Hello everyone, I'm home safely from going thru another invasion of Tampa by bloodthirsty pirates.
(Well, thirsty pirates!) We are invaded every year on Gasparilla Day....commemorating a probably ficticious pirate who sailed the waters of Tampa Bay. It's an excuse for a flotilla of boats, businessmen in pirate garb half or fully drunk to throw beads from parade floats to children and women who 'flash' for extra plastic beads! This young lady would have collected plenty!

Ah, America and it's quaint traditions....I go for the boats, I love anything with sails. Yesterday a 3 million dollar replica of a War of 1812 cargo sailing ship came into Tampa Bay with cannons blazing in salute. I loved it!

Lots of great pics from Adam's birthday party. I am sure he had a great time with his friends and Sauli. It's great to be young and just go out to celebrate and have fun. I am much beyond that point at this stage in my life, but I do like to see people having a good time without getting drunk and sloppy. And as usual, Adam does look very hot and sexy.

Sounds like u and Adam were partying at the same time ...both having a flashing ...smashing good time.... The only thing I know about pirates is how hot Johnny Deep looked in those dread locks and eyeliner .... I'm really glad he waxes or shaves, I don't like hairy chests....which is a bit unfortunate as my DH has a very hairy chest!!

Pirate boats, as we know, were made of wood and when a large wave would hit the boat and make it shake, the Captain would yell "shiver me timbers" the timbers meaning the keel, masts and deck of the boat. It soon became a phrase used when a pirate was amazed or shocked by someone or something. I think Depp would say that of the young lady with the large bosom hoisted up on Adam's chest. GGPASS

The b-day party looked fun without being out of control. (I think Adam learned that lesson in Finland.) He knows there are always cameras around. I'll bet he and Sauli will be doing some celebrating of their own. Lord help me, my imagination is working over-time.

My dear husband took his hairy chest with him whe he died two years ago. I'd give anything to be able to lay next to him and comb my fingers through it again. Just be glad he's with you and hope it's for a long time, hairy chest or not.

He could find someone who doesn't mind that his chest is hairy if he thinks you are too offput by it.

I'm in Rome right now with the CHIC girls doing a TV show for RAI, but as some of you have seen, I am in full Gala mode.

My foundation, the We Are Family Foundation, holds a yearly Celebration Gala and we honor very special people that do great things for others. We've honored Quincy Jones, Dr. Maya Angelou, Paul Simon, Sir Elton John and many others in the past years.

This year, we're excited to honor Dr. Jeni Stepanek, Ph.D., Daniel H. Stern and Adam Lambert. It's going to be a great night, followed by a concert with my band CHIC and Adam, and some very special guests.

Probably the coolest thing about my work with Adam Lambert is that it was born right in front of everyone. It was early last year that Adam and Sam Sparro were working on a track together, and tweeted how cool it would be to have me play guitar on it. A few fan re-tweets later and the 3 of us were talking about how to make it happen, and it did.

Two weeks ago, my foundation and I announced that we would be honoring Adam Lambert, and that we'd be performing together. Now we're confirming Sam Sparro to the show, and yes… we will most certainly be performing "Shady" together live, for the first time ever.

This was already a pretty unique event, and even more-so now. I am truly humbled and thankful for how this gala has evolved from a cancelled event (due to Hurricane Sandy) to what promises to be a most memorable experience.

For those of you that can make it, we're going to have A Magical Night!

Just checked AO and they have a link to an article about Adam's "firsts" in China. He has really been a groundbreaker over there.

I keep remembering that Adam has been the only Idol alum to SOLO tour world-wide in support of his first album. He is a solo act. He is not part of a packaged entourage that tours together. I wonder if any other Idol alum will ever do a solo tour to support their first album. I wonder if any other Idol will be such a breakthrough artist across the world. I realize that my previous post had some snark, but I cannot imagine P2 (nice guy with a big hit) will become a world-wide solo artist or become the "first artist" to do something. I just love seeing how special Adam truly is.
