While nobody can really replace Freddie Mercury, the American Idol Season 8 glam rocking runner-up has the dramatic chops and requisite vocal gymnastic abilities to do Queen anthems We are the Champions and Bohemian Rhapsody justice.

Following the five year Queen + Paul Rodgers collaboration, which resulted in a pair of world tours and a studio album, Lambert has stepped up to the plate.

Aftermath: Lambert last performed with Queen at this fall’s iHeart Radio Festival and he had a guest stint on Glee this month.
