OT Dear Lammy
It was not my intention to be cheeky or sly .... I apologize if it seemed that way....I directed the poem at u because u left me a greeting on an ealier thead and ask about my poetry .... So I wanted share what I had been writing ...:my life had been hell as of late ....and I have been a darker mood then normal.... U always seem up beat and have a zest for life .... I wasn't sure u would enjoy my dark take on humanity ....it wasn't about anyone .... just the way I see things.... I am always honored and willing to share credit with all who pour hearts out in words ... For I believe it inspires all other who do the same .... I am very glad u liked the poem ...I wouldn't have shared but as an example of what I've been writing as of late .... Peace end light to u..... rose petal

‘NIGHT’ TIME: Adam Lambert doesn’t have a new album out yet but he does return to the Billboard charts this week, thanks to his cover of Lady Gaga’s “Marry the Night,” the song he performed on last week’s “Glee,” which featured songs by Lady Gaga as well as Katy Perry in the episode, “A Katy or a Gaga.”

The original version of “Marry the Night” by Lady Gaga peaked at No. 29 on the Hot 100 in the summer of 2011. Lambert’s remake debuts at No. 39 on the Pop Digital Songs chart.

Lambert made his Billboard chart debut the week of June 6, 2009, when eight of the songs he performed on American Idol all made their first appearances. Four of them bowed on the Hot 100 and four more entered the Bubbling Under the Hot 100 list. The highest-ranked was a cover of “Mad World,” which peaked at No. 19. The following year, Lambert had a bigger hit on the Hot 100 when “Whataya Want from Me” sailed to No. 10.

Counting back to his 2009 debut, Lambert’s chart span is now expanded to four years, five months and two weeks.

@11:13, not really, but I was trying not to be negative, so I didn't say anything. Only after you asked.

Anonymous said...

@11:09, the Pop Digital Songs chart is NOT the same as the Hot 100. MTN is not at #29 on the Hot 100 right now. Go to Billboard's site and look at the Hot 100 chart.

Anonymous said...

If that's the title on Yahoo's homepage, it is misleading.

Anonymous said...

Of course it was higher on pop digital. But that's not the chart that "counts."

Anonymous said...

LOL that is ridiculous to compare #39 on the pop digital to #29 on the hot 100. And the title of the article is incorrect. But glad Adam is on the front page. Hope they included a link to the bid.

Oh gosh...Lets just dump all over the good news about Marry The Night.. :(((

The bottom line is this: It's doing well. How about we just be happy for Adam. I know I AM!!!

The headline was from Idolator via The Hollywood Reporter. It's getting a fair amount of positive notice. It's a good thing.

glitzylady said...

Sorry didn't mean to be grumpy..but I really think every little bit helps Adam in the long run, even if it isn't the "one that counts..."....

Anonymous said...

Lets just chat about anything we want, and ignore the tweet from Adam. I guess Adam's tweets to us don't mean shit. You just want to talk about what ever comes up in your head. This post did have a heading, which most of you considered really un-important, even if it is from Adam.You pretend to be fans, and then ignore something he would like you to listen to. I guess if you did listen to it, you must have hated it, but didn,t have the guts to say, except for one person

Anonymous said...

@elizie I totally agree with you,gorgeous and natural!

Anonymous said...

Didn't like the song, but very interested to read Adam's upcoming event and news.

First of all MTN is a cover from Glee of A GaGa song. gaGa could go all over the tv ect. Promoting it. It did not get all the high for her. Adams version of this song is just fabulous been singing it all morning to myself. Never liked it that much before. He just killed that sucker.
Since it is just a cover from Glee he can't promote it so its doing fantastic for just have sang it once on Glee. You can view it and many people have and bought the episode. If that had been Adam song and he could have promoted it regularly sure it would have done very well. The song is so perfect for his vocals.
No other song from that episode did as well for the Glee singer.
I just so happy he been so well received from Glee and that MTN done well. Digital chart is still very good. GlitzyLady we may not always be on the same page but you were not grumpy I totally agree with you. Sue

@Anon 12:26 PM
I listened to it, just like I listen to everything Adam tweets..

But there is other rather important (IMHO) news in Adam Land today..new concert announcement (some others may wish to know about that!) which is not a thread topic yet here on 24/7, Marry The Night news.. and I see no reason why we cannot veer off topic. I didn't know we had specific rules about staying strictly On Topic here... correct me if I'm mistaken.

For the record: I thought it was a sexy song...

:))))

Sorry, meant @anon 12:36 PM...

In fact, it would probably be a FIRST if we stayed on topic :)))))))))))

Hi there Rose petal!
I was just poking fun at you; sly, definitely not a trait of yours...absolutely no apology needed. Okay, since I am talking about your heartfelt poem...something really strange I felt, never felt this in your other poems which are all beautiful, regardless what I think. So back to the poem at hand...I felt goosebumps right through, reading it; and I even thought to myself...what's that feeling about. I just felt something other than the beautiful words you strung together. Perhaps, your feelings of 'hell' got through to me when I read it...very solemn. Hey Rose petal, keep calm, pray a lot, it will "soothe the savage beast". If you need someone to talk to, I'm here every day. God bless you. Now I'll take a second or third read of your poem and try to figure why I felt the goosebumps. Love your fighting spirit! :)

Congratulations Adam; for all the wonderful things that are happening to you; and the best is yet to come.

Congratulations to we fans; how luckey are we; our BB is so much fun to follow and cheer for and brag about. He is just so amazing, so talented and did I say, so, so gorgeous. Amen!

@Lam-my

Total 3rd party here, but observant diligent lurker ... & I think your initial response to Rose Petal (which caused here post/reaction here) completely ... How shall I say it ... SUCKED! & had an undercurrent and was disingenuous in its hidden agenda! I would be taken aback if I were Rose Petal too! But whatever, just my POV. Carry On all.

Likes the Nile song a lot, think its quite insightful actually.

Anonymous said...

Perhaps you are not aware about what happened about the Rose petal's Monster poem incident that prompted my jokingly said response which I ended with a lol! Just to refresh, about that Monster poem, I critiqued her poem because she wanted a sincere response and so I gave some suggestions which sort of didn't go down so well with her and a whole group also jumped on the bandwagon, intentionally or otherwise. But since then, Rose petal has apologised and I have accepted; so the case is 'closed' so to speak. When Rose petal said she attentioned this latest beautiful poem to me, she also said in case I didn't like it in a joking manner with a Lol. Perhaps, Rose petal just wanted to make sure there is no misunderstanding again and so responded with she didn't mean any offence. In the first place I said it all in jest!! Never took offence to what Rose petal said. Hey! Stop messing into other people's affairs and conversations when you don't know the background of what previously took place. There's no "undercurrent" of any sort. I said it with sheer poking fun. It's very very calm as far as I'm concerned! Are you trying to come between two friends? Might that be your "undercurrent" motive? Don't be a kaypoh!! There's a lot of wind outside lately...Go fly a kite!!

Lam-my

Anonymous said...

@Lammy then why are you accepting her apology? A true friend who was only "joking" would simply explain that there is absolutely no need to apologize. This is not the first time others have said something and you jump down their throat then they apologize and you continue in your predictable very negative way as you are now doing to others who are making an attempt to let you know how you come across. If I remember correctly you did this once before to rose petal. If you care at all about how others see you you will listen and learn from it and try not to respond hurtfully.

@rose petal I think your poem was just beautiful. It really tugged at my heartstrings and I felt your darkness. I hope you soon have the light and happiness you so deserve.

In my above comment, my actual words are: "absolutely no apology needed" and not what you bulldozed as I accepted her apology! Very very low comprehension skills indeed!!

@Lam-my

This is Anonymous Nov 18, 2013 at 8:05PM here. Just to be clear, I have posted NO OTHER time on this thread. I have only posted the one time at 8:05pm (previous to this post here right now). I am absolutely aware of the previous exchanges between you and Rose Petal (As I said @ 8:05, I am a serious & diligent lurker here). I am sorry if I am making Rose Petal uncomfortable, I extend my apologies to her. I will reduce my thoughts to just this: Something in that first response you made to Rose Petal (the one that compelled her post here on this thread at Nov 18 8:40am) was, to me, icky & crappy ... and made me feel badly... both badly personally (for some strange reason) and feel badly for Rose Petal. I am speaking only for myself, obviously, with my own POV. Honestly, it matters not, at all. I just felt compelled to speak, I don't really know why it mattered to me. A friend, even just a cyber-friend, would have, imho, posted a little more carefully in reply/response to Rose Petal, would have been a little more careful and sensitive with their word choices (and clearly you are a gifted writer Lam-my) I realize Rose Petal put her poem out there and can expect honesty in reply, but it wasn't really your assessment of the poem that bothered me ... it was your assessment of what you perceived to be her more personal choices for constructing her post/comment the way she did. And honestly, thought it doesn't matter at all or amount to a hill of beans, obviously Rose Petal felt "something" that made her twinge, and not positively, as she posted her comment at Nov 18 8:40 the way she did. Food for thought (to me anyway, but whatever). And again, I have posted absolutely nowhere else on this thread but here, and my one and only original post at Nov 18, 8:05. Good Day all. My sincerest apologies for causing any awkward feelings for Rose Petal; I regret my actions completely actually, as I would venture to guess that they have caused her discomfort, and for that I am very sorry.

Sorry no tag, that's how I roll, that's my choice.

Yes, you are free to do or say what you feel. But I suggest, look at the positive rather than indulge in negative thoughts. Regardless what you assume my thoughts were, my last line of Rosepetal's heartfelt poem says it all. I said: "I love it!" Why is this not picked up or stated in your lopsided unnecessary comment. You are not as open-minded as you should have been. Also I described Rosepetal's poem as beautiful and heartfelt. What more does it take to make you see that my response was genuine regardless the joke that you thought was off-colour. You are a stifling person to say the least; can't allow someone to express one's thoughts in whatever form, other than what you deem comfortable to you. Whatever it be, you have taken time to explain but it's really so unnecessary, this whole eruption of strangeness to me! By the way, I use the expression, "I love it!" quite rarely only for Adam and even that not all the time. Also, I told Rosepetal I would be here if she needs someone to talk to. And yet, you conveniently ignore all these positives and just pick on something supposedly negative to you, and something I happily said in total jest! You felt it as an undercurrent! completely ignoring the positives! Very disappointing from you, as the person you have portrayed and not because you said my response "SUCKED"!

By the way, my actual response to Rosepetal was a direct reply to what she said; that she directed her poem to my attention in case I didn't like it, with a Lol. And I got it as a joke with reference to the previous poem critique incident. And so I merely responded to her in a joking manner saying she was rather cheeky and I knew what she was digging at...just poking fun! referencing the previous poem incident. It was a direct response to her statement; meaning I would not have replied that way if Rosepetal had not joked about it. I would not want to rig up the unpleasant past incident. Friends can joke, surely! Do you see the correlation between her words and my consequent reply? And there was absolutely no "disingenuous hidden agenda" as you so crudely put it! In any case you have no business to butt in like that and make such a big mountain out of nothing. I simply wanted to laugh about that Monster poem incident. I ended it with, lol! Rosepetal brought it up just to clarify and I told her absolutely no apology was needed as I saw it as a joke! Don't be such a big kaypoh! Like I said: Go fly a kite!
Either your comprehension is low or your sense of humour is lacking, you didn't read between the lines. It's all done out of jest! It was just between Rosepetal and me. But you came charging sooo rudely with words like..."sucked / undercurrent / disingenuous / hidden agenda" followed later with "icky and crappy" What the hell do you think you are doing? And who do you think you are? You even said I should have posted more carefully. You mean your rude post was carefully posted? And now you say it's "a given that I kick the ball". For your information, nothing is a given! We've all got to earn it with hard work whatever it may be...don't digress and hit below the belt!
Once again, my response was just a direct quirky reply to Rosepetal's statement and nothing more!! Please don't waste my time like this ever again! Read carefully before you launch such a nasty attack!!
