet. Too bad the Queen comments didn't make the final show. It's important! I wish Adam had been able to talk more, but we take what we can get. He really nailed NCOE! Loved the clip of Map! It's a great sounding song! I pray that the UK buys the hell out of Trespassing. Adam on Kelly Ripa and SNL would be a dream come true!!!

Adam sounded great on GN so happy if he makes it big in the U.K. then maybe the U.S. will look stupid and start giving him the recognition he deserves! Q102 upped NCOE plays today so that is positive. 102.9 KDMX Dallas dropped the song after spinning for about a month but has it on the 5 at 5 countdown on the front page. Please try to request it there and maybe they will start spinning again also go to their mediabase form and write it in!

Anyhow!I wish Adam will relise that he needs to have two hot boys on background instead of two very fat ladies! They are rediculous! Whole band sounds fantastic! Wish Adam could afford to have them for tour,if he will have one.
Don't care if anybody will say that I'm mean about these girls. They don't match to the party!

You are such a pathetic idiot ASS indeed!! MORON!!!

WOAH!! FAB performance and Adam looked so FINE in that suit. He wears a suit like no other!! The backup singers were GREAT. I also wish that they could back him in the U.S. and everywhere else!!

"Map" reminds me a lot of "Outlaws of Love". So looking forward to receiving my copy of the UK version of "Trespassing".

Just because you disapprove of someone else's opinion, there's no need whatsoever to be so nasty. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, whether it's the same opinion as yours or not.

@Canadian

I don't know why you don't know that you are the one who should be out of Adam's circle.
You are an embarrassment to be considered a fan of Adam who represent love, peace and light.
I use to come here often but it was your snide remark to buy post that I avoided this site.
You are a troublemaker instead of a peacemaker.
Try practicing "Love thy neighbor."
Try to be like Adam, an enlightened soul.

I like Adam's UK band way better. He should somehow keep them. They sounded exactly like the studio track. Adam has incredible voice and should have a great band to compliment his gorgeous voice. Love The GN Show performance. He got tons of buzz on twitter from UK media people and regular people who didn't know who he is. Just like US not knowing who The Wanted or 1D are and now they are dominating US charts. Hope Adam does the same in UK and dominate their music charts.

Anonymous said...

Enough bickering everyone. Let's just enjoy the fact that Adam sounded amazing on a very big UK show, GNS! I kind of wish they didn't have to shorten NCOE tho .. but hope this gives him a big boost in the UK.

Anonymous said...

The GNShow was hilarious! I've never heard Will.i.am talk before...only sing. He has a real sense of humor.

Adam's performance was stellar and he looked drop dead gorgeous! I loved his suit...never saw a suit jacket so " edgy" looking. Leave it Adam to find something unique and fabulous. I wonder what he'll be wearing for the Queen concerts. I wish he had had more talk time but they were at the end of the show. He really enjoyed himself tho. He got a good plug for NCOE and Trespassing. Yay!!! Btw, when I watched the live stream earlier I didn't hear any mention of his upcoming gigs with Queen.

Adam should be on SNL as their live and musical guest. Arsenio Hall will soon have his own night show again. Adam can be on his show, maybe with Sam Sparro and Nile Rodgers to perform Shady. He can be on The View and The Talk shows. Perform on SYTYCD and XFactor US.

"I think a real hardcore fan is somebody that they get a lot of joy out of being a fan and being a support system for any artist and I owe my fans a lot. Because they go to bat for me. They stand up for me and they tell their friends about the album and they support everything. They get it. I love that, I love that I have this big family that I can create for. It feels good. Adam has been working so hard for months now and he's headed right back to London soon.
I want to send him a nic ecashmere blanket snd some herbal supplements for his air travel.
He needs someone to take care of him although he would probably just laugh at that notion.
He is so super fabulous!
And, I love his US back up singers. They are So powerful! Ill take the uk band though. Really super good and tight.
Adam deserves the very best!

Adam lambert is phenomenal! In every way!

Seems like that old lady took Adam's time to chat with the host for her to talk about masterbation story on tree. How inappropriate and rude! Like she didn't tell bunch of stories already.

Also, seems like they cut out part of his performance. Cause at one part of his performance he is holding the mic. stand and then the camera shows him at the middle of stage with mic. stand right behind him.

Other than that I think this UK band is perfect for Adam's amazing voice. I think this band is much better than his US band with back-up singers complimenting Adam's voice. Performance sounded just like his recording track. Just beautiful!

I do think that older lady seriously couldn't give up the spotlight and really should have. Adam was gracious to just go along with the flow. But really he should have been given the opportunity to speak a little. I was disappointed because I didn't have the chance to hear what Adam had to say.

Anonymous said...

I love this NCOE performance. Adam looks and sounds amazing and the band and backup singers are excellent. The performance sounds just like the studio version - superb!!

The woman on this show, British actress Miriam Margolyesv is gay (she describes herself as gay rather than a lesbian) and is in a 40+ year relationship with an Australian woman. She would like to become an Australian citizen. She was on a panel of an Australian show recently. She is Jewish.

Anonymous said...

@Canadian I didn't know that I can hurt somebodies' feelings so badly. Realy appriciated that you could express yourself.
However, I'm african-american size 2X 30years old woman. This is some info for your "bully" comment. Adam wants to give somebody chance to open the mind and talent. However, he can't afford(yet) to have these 2 girls on his back to make him look so rediculous. And this isn't only about Adam's background ladies.UK band is awesome.

I think if you really like a song you probably also want to hear it live the same way. Adam did different variations of the songs on his last tour, because fans complained about the FYE album. It will forever piss me off that he sang Aftermath only acoustic, because I really like the album version.

Anonymous said...

@12:13AM It wasn't an acoustic version even. It was much worst as a digitalizing version of After math.I still can't believe that Adam agreed to release this version of Aftermath. I know it wasn't single and never would be!

Anonymous said...

@12:13 AM .... people complained about the FYE album .... huh?!!! Adam's FYE album is SUPERB and so is his Trespassing album. I am one who likes his songs sung as per the studio versions but others like to hear him "change it up". I do like the Aftermath "digital" version and I love the album version as well, and I'm not one who is easy to please but not everyone likes the same songs.

Anonymous said...

I don't know why the US pocket band and the back up singers get so much support in this fandom. They have become larger than life. There were no such problem with the dancers.

Anonymous said...

I didn't mean the Acoustic Live cd. I was talking about glam nation tour when he sang acoustic Aftermath.

Anonymous said...

I remember very well that fans complained the FYE album was too overproduced. I guess he released the Acoustic Live because of that.

Anonymous said...

@12:33am

Good point.

Anonymous said...

The only issue I have with Adam's US backing vocalists is that they don't always sing in tune and that's not good for Adam.

Anonymous said...

We know the crays don't support the band members and singers because they play or sing in tune..

I hope Brits enjoyed this excellent performance. I'm still enjoying it!

Adam looked stunning on the Graham Norton show, and sang great, I too wish they hadn't shortened the song. Its normal for the musical guest to come over to the couch at the end of the programme and get a couple of minutes chat and stay and watch the stories from the big red chair. According to a twitlonger from someone in the audience, the performance was amazing in the studio, and he got a lot of love from the audience even though most of them were there for Will.I.am. And on the sofa him and Graham talked about the cd, and playing with Queen, which they obviously cut to put in the womans masturbating story...a bit peed off, she'd had her turn, those few minutes ahould have been Adams.
(by the way, in case anyone thinks she looks familiar, she played Professor sprout in the Harry Potter movies.)

as to @8.34pms comments, while they may not have been stated in the best way, I kind of agree with them, I much prefer the male back up singers, their voices blend with Adams much better, and they are 'background singers', I've thought at times the Va Jays jays are too loud, and not always on pitch.

Here's a snippet of Tommy's recent interview with Pressparty where he talks about his relationship with Adam.

"8. How has your relationship with Adam Lambert progressed – you’ve previously explained you’re as close as brothers – since you started out in the band? You have obvious chemistry and as musical unit you all seem so tight, how does this affect the dynamic when performing and touring together?

Since I auditioned, we just clicked. We talked music and movies and became close friends, and have just become closer over these past few years. We have a lot in common and neither of us are afraid to say what's on our minds. We're both pretty open with everyone, which is probably why we don't fight or argue at all.

We've been playing together for some time now! I like it because it feels really comfortable. He's a great entertainer and we both like to put on a good show. But, I think being friends definitely helps with the chemistry on stage because if you know who you're playing with, it makes it fun. All of us in the band are like a family so we look over at each other and crack up sometimes cause we kinda know what each other are thinking."

Anonymous said...

I need a "British comedy chat show" 'like' this one in my life... on daily basis! (with translation and all... or maybe not since I laughed to death just from as much as I've understood).

Mrs Margolyes is fascinating. According to our wiki-friend she "grew up in a Jewish family", is an "openly gay"... voice artist and played in Wicked! As it showed, she also has a great sense of humor. How about that! Oh yeah... and she recorded "a soft-porn audio". Well, she got my attention!

I thought WilliAm was hilarious and enjoyed the guests, but also was disappointed that Adam's talk time was taken up by the unecessary, not that funny masturbation story. She was entertaining, but wish she would have let Adam have that time. I loved the edgy, fashion forward suit, respectful of GN's show and Adam dressed appropiately for the occasion. He's a classy guy and the glitter and feathers were fun, but not where he's at now. We'll see the tank tops and sexy pants on tour and at outdoor festivals where they are appropriate for those venues. It will be hot at the Queen concerts and I'm sure he'll wear something sexy and right for the occasion. He seems to be gaining momentum and becoming noticed more in the UK. The Lambrits are doing their best like we are. I also hope to see Adam on more TV shows in the US. Thanks everyone for all of the links, especially the ones to vote. It's been taking much of my Adam time lately.

Chartshowtv was interviewing Adam today but also the kid Biebs. One of their tweets was about JB dueling top new CD release spot this week with UK's Cheryl Coles' album. I now realize why Adam had to push his CD release in the UK - probably to allow JB to get his out before. I hope that people WILL realize that Adam's album was finished way before JB's (apparently he has dubstep and electro in his as well as a similar cover to Adam's). I hope I'm wrong.

My, what a classy performance .... truly professional. Adam sounded fine and he looked a million dollars. He always knows what to wear when. And the band and backing singers were fab.

I like the two ladies, the V-Jay Jays, or whatever they are. I think they spice up Adam's performance and they have personality. I think Adam knows what he is doing.

Anonymous said...

Re: the backup singers. I think these fellas work better than the ladies, because they are not competing with Adam for the high notes. Adam's high notes (whether they be the powerful almighty ones or the delicate vulnerable ones) are one of his trademarks. Singing higher than Adam (if they can ;)could have the effect of adding irrelevant clutter to the powerful, dramatic notes--or drowning out his luscious delicate ones. Keep in mind, this is the man who gets ovations mid song for single spectacular notes!

There have also been times when the gals--singing with Adam--have caused the vocals to seem out of tune, muddled, and confusing to the point I even lost track of Adam's voice in the mix. (Remember the backup singer problem when he sang Crying on AI?). I've not heard good harmonies coming from the 3 of them (counting Adam--and he can do beautiful duets). This is not to take away from their voices; both women appear to have lovely soprano voices. I just think they are in too high of a range (or in too similar a range) to compliment Adam's voice. Maybe the problem is they are trying to come up with a way to get those other worldly harmonies Adam sings with himself! on the album into a live performance. The only way to do that, of course, would be to clone Adam :).

Also, when Adam improvises--another one of his trademarks and something I love (hope he sings some jazz one of these days--and way more blues), he needs backup singers who can ride with that.

Re: the band: He also needs band members who have played together enough or--more importantly--who are experienced & accomplished enough (like Nile Rodgers or Santana)--that they can read each other's minds, and Adam's--like Tommy described. The Fantasy Springs Whole Lotta Love is one of the best ever examples of this. Indeed, that entire group of musicians, to include Zack at the keys and Longeneux (sp?) Parsons on drums, is my personal favorite Adam band to date--next to Queen. The chemistry between Adam, Brian May, & Roger Taylor is amaaazing. It would be exciting to hear Queen & Adam do music other than just Queen material--or write new material together.

Because Adam is such an accomplished singer, the more accomplished the musicians are(the more they can hold their own with him & he with them)the more exciting the music is going to sound. They can push each other and feed off each other resulting in some thrilling, if not electrifying moments. How musical memories get made.

Kentucky Fan

P.S. The best backup singers for Adam might be an entire gospel choir ala Aretha Franklin ;)

P.S. I think people underestimate TommyJoeRatliff as a guitar player. The premiere performance of Adam singing NCOE with Tommy's rhythmic accoustic guitar is my favorite live perf. of that song to date.

Such a good boost from the UK! Adam killed it on The Graham Norton show. BUT, I agree, I wish he'd been allowed to talk longer. Is it true that on the live stream version we can hear him talking about singing with Queen, but that part didn't get included in the final show? Just what I heard. I want to see the live stream.

Sounds like Trespassing is doing well, but just wait till it's really released on July 9! Should do really well!

@DRG
I watched the Graham Norton show on the internet yesterday as it was broadcast..as a live stream..but not really, since it had already been taped.

I have "talked" to a couple of people in the UK (on Twitter) who were there at the taping of the show and they said Adam talked about the Queen gigs, his time with Wicked and being in the Ten Commandments, none of which made the broadcast show. I suppose the producers didn't think those topics were laugh worthy so cut them out. I thought the show was hilarious, but wished that Adam had not been cut off by the woman and her comments about him using "like".Grrr!! It had come up earlier and I thought it was rude of her to say that to him..and then that was the end of his ability to really say anything..at least anything we actually heard. I know its a show that is largely played for comedy, but I seriously thought she overstepped the boundaries there. She'd been on the whole show and was hilarious but give ADAM a chance to SPEAK for heavens sake! He is a VERY articulate speaker and to have her jump on him and take over the conversation yet again was not okay with me...

Oh well. The GOOD thing is, Adam did a fabulous job, sang beautifully, looked SOOOO handsome and was so well dressed in that fabulous suit!!! Just WOW!! So MANY positive comments coming out of the UK as a result of his appearance. Excellent UK exposure and since it will be shown in the US and other counties too (BBC America here in the US on June 30th..) , so MANY throughout the world can see what an amazing performer he is..And a class act as well. Always polite, even if others aren't polite to him. Oh, and his twitter followers are increasing by leaps and bounds.. Its all good!!

@ Glitzy & numerous others

This is the first time I've disagreed with you (Glitzy) for any reason on this site.

We must not blame Miriam for Adam's lack of TV time. Put the blame where it belongs, on the producers and director of the show who actually decide what will and what will not be shown. They cut Adam's part so that she had more air time. fini

Anonymous said...

June 22, 9:43

I cast my vote for Canadian to be gone. Indeed!

glitzylady said...

@Anon 2:47 PM ; )))
Actually, I DID put the majority of the blame on the PRODUCERS for Adam's lack TV time..because they cut out the other parts..in the interest of comedy, which is the focus of the show and I understand that. My comment about Miriam had to do with her interruption in the middle of what he was saying..It disrupted his train of thought and he never got it back..She just kept going..and was hilarious. So yes, I do have an issue with that..But that's because I love to hear ADAM speak..and its too bad his opportunities were limited. My comments stand. And again, I blame the producers for their editing of the show so that the Queen comments (and others) were cut. Important info re his career and relevant to the UK. Oh well. Its just the way it goes.

This is my comment about the producers decision re Adam's other comments..(From 1:41 PM):

"I have "talked" to a couple of people in the UK (on Twitter) who were there at the taping of the show and they said Adam talked about the Queen gigs, his time with Wicked and being in the Ten Commandments, none of which made the broadcast show. ---> I suppose the producers didn't think those topics were laugh worthy so cut them out."

Just my opinion and I'm sticking to it ; )))

@2:57PM

Nasty as nasty again on another thread. C has to look in the mirror because C accuses others of what C is guilty of. She doesn't seem to get it.

Let's be a bit more positive...
- Maybe they will show more of Adam when the show is shown in US?
- or maybe Graham N is saving something for later...

And let's remember that
- Adam's speaking time was very limited or non-existent on Letterman, Conan, Leno (minus that one time when they talked about pluckin etc, LOL) and Kimmel

And since it is ALL about HIS VOICE and MUSIC, the show was perfect for that with more than 3,7 mill viewers...YAY for ADAM!

Canadian was rude, but the person who called them "very fat ladies" was rude also. Their appearance should have nothing to do with it. I don't like the singers because I don't think they can sing well with Adam. They may be awesome as soloists, but, to me, they take away from Adam's singing.

Miriam has been a long time star in the UK, Adam is a newcomer who came on to plug his album. They treated him very well and he was charming, handsome and sang divinely. Now that Graham knows him, I'm betting he'll be back on the show as a main guest in the future. Don't worry, be happy!

I found it annoying when she said Adam shouldn't say "like."
Just let it go. Let him talk. He is smart and articulate. Oh bro.

I like the UK band much better. I think Tommy almost help ruin Adam's career and he needs to go.

Rudeness is rampant on this blog.
Comments about age and size remind me of the viral you tube of the kids insulting the school bus monitor we saw this past week.

Yes, I wonder where kids learn to be insensitive _________@8:34 PM?

I give up.

Wow. I did not realize the British sense of humor was so bizarre-o. Even Adam looked uncomfortable. Geez.

The other guy on the show, Greg (can't remember his surname) hardly got a word in either - a little more than Adam but not much. Oh well, the main thing is Adam sang for millions of people to hear and see.

Oh, well. At least the studio audience got to hear him talk about Queen, etc. Maybe next time.

British humor is usually very good but this humor was tacky and consumed Adam's interview time.

I'm not a fan of talk shows and the jokes hardly ever make me laugh. It was good enough for me that Adam could perform his single at this show. Nothing against the other guests either. I do like British humour a lot. They have good comedy sitcoms, though even them used to be more hilarious some decades ago.

Conan O'Brien has had the best jokes I think. He has made me laugh actually.

About this "like" correction, I actually made a comment on it, (another site) about 2 years ago. Adam was using it a little more than necessary and my intention then was not so much to correct him but it just caught my attention. The strangest thing was he actually stopped using it after that, a lot less; and it made me wonder if Adam read it or someone brought it to his attention. So now after 2 years, he said it so deliberately, it made think it was done on purpose, staged. Hey, maybe they used my idea! lol! I also pointed out the use of "kinda/kind of" or "kind of like". It was just observation, nothing more than that. Adam is an in-depth speaker; these are just the nuances. But he uses them very sparingly now and that made me conclude the whole thing was staged. I like Will.i.am, the most natural of them all. Miriam, also hilarious. And the pushing of the knob to make the talker fall back, soo funny. lol! :)

Loved the whole GN show and actually thought that the song cut was a good one - don't know why - maybe it was just that I wanted them to get on with the interviewing.

Actually love the UK back-up singers better. They are more complimentary than competitive. The way the first poster put it suggested that their appearance was reason enough. Wonder if that poster is good-looking enough to ba a Glambert? LOL.

Okay - about Tommy's interview: if the US band is a family then it's a little bit disfunctional, no? They've had almost 100% turnover. Adam is on his 4th keyboardist, 2nd drummer, 2nd bass play and 2nd lead guitar. (Yes I know Tommy just changed positions but he's the only one left.)

Gotta love the little guy but Adam was in theatre. A new family every time out and your "family" expands with every tour. People come and go. Always value the memories but always moving on. Friends are forever, business is business. Ya gotta do what you gotta do and Adam just did.

I think most talk shows have a general rule about not having the same guest in a single season. In September it's a new season and maybe Adam will be invited back by Ellen and Leno.

Adam and Tommy never fight or argue. He means that their relationship is better, because Adam and Sauli did have a fight. ;)

I don't think that we know all the actual reasons that Adam's drummer, guitarist and key board player left the original band. There have to be a number of reasons for this to happen. Also, the style of Adam's second album has changed musicallly so this may have figured into the changes and the addition of backup singers. I agree that at times the ladies are a bit too loud or off key,but with rehearsals and these mini concerts Adam is doing that should be ironed out along with those sound issues which are really annoying to him. I love the new album, NCOE, Adam's edgy sleek style with those suits(esp. the jackets)and the hair. But most of all I love his voice; he is the best vocal talent in music today and he did a great job on the GN show so the Brits now know who he is and he impressed everyone with his performance. I am sure they will be more impressed after his performances with Queen. Now all we need here is for the radio stations to play NCOE because it deserves to be heard on a daily basis.

I don't know why this is so hard to understand. The comings and goings of the musicians who have played with Adam. As stated by someone before, Adam is not a band, he does not have a group of people he supports whether they are playing or not. He hires musicians as he needs them. His first few keyboardists were in other bands, but were available at the needed time. Longineau was there while his band Yellowcard was on a break, Monte had played with Adam off and on during the before Idol years and was temp. free because Madonna was in the UK pretending to be British. Tommy, well, Tommy just needed a job and looked the part and he and Adam bonded over their love for the hedonistic film Velvet Goldmine, thus the subsequent kissy-face escapades. Have you seen that film? That's what Adam wanted to unrealistically bring back with GNT. A time long gone, sex, drugs and R & R.

Unless you are a band, Nickelback, Maroon 5, Queen, etc. musicians are the migrant workers of the music world. You come and go from job to job, hopefully trading up in prestige and money and someday finding a secure spot.

A shaky occupation.

7:19 are you really blaming Tommy for almost ruining Adam career? Tommy didn't grab Adam and kiss him. Where are you getting this?

Very well said. I do agree 100%.

I was disappointed. I usually like Miriam but felt she was out of line here. Because we didnt get the whole interview Adam came off as inarticulate (which we know is not true)It seemed to lose its momentum because of the cuts.
However on the positive side, he sang perfectly, got great exposure and looked 10/10.
