Now 2013 and all the happiness that seems to be coming Adam's way; he seems to be reveling in all the love and excitement; on to another phase of his life. I believe he will find love again when the time is right; in the meantime, he is growing as a person and seems to be enjoying life to the fullest. Love you Adam.

LOL @ all the excitement for Adam. Avicii has another hit. Avicii lines his pockets again. Avicii gets all the recognition. Avicii gets all the credit. Adam gets a small cut & a few mentions on a few websites. Whoohooo. It's still Avicii's song on Avicii's album. And will be addressed as such.
It will be playing on the dancefloors & no one will give a shit. It's good to dance to.
Whoohoo.

There is some truth to what 4:12 says. Can Adam use this song on his own, say in a concert, or only Avicii can do concerts with it. I am not sure just how this track can be used. On radio of course, and if you buy it on I-tunes. For a concert will the 3 of them have to be there? Seems like for recognition Adam will have to do a whole album, with Nile and Avicii.

5:19, Adam can perform it by himself if he wants, he would just need to figure out how to adapt it to that situation such as use just a backing track.

So, Avicii is thrilled at the excitement LMD has generated, and he says it is his favorite song on the album. And he says he loves Adam's voice! With all this LMD buzz, it just HAS to be the third single. So glad to hear that it's #1 all over the place. Avicii must be thrilled with Adam.

BTW, Avicii and Adam WOULD make a cute couple. LOL!

This is a very good Friday the 13th!

DRG (Glamhopper and proud of it.)

glitzylady said...

I think an important thing to consider: in spite of the fact that this is Avicii's song, Adam is getting LOTS of media PR with "Lay Me Down" and assuming it continues to get that attention, and ultimately radio/club/Avicii concert play, literally millions will be intrigued by him and many will seek out his own music, both past and future. Avicii himself is telling everyone who sings on the track. so don't tell me that "no one will know" baloney. Perfect publicity for Adam in advance. And yes, he WILL put out new music :))

Anonymous said...

Adam numerous times said we tend to look way into the future base our thinking on things we really don't have a full picture. Only Adam and his team know everything. As fans we just have to support him and that's what we are doing. Just supporting him with contribution of his voice and co-writting the lyrics. Avicii is huge among young crowds. Young crowds tend to share new music on social media in matter of no time. If he gets to sell millions of his album and LMD track. Adam will get his cut which in my book its good business.

Anonymous said...

Current itunes charts..Lay Me Down is #1 in Finland,#23 in Sweden,#55 in Norway,#65 in New Zealand,#72 in Netherlands,#94 in Austria. These are the overall top 100 downloads. It has been rising in all countries mentioned btw. Great news y'all.

Anonymous said...

After all the initial hype, when LMD is played as just another track on the dancefloor, no one will know or care who is singing that song. It's not going to be THE breakout hit for Adam. It's just going to be another DJ track for Avicci & clubs to spin.
I want the best for Adam. I'm just a realist. Everyone who showed this same excitement at all the hype for Trespassing were ultimately let down. Some people just never learn. If & when Adam puts out his own song that gets this much hype AND is played on the radio, then I'll get excited. I live in the real world.
You all may now carry on with your tea party.
Oh, & PS: GL: I'm not telling YOU anything. Unlike most of the clueless sods here, I don't put you on a pedestal. Don't think I've seen you post on any other site. Could be because most of them are equal & don't need to feel superior. You've certainly picked the right place;)

Anonymous said...

Oh let the lil glam hoppers have their fun. I agree this is just another in a stream of random things he is doing, and will not have any significant effect on his career. Avicii fans are not going to be so wowed that they bother to check out Adams music, lol, or even know who sings the track. But it's a nice extra song for fans to have.

@ 8:27

I am one of the morons and clueless sods that you called Adams fans, on all three of your stupid posts. There is no way that there could be more than one of such a sick sad person I just will not believe that. First of all you are totally lying, I will even go out on a limb and say, that you are not a fan; and surprise, surprise, you donot want the best for Adam. So jealous; it is eating you up isn't it. Also, you are not a realist as you claim. If you were, you know that right now; here in the present; which is all we really have; and in this present moment Adam Lamberts's acomplishments are causing so much wonderful excitement all over the world. We don't even know if we will be here tomorrow; So intelligent one, you need to live in the now; And in the now I am so excited and I just can't hide it. It is a fool who won't enjoy the present and only sit around predicting gloom and doom. Don't be stupid, people get together with other artist all the time. Are you not just overjoyed[ that in the here and now, Adam is getting all this acclaim. Try and live for today, enjoy today. Be happy for Adam today. Sorry, you can't put a damper on this show. Calling people "Cluless Sods" what are you a deminished little witch. Did Adam hurt your feelings by not answering a tweet. Did he not care about someone you wanted him to. What did this beautiful, talented young man do to ruffle your crazy feathers. Please try to relax before your little brain explodes. You are not fooling anyone. Calling Adams fans all these creepy names is not cool; so yesterday. It is almost as if you crawled out of some swamp; so bitter in your hate for Adam. The hate is probably pouring out of every pore of your hateful body everytime you hear of something else wonderful happening for him.

You better jump on board while there is still time to save your pitiful soul from this hate eating you alive. Plese stop posting all over the place that there are people supporting you; I can't believe those other crazy Adam haters are anyone but, you. If there are; this is for them too.

I thank the universe for our dear Adam, he just gets better and better. There is no end to the wonderful things that will be happening for him. The world is finally finding out what we already know. I am over the moon.

Have a great night fellow Glamhoppers. No one can stop Adam now. Happy days ahead. Stay excited.

@ Glamberts aka Glamhoppers..........JAK here

What @ 7:30 P.M. doesn't realize is we are not pining to be realists at the moment. We are hop hop hopping all over the place with big happy smiles on our faces. Real life is suspended for the moment, this is a glimpse of our dream, our fantasy, our happily ever after.
Don't let anyone spoil it! Real life shouldn't intrude at this point in time.

..........This is a happy moment for us, no one can mess it up.
7:30 says they are just a realist and lives in the real world. Well, so do we all and it's rather grim at the moment. We are taking a break to renew our spirit, to laugh together and have fun. That's part of real life too.
..........We are not expecting Adam to be immediately catapulted into instant stardom by being featured on this
single song, but right now we're HIGH and it feels good.

Anonymous said...

Me too. Goodnight. Sweet Adam dreams.

Anonymous said...

How do we make these naysayers who are like dark clouds obscuring the sun light to go away? Just leave us alone and let Adam and his team with support of his fans to sort things out. We want the best things in the world for Adam and this is how we would like to deal with it to keep Adam current and relevant in this complex entertainment world. If you think you have better ideas to promote Adam then cough up couple of millions of dollars to Adam to make a new album and eventual world tour.

Anonymous said...

@at 9:56 PM

Amen. You cannot reason with people that come with an agenda of hate and pretend they are fans. A waste of time.

Anonymous said...

@9:56 I agree.

Anonymous said...

No one knows who sings LMD? What century do you live in? Just google Adam Lambert Lay Me Down, or Avicii Lay Me Down, hopefully you know how to read numbers, there are millions of hit results. Meaning people with their smart phones or other Internet connection devices searched who is singing this track.

BTW besides your reality of putting down everything Adam, what are the things that you would like Adam to do or us to do to make Adam an ICON if you are a fan?

Anonymous said...

I love @JAK @Glitzylady and other Glamhoppers.

@Anon 7:30 PM
I post on other sites, but probably none that you post on. The "realistic" ones. Not that I would know which ones you refer to or who you are, because you post here as an "anon" which gives you the ability to say whatever wish about me, to me, and about Adam or anyone else. Including the poor "clueless sods" that you so lovingly refer to: those other Adam fans who post here, many of whom share the joy and feelings of excitement that I do about Adam's association with Avicii (and Nile Rogers) and Adam's potential for further success in the coming years. And as an "Anon" poster, you do that without any fear of being singled out or identified yourself, by "name". Very brave indeed. No one here puts me on a pedestal. Sheesh.. And I have my worries and concerns and frustrations, and yes, my reality-based thoughts, about him.. But what's the point of putting those out there, when we have something positive and exciting to celebrate here, today....

I often post on public (non-fan) sites with my "real world" name as well. Because I own and stand by my thoughts, whether you or anyone else agrees with me. Feel free to to disagree all you want to. I choose to be optimistic about Adam's future as a singer/actor/whatever... I'm excited about the possibilities. And I'm happy for Adam. Is there something intrinsically wrong with that?? Especially those happy thoughts being expressed here on an Adam Lambert fan blog??? Where BETTER to do that than here???

Speaking of that, we are all "equal" here, just like the "other" sites you refer to..we are free to express whatever thoughts (good, bad, indifferent..) that we may have about Adam, his career, his friends, family, boyfriends...the weather...the state of the world...and whatever other random thoughts that pop into our heads...because the administrator chooses to let everyone have their say. Good or bad or in between, that's the way 24/7 works. So feel free....

glitzylady said...

And by the way, I don't have time to post on many other sites... I have a life.... :)))

Anonymous said...

My my little glamhoppers. How irate we get when someone comes along and throws in a little taste of the real world down your rabbit hole. Although it does seem at least one of you has the sense to say you're not living in reality, and prefer to escape to your dream world for a while, and the rest of you didn't even notice.
When all the hoopla with this song dies down and Adam is still not on the lips of every Avicii fan and club kid on the dance floor, it will be interesting to see what other project you will set your delusions on.
I'll grab the popcorn;)

Dude/babe you need help seriously! This need or urge to create negativity out of the positive isn't normal.
Please go see a shrink;I am dead serious.

Anonymous said...

@12:03am said: "Adam is still not on the lips of every Avicii fan and club kid on the dance floor"

Our intention isn't for instant superstardom. Our main intention is to support Adam so his name stays relevant and current in entertainment business and move up the ladder. Also to see him happy for who he really is. Not to box him you know. Keeping it real. If the song becomes a single and goes viral for the better. Other than that we love him no matter what and be his back support.

Anonymous said...

I love @Lam-my too. She is always positive and supports Adam every time he goes to Singapore. Very supportive Glamhopper. Enjoy her posts too.

Anonymous said...

7:30 and 8pm have valid points. Some of the fans here have turned this into another OMG this will bring Adam instantaneous world wide domination!! That is unlikely to be the outcome here. It is great exposure for Adam and surely some Avicci fans will become Adam fans. But ultimately Adam doesn't make EDM and House music and Avicii fans are unlikely to switch genres of they type of music they typically listen to as most of us are unlikely to start buying EDM/House music now. In the meantime we do get to enjoy a new song with Adam's vocals and enjoy seeing the song get so many positive reviews. With a huge amount of luck it could crossover like Levels did.

glitzlady has been put up on some sort of pedestal and does seem to love the attention and endowing us with her wisdom and replying to trolls. I just scroll like I do over some other posts. Posting anon does not make our opinions any less valid. And if glitzy doesn't like it she should get her close Admin pal to change the log in.

tl;dr, there is more than one realistic Adam fan here. We wish the best for him but don't have magical thinking that then crashes after every overhype.

Anonymous said...

Exactly. I like the song. I am happy it made aviciis album considering he recorded something like 30 or 40 songs. i felt happy seeing people excited to hear it playing on the radio.

But then some fans are so completely delusional thinking it is the same as if it were Adams own song, and spinning this into adam getting a Grammy and millions of avicii fans all goggling to see who is singing the track and falling in love with adam. Omg lol. These crazy expectations ruin it for me.

Anonymous said...

2:30, this fandom is scary sometimes, holding hands with you :) from 2:09

JAK here.....spouting off to the Realists.....Do you guys dread holidays too? Do you live a realistic life of saying "well I'm not going to get excited about Thanksgiving because the turkey might be too dry or tough, the kids are going to be noisy and Uncle Carl will probably fall asleep at the table again and snore."

Ditto at Christmas plus " I doubt I'll get any gifts I like or that fit. The house will be a mess. Everybody is going to expect a hug. Damn. Aunt Edna smells like Ben Gay or Vicks.....hasn't she heard of Chanel?

I feel sorry for people who don't have crazy delirious expectations. Isn't life pretty grim that way? Living with no expectations so you won't ever be disappointed?
I am a pessimist married to an optimist but thank God I let myself go in wild flights of fancy, when I see a rainbow it lifts my heart and renews my spirit, all the while knowing the science of how it was created.

We are not truly delusional, we're hopeful, we are enjoying the freedom of soaring on occasion, we know we must return to Earth and pay bills and deal with medical problems and disappointment. I know my days are numbered but I'm not going to sit out those days I'm gonna soar, learn new things, expect the impossible, be open to miracles and build castles in my imagination and move in. It makes my life fun. I am glad I raised children who know how to make their lives fun by sprinkling a pinch of fairy dust on reality.

Adam may never get a Grammy an Emmy a Tony an Oscar...so what, many of the greats haven't. We won't crash in despair. He may not be a chart topper but that won't mean he isn't deserving. He is probably not THE best singer in the whole world, but at this moment he's the best singer in my world. That's good enough for me.

Anonymous said...

Now I promise to go away and not say another word....
..........on this thread anyway!....JAK

Anonymous said...

JAK, that is not the definition of a realist and you know it. You are misunderstanding what we are saying about there being a middle ground and reasonable expectations. It's like you and others are saying at Thanksgiving, oh Oprah and Adam will surely drop by for some of that pumpkin pie and whipped cream that has no calories. And at Christmas I will be getting that brand new shiny sports car and the Hope diamond for gifts. See the area between that scenario and your negative outlook holidays? That's the realistic middle ground. That is were I celebrate getting to hear a new song with Adam's vocals and all the great reviews but where I don't expect his vocals on some other artist's EDM song to launch Adam into world wide fame and adoration. Get the difference yet?

Anonymous said...

@7:37am we are excited about anything Adam does. Maybe some get more excited than others and want awards or other top accolades for Adam. We like to stay positive and expect great things for Adam. We are fans. Fan comes from fanatic. There are tons of avenues to get recognition in a business that there is no blue book for it. One is to collaborate with other artists in the business. That's what most of them do. Even Eminem being highest selling artist does this. You have to be able to network in order to get anywhere and thank God that's another thing that Adam is an expert. He is a social butterfly, articulate, smart and knows how to connect and communicate well to move himself up the entertainment ladder. We just love him for everything he does and try to stay positive and sometimes go over the board in positive manner.

Anonymous said...

8:21 Thanks for a wise post. We have a right to get excited and when someone says be realistic, its like they are stomping on our joy. We get realism daily.

7:37 You know that JAK was exaggerating a point in a humorous manner, just as you did in your post. We recognize that we live in a middle ground, but don't you ever want to let go and just be happy? Sometimes our middle is not so much fun and we need to escape it for a while. Can't you just let us go overboard as 8:21 said? We are not hurting anyone.
We will let you feel what you want to, let us feel what we want. Jessie

glitzylady said...

Wow.

Look, I don't think Adam is going to suddenly "dominate the world" because of this one song. I doubt very much that he ever will "dominate the world", to be honest. I have NEVER personally said he would. I'm not delusional, never have been. My life is real, my flailing for whatever Adam accomplishes IS reality based. But if others want to believe that this song can bring Adam additional worldwide recognition (not domination....), even for just a little while, so what. Why does that have any real (negative) effect on your life as a fan..

The majority of fans who post here seem reasonable and are here because they wish to be supportive of Adam, each in their own way. We also come here to freely share new info about him and discuss that info. Fans of ANY singer etc.. get excited (and sometimes over the top excited..) when something good happens to or for whomever they support. No different with Adam Lambert fans. Many of us have been with Adam through the ups and downs of the past 4 plus years. It hasn't all been fun and games. As we know. Sometimes it's been downright difficult to deal with. Realistically speaking. For either Adam or his fans. This collaboration with Avicii and Nile Rogers is certainly flail-worthy, if even for just a little while.

I love and support Adam in my own little ways because I like the guy and recognize his obvious talent and I appreciate him for who he is. Freckles (which I love, BTW) and all. What I DID say above is that he COULD potentially have his name (and perhaps his own music along the way) exposed to millions of potential new fans IF (and I repeat IF) this song continues to get the recognition it seems to be getting now AND it is POSSIBLE that it COULD end up being played on the radio just like Wake Me Up is being played world wide now. Add that to being played, and prominently placed/highlighted, at Avicii concerts, also worldwide, more exposure potential. Who really knows what the outcome will be, but give us our moment to be excited. If that doesn't pan out, at least it was fun to imagine the possibilities.....

I know his name isn't listed on the CD as a vocalist (but he does get credit as a writer...not that most people read the fine print on the CD booklet). And I also know that most people these days just download music, and frequently just the tracks they wish to hear. Physical CD's are on their way out. I don't live in a cave. I often do the same myself. If I hear a song I like, anywhere from any source, I download it from iTunes.

Avicii seems to be announcing Adam's name at concerts right now. Hopefully that will continue. And hopefully some will hear it over the noise that goes on at his concerts.... And I also would make a guess that not all Avicii fans ONLY listen to EDM.

The "realistic" fans that come here to ridicule and reprimand (and insult) those who are hopeful that this song will help Adam get some additional recognition, even just a little bit, take the some of the fun out of whatever excitement the rest of us are feeling for ADAM right now.

I have NO clout with the administrator of this blog. I appreciate the time she puts into 24/7. And of course "Anon" posters opinions are valid. No one says they aren't. Not the point but oh well.........

I think I should just go back to commenting the old standard "Adam is gorgeous" on threads. Much safer. Maybe.

Whatever.

By the way, giving @JAK a lecture on the differences between reality and delusion is unbelievably presumptuous. Obviously YOU missed the point of what SHE was saying.

OMG, longest post ever from the queen telling us how to think. Not even going to read it.

If one person has the right to express their opinion, then all of us do. If the dream world fans want to have their say they have to let the realistic fans have their say as well.

I see there are at least three of us here who have the sense to view things as they are. Some call it pessimistic, we choose to call it realistic. Perhaps it is a curse. It must be nice to go through life always seeing things as you want & not as they actually are. And when things don't turn out as they saw it, it's always someone else's fault. How dare we burst their bubble.
We will never get through to most here. They want Adam to succeed so badly that they blow everything out of proportion and make it way more than it is. It's been that way with everything. They see strictly what they want to see and it then becomes a mob mentality.
We will never change their outlook so why even bother. Why do we even care? Let them wallow in their letdown when this too fades into the woodwork. It won't last long, tho. They'll soon find something else to set their delusional sites on.

True, once one of the overly built up things doesn't happen then there is a meltdown and crying. Why can't we be happy with the good things as they are? Instead it gets turned into a bad thing in the end because the existing good couldn't meet the hyped unlikely.

I hope Adam for his own sanity ventures into more and more and more collaborations like this as from business point of view it's very lucrative and keeps him sane from crazy haters. Butt hurt much? Adam is laughing all the way to bank with type of collaborations.

I've never had a meltdown, disappointment maybe at what seemed a missed opportunity. If I'm willing to live through a let down why should that bother you? And yes, I'm willing to be hopeful again and again.

I don't whine, and no you can't change the way we want to look at things so as you said "why bother"
Jessie optimist by choice

I'm the 100th poster! Whoohoo! :-D
Y
That is all.

It's called HOPE. That's what us optomistic posters are is HOPEFUL. We can handle ourselves when things don't turn out for Adam as we had hoped. Don't honestly have a clue why you naysayers are even posting here. Care to give us a clue? Stop giving the kinder, gentler posters crap. Just go away! @JAK and @Glitzylady and so many others don't deserve this crap. You deserve your say, but be respectful darn it!! Didn't your mother teach you manners?

Those of you who support Lam-my are clueless by the way. You obviously haven't seen her in action.

LOL that you just lectured us about being nice and manners and then trash Lam-my. Try rereading your own post.

Look there's more than one way to gain recognition and branch out. Yes there have been many stop and starts career-wise this year, but Adam still continues to push the envelope and explore ways to promote himself and remain viable in many marketplaces. Singing, acting, writing, promoting and entertaining still hones his craft. Adam's young and keeps redefining and improving himself. There are lots of rude/obnoxious singers/entertainers out there, so why not follow someone who's overwhelmingly pleasant to fans and other artists alike? The people who engage his services to front their band and have him perform on their record obviously have their own opinions about Adam and he seems to be getting plenty of work offers. Yes, the best case scenario is his own music, but being a fan means wishing the best for an artist, even if one can't see how things are panning out. I don't see anything Adam is doing to hurt/harm his chances of performing his own music. There's no scandals/bad press, and above all he's truly talented, which is a lot more than we can say for a lot of the musicians/artists out there. Class will tell.
