@JAK I didn't know that was the title of the song when I posted the word 'joy'. ;) It just fit how I felt.

@ 2:29 PM.....JAK here....then you are very perceptive!
You felt the joy. Sad to think Beethoven himself never heard that great piece of art, he was deaf by the time he wrote it.....but then I guess he did hear it in his mind! : )
I'm sure you've heard his 5th symphony.....I'm wondering what emotion that inspired in you? I love that one as much as this.....completely different vibe!

JAK here...OT... My Viennese grandfather was a musical savant. We lived with him for 6 months when I was 6 yrs old. He made sure I was thoroughly indoctrinated in classical music... so I've always loved it! It's soul stirring.

At 3:17, the joy is so intense in that piece of music that I started crying of JOY! Thx to Eber Lambert, I felt I was still in Austria and Germany (was there this past summer). When you see the majestic Salzburg, Vienna, and the regions of Tyrol and Bavaria, you also want to sing Beethoven's ninth! People who happened to witness this public performance are incredibly lucky. Almost von Karajanesque!

@4:37
The same happened to me, tears of joy and perhaps from remeniscing my own Vienna experiencies... *sigh*

As much as I love Beethoven, when I was in Austria, I just went from city to town to mountaintop humming The Sound of Music!....JAK

Big Beethoven fan amongst other classical composers. When I was in Budapest and Prague, there was classical music played on just about every corner ..... so, so beautiful and uplifting.
