Everyone do yourself a favor and watch all of these. I love the interaction between the three of them at the end of the encore. FANTASTIC! Made me smile and cry at the same time! :)
These videos are great... thanks Suz.

I should be sleeping after all this is the fourth concert...Nope I'm awake watching again.

Love the medges and what a nice

Who Wants To Live Forever...the owner of this song is Adam. At this concert, much applause is directly for Adam, more so than the few previous concerts, though still very warm acceptance was given to him as well, there. He gave this song an appropriate theatrical slant. We can hear his opera voice...whoa! I still think of the heavenly outside empty stadium and the subsequent erupting inside stadium versions of this song; they tie in nicely together. I read Queen has added another concert (3rd). :)

@8:40pm Thank you for the links! I didn't know that Adam was nominated for Do Something Awards! I opened this link last week and was very upset because I coudn't find Adam's name their. Probably it was last year list!

It was altogether splendiferous, even if he didn't go for the high note at end of Who Wants to Live Forever.

Thanks for posting these so quick, Suz came through again- just great videos. Can't stop watching live forever and another bites the dust. I think we should get Adam on Dancing with the stars as well as idol. He is doing a fantastic job, I noticed he's gained at least 55 thousand new twitter fans from just a few weeks ago. It's all good, a steady climb up and up (except the us is at the bottom of that climb (a queen concert here would help alot I think. Oh well between getting nothing done again except my obsession with my computer I have been voting for best artist in between my video fixes.

And what was it the US Glamberts have been saying about the non

have been made of within the industry. Adam is crowned in all glory now! For all the bad UK promo work of last year, this takes it off the planet. Adam is a worldwide superstar! Fighting tears.

Suz, thanks so much for these wonderful vids. You're the best! While watching, I felt like I was right there in the audience. What can we say about our precious boy. Unbelievable performance! Just WOW!!! Roger and Brian were also great and you could tell they were having so much fun. Thank goodness the response at this first London gig was so positive -- I think a lot of Queen fans became Glamberts. I believe Saturday is going to be the best of the three seeing it's there last together. I have a feeling they're going to be sad that it's ending. BUT, who knows, maybe they'll continue; hopefully, in the states. That would be so awesome. Anyway, thanks again Suz! I can't wait to see the vids tomorrow and Saturday. JC

Yea, long longs indeed in super tight black leather! Now he looks like one of those dashing super heroes! Even those super heroes will be outshone by him; this super hero uses a different kind of weapon, one that aims directly at the heart! lol! He actually made Brian wipe tears with both hands and I guess it's the home audience effect as well. I think for Brian to hear Adam deliver his own written song with so much passion and his opera voice; it's really a dream come true for him. Brian is getting back what he gives away. Thanks! :)

You're alright...You're alright! Very well-done, really typical accent...lol! Reminds me of his theatre...In the, I Want To Break Free performance, he went to one corner of the stage and pointed at the people there as if he was having a conversation and telling them, singing...I've fallen in love...sooo cute. Adam sure is a stage pro! :)

You thought Eber looked so proud in a picture he tweeted in which he showed off Adam's Trespassing vinyl album, most likely to become this college deejay's most treasured of his collection. Now, remember when he learned that Adam's plan was to become a rock star, and Eber's reaction was: "A rock star? How is he going to become a rock star?" Dad needn't have worried. Tonight Adam has not only become a rock star, but a celebrated frontman for only the best band in rock history.
Many fathers must have fretted over a son having such a rocky ambition, especially for one yoked with a heavy societal stigma. Adam, however, was no ordinary boy. The Achilles heel that could have doomed him instead in time became the medges that he uses to strut on the stage for a band named Queen, appropriately enough. This latest chapter in Adam's young life has a delicious serendipity that if we had not witnessed it, we would swear we read it somewhere in a book writ by someone with a great sense of irony. That someone, like Adam's dad, must now be wearing a self-satisfied grin. atm

When I saw Adam with Queen on Idol, I prayed for this day. I didn't think it would come in my lifetime but the Universe hurried this great occasion for all of us "oldies" who knew without a doubt that Adam would eventually be called on to give this gift to Brian, Rodger and the world. He is simply breathtaking. Greedy as I am for more, I now wish that Brian and Rodger would work with the musical arrangements of some of Adam's future songs and/or include them in another QUEEN tour (in the U.S.???) with Adam. Are you listening guys??? :) Beverly

Here is another converted Queen fan after hearing Adam sing (don't know who said it but you get the point):

"I walked out beside a local guy who was ranting for everyone to hear how fucking incredible it was and that he expected it to be utter shit but it was fantastic and eons better than the 5 times he saw them with that shitty Paul rogers (who couldn't hit any of the high notes) and he can't wait to come back tomorrow.

he was seriously on cloud 9 he was so fucking impressed. he asked me about Adams own music and said he's going to buy his cd.

he said this topped the last 3 rock shows he's gone to. even better than Judas priest guys..... the look of elation and disbelief on this 40-something rocker/metalhead's face was wondrous."

JAK, Adam didn't do Show Must Go On. Brian did the audience sing along of it right before saying they wouldn't be there if it weren't for Adam and then he sang Love of My Life.
I think there was some wise planning going on by Brian and Roger in the set list. Freddie never sang TSMGO live and Brian has been singing Love of My Life to Freddie in concerts. I think we will see it sung by Adam in the second show.

Hi all,
I am still on a high from the concert last night. It was OMFG amazing.
I was pretty high up, but in the middle, so had a good clear view apart from when he went on the catwalk, so missed some of the bows at the end.
WWTLF was jawdropping, and my other favourite was Somebody to love, that was also out of this world, hell, who am I kidding, it was all amazing...
The love and respect flowing bwteen Adam, Roger and Brian especially was palpable, so touching to see, and they really looked like they were having fun. I think Adam actually teared up a couple of times near the end at the love coming from the audience.
I was a slittle disappointed (ok, more than a little) that he didn't sing TSMGO as that is such a high point for me. Brian sang the first verse of it on the acoustic guitar with the audience singing along very loudly, and it was very touching hearing all these Queen fans singing so loudlu, kind of admitting that indeed the show must go on, but I still wanted Adam to come out and sing it.....but we got fireworks during borap...which were pretty amazing in real life.
The audience were great, definitely a queen audience rather than an adam one, but they showed him an awful lot of love, singing along very loudly to all the songs, cheering, and on their feet all the time Adam was on stage. The energy sagged slightly when he was off stage, and most people sat down at that point, but the audience was still very appreciative.
The red Elmo jacket looked stunning in real life!
can't wait to do it all again tonight, this time from the mosh pit...

Newfie Duck said...

First let me say thanks to everyone who is sharing from the concert, Suz in particular. I don't know what type of camera you are using but I am IMPRESSED - very professional....you've missed your calling if this isn't what you do for a living.

I've been thinking how wonderful it would be if Brian and Roger were to give Adam the opportunity to sing one of his own songs before the tour ends, perhaps the last concert would be the ideal time. Since Tommy Joe is on his way, it would be a super thrill (for Tommy) to bring him on stage for the task as well.

It wouldn't detract from Queen as it could demonstrate Brian and Roger's love, respect and support of Adam not to mention their gratefulness to him for helping to keep their music alive.

Just a thought and dream!

Lyndsey Parker (Yahoo's Reality Rocks) Review of the First London Queen/Adam Lambert concert:

Queen + Adam Lambert Rock London With “Queenbert” Concert
By Lyndsey Parker | Reality Rocks – 1 hour 40 minutes ago
In July 2012, London history was made. An epic event like none other took over the city, with fanatics from around the globe journeying to the U.K. to witness a once-in-a-lifetime spectacle--so that one day they could boast to their grandchildren that they were there, in London, up in the bleachers, watching it all go down.
Oh, yeah--and the 2012 Summer Olympics happened in London in July, too.

Adam Lambert with Queen's Brian May in London
I kid, I kid. But seriously, folks, the three-night London concert residency by "Queenbert"--aka Britrock legends Queen with special guest Adam Lambert--was an undeniably major occasion, and it was a vocal Olympics of sorts, too. (Adam is the champion, my friends.) While Queen's previous post-Freddie Mercury frontman, Paul Rodgers of Free/Bad Company fame, was barely qualified for a bronze in this category (Paul's a great rawk singer, but his gruff and bloozy style and deadpan demeanor were no match for the operatic Queen catalog), Adam definitely earned himself a vocal gold medal during Queen's marathon 135-minute kickoff concert at London's Hammersmith Apollo on July 11. And he may have earned himself a place in the history books, for real.
It should be noted that this was NOT, necessarily, Adam's audience. Although an impressive number of dyed-in-the-leather Glamberts were in attendance, this was, for the most part, a Queen crowd (one that included celebrity spectators like Bob Geldof and Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi, yet). See, while Queen are massive the world over, it's in their native U.K. that they're revered as national treasures and true rock 'n' roll royalty, and where Adam is still a relatively unknown rising newcomer. (His sophomore album, Trespassing, which debuted at number one in the U.S. almost two months ago, only came out in Britain this week.) So the possibility of Adam not being accepted in this new frontman role--of being booed or bottled, or at least being labeled a poor man's Freddie--most definitely existed here. But not long after Queenbert strutted onstage to the dramatic intro strains of "Flash" (yes, they really did open with the Flash Gordon movie theme--has finer statement-of-intent entrance music ever been written?), it became obvious that Adam would soon practically be embraced as an honorary Brit.
The Queen fans endlessly hooted and hollered for Sir Lambert, and interestingly, they almost seemed anxious for his triumphant return whenever he left the stage for a requisite costume change. Many concertgoers even sat down during those intervals, and only hopped back on their feet when Adam reemerged wearing something even more unfathomably fabulous than his previous get-up. (His lush scarlet "Dragon Attack" jacket, which looked like it had been fashioned from the pelts of rare Elmo puppets, was a wardrobe highlight; perhaps the one disappointment of the entire evening was the sad fact that similar coats weren't available for sale at the Queen merch booth.)

Adam in fact seemed to become freer and happier and smilier and just plain awesome-er as the show went on, and as the outpouring of audience love continued unabated. So by the time he kicked off his platform boots to perform the rest of concert barefoot (platforms hurt, you know), he was as loose as an English goose.

Continued below...End Part 1

glitzylady said...

Continued Part 2:Lyndsey Parker review

The lovey-est lovefest, however, took place onstage between Adam and the Queen members themselves, particularly the magnificently druid-robed and silver-haired guitarist Brian May, who apparently is now Adam's BFF. The two were constantly cuddling up shoulder-to-shoulder, playing to each other, beaming moony-eyedly at each other, and singing one another's praises; there was some serious mutual-admiration-society stuff going on. Adam repeatedly bowed and curtsied to Brian in a most genteel and gentlemanly manner, and Brian regularly referred to Queen's guest singer as "Ladies and gentlemen, the incredible Adam Lambert!" and made lofty declarations like "If it weren't for the amazing Adam Lambert, none of us would be here." With ringing endorsements like that, it's no wonder London's Queen fans were so readily, enthusiastically accepting.
But it should be noted, this was not The Adam Lambert Show. Queen's Brian May and Roger Taylor (and even Roger's son Rufus, who played a second drum kit) still received top billing, and both of Queen's elder statesmen got their own turns at the mic. (And both sang so surprisingly well, especially Brian, it's a wonder they ever hired Paul Rodgers a few years ago in the first place.) Roger handled the David Bowie role in an "Under Pressure" duet with Adam, as well as lead vocals on "A Kind Of Magic," unexpectedly smoothly, and Brian was a natural-born frontman on "The Show Must Go On," "'39," and "Tie Your Mother Down."
However, it was when Brian and Roger saluted the late, great Freddie Mercury, with song, that there was a kind of magic onstage that brought tears to fans' eyes and goosebumps to their flesh. Roger crooning "These Are The Days Of Our Lives" while archival '70s Freddie footage screened behind him, and Brian performing a virtual "Love Of My Life" duet with Freddie (sort of like Tupac's hologram performance at Coachella, only more lo-fi and much more high-emotion), were moments that reminded everyone, once again, how truly amazing Freddie Mercury was, and how he can never, ever replaced.

And that was an important point, especially for any haters out there dismissing Adam with "He's no Freddie Mercury!" gripes. That much is true--he's not Freddie Mercury. HE'S ADAM LAMBERT--and that was clearly more than enough at the Apollo. Adam showed respect and deference for Queen and their large, looming legend throughout this concert (even emotionally "dueting" himself with Freddie's video-screened likeness on "Bohemian Rhapsody"), and he never came across as a Mercury impersonator. But still...when he led the adoring audience during a call-and-response chant on "Another One Bites The Dust" or the Live Aid-inspired synchronized hand-claps on "Radio Ga Ga," there was no doubt that he was a star in his own right. (Personal side note: I am thrilled to report that I can now cross "participate in 'Radio Ga Ga' clapping choreography at a Queen concert" off my bucket list. I'd been rehearsing those arm movements for years.)

By the time Queenbert's Olympian rock revue ended in a hot cloud of pyro smoke with (of course) "We Will Rock You"/"We Are The Champions," it was heart- and fist-pumping to see just how far Queen and Adam Lambert had come since they'd first memorably performed that medley on the "American Idol" Season 8 finale three years ago. Which begs the question: WHEN ARE QUEENBERT GOING TO PLAY AN AMERICAN CONCERT? They've rocked Kiev, Moscow, and Poland, and have two more sold-out London shows planned this week, but this should not be the end of their mini-world tour. The show must go on, because this show is simply awesome.

Adam did not sing The Show Must Go On at the London Performance. Perhaps they are trying to save his voice in the two back to back shows. Hopefully he will sing it (plus all the high notes in the other songs) during the last show.

It's official. Steven Tyler is leaving Idol for his first love, his band. Google Steven Tyler out of Idol.

I hope that these fabulous concerts with Queen make Adam realize that he IS a rocker and NOT a pop singer.

I also hope that the true Queen fans who have now become Adam fans who buy Trespassing are not disappointed.

When Adam finished singing Who Wants To Live Forever, written by Brian, and Brian wiped tears from his eyes with both hands, I started to cry. Brian, thanks for finding Adam. Adam, thanks for exceeding Brian's expectations.

THE FIRST PART OF DRAGON ATTACK WHEN ADAM DOES HIS STRUT AND DANCE IN HIS BEAUTIFUL RED JACKET IN HIS MEDGES -HIT REWIND OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE ADAM I LOVE SO MUCH !(we have the same taste in clothes haha)
Adam has so much going on, I could watch him with the mute button on all day (and pay for it!) But, of course, I wouldn't because then I would miss out on his voice of an angel and that would just never happen! God I love that man. The Fabulous One-Rock God Adam Lambert!

Sooo cute...Adam was showing the tear; I want to see a close-up of it! lol! :)
I mentioned this song...way back when there was talk about Adam performing with Queen and this has to happen on my favourite Queen song...another one of those unknown fly-in telepathic thoughts again. Mind-boggling...:)

I was in tears watching Adam sing...he is amazing. Queen is the best and Freddie died too young. I sat at the computer for two hours and it was the best two hours I've spent. As much as I like Queen, I rather see Adam as a solo artist. I think he likes to be in control.
