3:22 I don't think Avicii ever promised to make Lay Me Down a single. It's his call it would be nice but Oh well. Glad it is on the album. A lot goes in to releasing a single that we will never know about. What the hay is with this new song?
One day Adam's time will come. I was hoping that it would be with "Lay Me Down" My fingers still remain crossed for it as a third release. I am afraid that if it is not released as a 3rd single that it will never be released as a single :(
Avicci doesn't need to put Lay Me Down out as a single, we've all pretty much made it one ourselves. We're buying it on I-Tunes and making it a hit. By releasing a different single, he gets double exposure of his album and possibly two songs charting.

I saw an Avicii interview where he absolutely said that LAY ME DOWN would be his 3rd single - and then HEY BROTHER would be his 4th single.
Whatever order those two songs (Oh Brother! and Lay Me Down) are officially released as singles, I would really think they will BOTH be released at some point. Both a getting lots of buzz. And Avicii is highlighting Lay Me Down as the closer in his concerts/gigs..so its all good! I really love all of the songs on Avicii's True... so diverse.

Next single or not,we can request LMD as much as possible. That will help. Avicii is certainly aware of the excitement this song has generated. Don't know why certain songs are chose as singles over others. As for the "going down" song, it might be really good. Hope we get to hear it. Adam has most likely done a great job with it. The fact that it's about a girl adds some excitement, right? Adam always says, "Sexy is sexy." He's made me curious, or as Adam says, "bi-curious."

3:45, LMD is very far from a hit single. It is currently number 457 on Amazon. At iTunes, True is not in the top 100 albums and LMD is not in the top 100 singles.
True is considered a dance album. Check the dance charts.
Adam has done well on the dance chart with his own songs. Doing well on the dance chart does not get you mainstream radio play. The song needs to cross over to mainstream radio to get the attention everybody has been talking about.

So, this rumor about LMD is just a false alarm? Darn. I imagine the "going down" song is full of inuendo and somewhat veiled sexual references. Just my guess. Current songs are so full of graphic lyrics now, that I would think that whatever this song contains lyrically will be no more sexually powered than many others. It will be interesting if we do actually get to hear it. Nile sur praised Adam for his vocals in it.
Disappointed about the LMD rumor. Thought we had a real scoop there for a minute.

Well, Nile just did Get Lucky and that's pretty obvious with it's lyrics.

What? Am I hearing disappointment after I was assured LMD would make Adam a worldwide household name? I was also assured that wouldn't happen.

some lyrics slay me remember I can see paradise by the dashboard light. Nothing is shocking anymore.
@ glitzylady....JAK here......boy, I go away for the day and all this "stuff" is happening.....I'm all caught up now. But this Avicii-Nile-Adam news threw me for a loop....OMG and in my case that stands for Oh My Goodness, I feel a little faint I'll just lie back and fan myself for awhile!!
