One week seems more than reasonable.

After the ecstasy of the announcement of Adam joining GLEE, the death of Cory was truly a shock.
May the writers' come up with a good storyline for Cory's absence and Adam's appearance on the show.
God bless Cory's soul.

Adam just can't seem to win!!! :-(

I read that Adam has been talking with Ryan Murphy about the possible roles Adam could play in Glee S5. That sounds really open-minded and also respectful of Adam's expertise as a theatre person. Yes perhaps get Adam to sing a tribute song to honour Cory Monteith. Adam's voice and passion will come through. Also let Adam dance and throw in some comic skits as well, he's sooo funny. Reminds me of Adam crying under the piano and pounding herbs to spray-mist his throat and subsequently splinter the glass bulbs of the chandelier. lol! If you need a name for Adam...hmm what about Phantom, oooh-la-la, mystic and sexy. lol! Just like on Diva and PLL, he was really good in both instances. This Glee stint may kick-start a long awaited Adam movie.

Despite the tragic news of Cory's death, I do think of the realities of life. Adam got this opportunity to be on Glee and he took it. It will give him good TV exposure and hopefully expand his career. The Glee job IS a good break for him. This does not diminish the sad death of Cory. It's simply life as it plays out. I hope Adam's time on Glee furthers his career. And I hope that Cory's death makes some people think twice about drug abuse. It's a delicate balance between the happy and the sad.

3:54, one week delay after your boyfriend or close coworker unexpectedly dies? Hope someone is "more than reasonable" to you when there is a tragedy in your life.

8:52 We only get 3 days bereavement for immediate family where I work, sad but that's the workplace/business.

On one of the entertainment news they showed bunch of shows in the past that faced the same type of tragedy and the shows went on. I hope Adam's presence change things up in that show for better.

9:57, I hope you aren't saying because you only get three days that is all anybody should get.
Where I work one of our coworkers died unexpectedly and they closed the business for the entire day of the funeral.

I've heard some folk say they won't watch Glee anymore now that Cory is no longer in it which is very sad no matter which way you look at it. Hopefully these people are few and far between.

Can't Let You Go, a bonus track on FYE would be a good song for a memorial type song for Cory. RIP

Actually I bet lots of people will watch the first new episodes to see how they handle the death on the show. The writers need to have a good storyline for the new season including new characters like adam to keep people interested in continuing to watch.

where I work you only get a few days for berevement, depending on the relationsip to yourself, and if you want, or need, more time, you have to use vacay or not get paid..Glee employs many people who must be considered...by the time they start shooting, the cast members will have had sufficient time to grieve..life goes on..maybe Adam should sing.."The Show Must Go On" in honor to Cory..

YES!!!! the Show must go on!!!! Would be great. Elton John sang it at the Freddie mercury tribute concert.

Adam should have no connection with the possible tributes to Cory, he was not part of the Glee family and I think fans would consider it intrusive, and might turn them against him.
I don't know how the writers will handle this situation, I wish them luck pleasing the fans. Maybe Adam will not appear in that first show, I think that would be best. -o-

About some folks not watching Glee because they will miss Cory's presence are only the fans of Cory.
I was shocked and still saddened by his passing away but I always thought that Cory was the odd one out from the Glee pack especially in his lack of dancing talent. But I admire how the creator, producer and vocal coaches made him blend with the rest of the characters even his voice is not something to rave about.
I do pray for his soul.

I think one episode to pay tribute to Cory and next one for them to sing Show Must Go On with Adam appearing towards the ending part of the song. In a way the show introducing him as a new cast member.

Forget The Show Must Go On that's a terrible morbid idea.

"We're really sorry he's dead, but the show must go on, oh and by the way -look who we have now - Adam Lambert!"

Tasteless.-o-

I hope people don't think Adam was hired to replace Cory or Cory's spot on the show. That would be so unfair to both. Something should be put out by Glee that Adam was hired prior to Cory's death.
