Angie has found a music / singing soulmate, it may not have dawned on her pertinently yet. Adam and Angie's voices gel very well; it's not easy for that to happen, even with two powerful voices. But I think a large part is due to Adam's skill which is quite visible, when he gently or strongly whichever is needed, to seep into Angie's powerful soprano. I was quite taken aback, glancing from side to side at times to see who was singing which part of the harmony because they were so much in unison. But my ears were on high alert to catch Adam's subtle tenor vibrato.

Angie is just starting, Adam has lots of success already under his belt ... and we witnessed two SUPERSTARS on that Idol stage Thursday night just KILLING it!

It WAS the best performance of the night. Can't wait for more.

Just a few comments. Angie will be the one who will make it as a STAR. The winner and runner up do not have any IT factors. Adam will always and forever be the KING of American Idol. He radiated the IT factor from day one.

I know I'm a bit (read ALOT) prejudiced, but that was the BEST duet I have ever heard in my entire life..and I'm not a young kid anymore...I think A & A should record something together...however, I do not believe this altogether too short version of Titanium could EVER be repeated..

@laura, one Superstar on stage and that was Adam. Angie still has a ways to go before the word "superstar" is attached to her name. I'm glad she's jumping on Adam's bandwagon now because her personal idol let her down by over singing her and promoting herself.

The key word here to describe their amazing duet was "LIVE". They just killed it. Then you have Mariah pre-recording her songs and probably lip synching to all or some of it on a show that focuses on "live" performances. Disappointed that Keith also pre-recorded his new song. He usually does a great job during his live performances. And JLO's number was all glitz, gyrating dancers and nothing special. Did she sing live? So as you can tell, the best part of the finale for me was the Adam/Angie duet. He let her shine on that stage and held back just enough of his powerful voice to create a beautiful harmony. Would love to see Adam record a duet with another artist for his new album or have someone ask him to perform with them on their album(PINK, ChristinaA,etc.).

I think Angie will realize more and more how valuable it was for her to sing her duet with Adam. The media feedback is outstanding. The media is not talkign so much her duet with Jesse J, but they are talking about her duet with Adam as the best one of the night. I think it's dawning on her the importance of what she did on that stage with him.

As for Adam's jacket, the boy don't dress cheap.

Angie will hopefully make money for the label. She's more appealing to the younger set and young enough to be moulded in management hands. Adam gracefully took the stage, kept on back burner and lent he's form of brilliance to the very short duet performance. Angie comes across as the American girl next door so we'll wait and see how international her appeal becomes.

That he is indeed! Someone told me they didn't even recognise Adam on AI and they had to look twice because he usually wore makeup and feathers! Ha! Adam toned down to the max for the duet and obviously did it well. By now coast to coast should be paying attention to Adam again. Damn bring back the makeup and feathers!

I think that all of us who have been Adam's fans know what a genuinely nice guy he is. Everyone who works with him has the exact same thing to say. He was the perfect duet partner for her. Adam looked so good, just right for that song. I liked the makeup, glitz,etc. for the Glam Nation tour, but maybe Adam is looking to change his style/look for this new album. He is like a chameleon, always changing and keeps us wanting to see what comes next. Maybe Adam will gain some new fans after his performance with Angie on the Idol finale and people realize what a powerful singer he really is.

I watched Keith Urban's interview yesterday and he said that it's amazing that Idol gives a chance to talents without any band or microphone to audition and make it big at the end.

But then only handful of these hopefuls made it big. I wish Angie all the best. She is up against her likes in the industry. Swift, Cyrus, Lovato, Gomez, etc.

Did you notice in all those great articles about the duet that Adam was not referred to as the "gay" Adam Lambert? He was just a remarkably talented artist, a generous partner and an amazing performer. Looks like the media is finally catching on to his truly admirable qualities.

I don't get the fans who don't like Adam dueting with a woman. It does not make him less gay. It is the same fans who hate Adam being in a real gay relationship too, because it ruins their fantasy. Of course they did write a Tommy/Adam/Angie fanfic eventually. That's their contribution to the fandom.

Glitzylady, I don't follow anyone on twitter. I just surf there to get info. I pretty much know who's who in the fandom. I occasionally stalk the T crays, because I think the fanfic is kind of like a new method of mind control..

I really hope you come back to this thread to read here again BECAUSE I WANT TO SAY THANK YOU FOR YOUR POST. 'Ya know, I hadn't even thought of that (which that in and of itself is kinda cool, right?! :)!!). Thank so much for opening my eyes to that fact!

Many of his truly admirable qualities (as they were called in 12:21 post) have a lot to do with the fact that he is gay and I celebrate them and love him & his persona from the bottom of my heart!
