Whoa! I love this black/white Trespassing poster...Japan, specialist in black/whites. When I visited Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, I bought a few of their black/white Japanese two-flaps curtains. Wow! They have already booked Adam for next year! They love the late Michael Jackson a lot, so Adam may be their reminiscence. :)

Wow! Sooo excited for Adam's potential Grammy nominations...I bet this time round, Adam will be nominated for more than one category and a highly possible Grammy win...people are indeed opening their eyes wide! And must be gasping...oooh, look out for that dark horse gee-dee-uping from the rear! lol!

@daydreamin

So if Keisha Renee is touring with NM, she won't be backup singer for Adam on Oct.29 in Texas or Napa Vinyard nov.3?

I wonder if Adam is taking the whole band to South Africa for the 2 shows there? Boy it's getting hard to keep track of all these shows now! It's all good! Hope Adam is making some good money with all these gigs.

These are all great opportunities for Adam across the globe, but .... when will he get exposure in the US? Like promoting his song/album on Leno, Ellen, etc. After PLL, I don't see any gigs for him locally. Can't his label do something about this? What's up?

glitzylady said...

Napa is an acoustic gig as I recall.

Maybe just Reyna in Texas as backup or hire a temp...

Betting on the whole band for South Africa. Big gigs..so would be worth the expense of taking the band.

daydreamin said...

@CT it looks that way.

@Anon 10:44 PM
I'm with you, I would love to see Adam here in the US too. But, it seems to me that Adam's label is taking full advantage of the fact that Adam is popular internationally, which bodes very well for his future career, and as a result is a very good thing. He is getting some amazing opportunities. Its also very possible that he has concerts/gigs and who knows what else in the process but not announced yet. That could certainly include TV appearances here in the US, as well as concerts. Those appearances on Leno, Ellen, etc.. are often not announced until a couple of weeks before they air. So they could be happening. As much as I'm personally dying to see and hear Adam closer to home, I'm thrilled that he is doing well worldwide. His career is young yet..and I have every hope that he'll get more appreciation here with time.

Hmm, my crystal-ball antenna is signalling about the Grammys...he may be performing! With Bruno Mars...NCOE or on his own...hmm, lots of signals, lol! So back to black, spiky hair with a tinge of silver...lol! Oh, no hay problema with the blue suede shoes; the horses would have loved them; horses can be temperamental, like Adam, and me too. lol!

Adam is not a Dark Horse for me:)

He is the Unicorn that will outshine everyone at the Grammy if they let him step on that stage he!he!

They are just afraid that he will explode the place of his powerful voice indeed!

The world can't wait when the time comes Adam hit on that stage:)

Yes Japanese fans are really in love with our Rock God...

A dark horse is an unexpected winner...at the races; that's the connotation. At the Grammys, Adam is the dark horse because he has not won any major award on home soil. But as I alluded, this special dark horse is going to win...still not expected to, though, by many. But I have s strong feeling he might just swipe it this time...therefore the term, dark horse. :)

Adam is becoming a global superstar They just love him in Japan and all those concert dates seem to prove it. Obviously he has to take advantage of these international bookings if concert venues don't seem to be happening here at home(how sad). I hope he does actually get several Grammy nominations and it would be amazing if he did win one. A duet on the Grammy show with Bruno Mars....now that would be something special since they both sing live(no lip synching), look great and put on a great performance. So when is this Grammy show anyway? With all these international concerts, will Adam be here at home at that time? I would think so just to see him on the red carpet and then in the audience.

Anonymous said...

Please, please vote for AMA's nominations for Adam! Adam got to be recognized this time!

Anonymous said...

I heard that the Grammy nominations will be officially announced sometime in early November. So, it's fast approaching. I pray that Adam gets a nom. The album got rave reviews and also had the distinction of it going to #1 with Adam being openly gay. I know we don't like staying on the openly gay thing, but it IS and important distinction for Adam and for the album. It would really be something if the Grammy peeps honored that achievement by giving the album a nom. ANY Grammy recognition would be a real coup.

Adam is facing a real struggle int he U.S. market. We all know it. He's really building up a great international career. This gives him cred worldwide, but the U.S. market has yet to care. That door will unlock at some point. It has to. Adam is just too good for it not to happen. He just can't seem to break into American network TV. They are ignoring him. He can't even get on DWTS as a musical guest performer. Those highly-rated shows are perfect for his exposure, but he can't seem to land one of them. Guess you've got to be a multi-million seller to even get considered.

I see a tour in 2013 as something much different from what we expect, and far different from GNT. I see a tour with fewer dates, but in large population areas, so that the turn-out will more likely be large. I don't see him doing lots of dates in lots of smaller areas. Just my thoughts.

Go, Japan! You love him as much as we do!

Adam received one 2 years ago, so what are you talking about 8.26? He was nominated for WWFM. Sue

Seems to me Adam is starting to get more love here, he getting regonized as an amaizing live performer, concert wise. He does very well filling those concerts. abroad he doing fabulous, his music and concerts, I do no blame management one bit , for playing to his worldwide strong suits! You go where you can make a good living. You cannot eat awards , but do hope he nominated AGAIN, for regonition here. The other day probably same person are one of the trolls, said saw picture of Arizona concert so embarrassing no one was there, turns out big crowd biggest ever had, by the video that was an amaizing concert! They just throw in what ever they want to rain on our parade, some are people he threw off twitter, some mad there idol not doing as week. as Adam said when don 't but there name and talk this crap, they are just trying to make there selfs feel better for there uneventful life. My life not so hot right now, but I feel joy in Adam, who is a hard worker and just crazy talented. I honestly think little by little Adam will prevail, but if he never gets what he should here he going to get it in spades abroad! Love Adam alway's. Correction that was some mad there idol not doing as good. You got to put the work in, Adam works so hard! Sue

DRG, the trajectory of Adam's career seems to support your views, which increasingly proves how myopic the music industry is in the U.S. To our loss, a greater open-mindedness abroad that casts off the blinders to Adam's gifts is reaping the shows we should instead be getting. There, the outstanding quality of Adam's award-worthy sophomore album has not been lost, as it consistently occupies the top rungs of their industry charts.
With his recent rousing Arizona concert we see an Adam that surpassed even himself, so striking in its feel that it may have blasted through a glass ceiling for gay artists. Could Adam's U.S. appearances have shattered the industry's rules of engagement along with it, one that made album sales a prerequisite for ticket sales?
In the same way that "Whattaya Want From Me" made the appropriate cosmic statement for Adam at that juncture of his career, "Trespassing" now characterizes aptly how Adam is approaching an exclusive industry. His career was not to follow the star formula path. What we are getting instead is Adam deftly detouring the narrow-minded path to an open global freeway that is proving infinitely more exhilirating for its vastness and mystery. Who knows, America may finally come around to see the "light". When that happens, it will have been worth the self-imposed wait for our turn. atm

Anonymous said...

11:25, Love you post so much. Yes, Adam's path is definately not the typical one in pop music. He's taking detours all over the place, but enriching himself and our experience with him so much in the process. There is not a boring moment with following his fandom. Adam's world-wide connections should ultimately pay off.

DRG (Thanks for the support, fellow regulars. In whatever way I express myself about Adam, I just can't hold it all inside. I'm so grateful I have this site.)
