It seems that Adam needs to keep answering the question about new music because he is constantly being asked about it. i must say that I am dying to hear something new from Adam because it seems like such a long time since the release of Trespassing. I enjoy listening to the covers that he does and esp. loved his concert with Queen. It will be interesting to see what direction his new music takes. The music industry is such a crazy unpredictable business with some established successful performers and then all the new ones trying to get that hit single and album out there. I guess we will just have to wait and see what Adam does with this third album and how well it is received by the listening/buying audience. I hope that 2014 will be major as Adam has indicated. He certainly deserves it.

8:23, it's only been a year and a half since Trespassing came out. You are unreasonable and rude.

Hope that 2014 will be the best year yet for Adam both professionally and personally. As a fan, there is nothing more exciting than hearing about a new album from your favorite singer and the possibility of a tour to follow. In the meantime, Adam's appearances on Glee next month will be something special to look forward to. Keep warm and safe for everyone trapped in the Arctic vortex.

He never said he had not started on new album. He said way back last year hex was deep into working on new music.
He also told RS he was writing like crazy. The wheels are in motion is probably means producer and or RL sounds like things be finalized. Probably in Ny to meet with these people.
He never said no new album this year, any way we know new music coming. Single always comes first then the album. He never say that if major stuff was not happening.

I think now he getting the backing he needs. Contracts are being set into motion. His ass has always been in gear. I imagine he was trying to get the right backers behind him before he said anything firm now that's happening I really feel.

9:44, how often do you think Adam should be putting out albums? Every six months? As said above, it hasn't been that long since Trespassing came out. Also, going to all the events keep him in the public eye which is important to his career.

Well kris allen put out his last album the same time as adam and he has finished writing the new one, is recording now and it will be out early this year. He also toured extensively last year. But kris is capable of putting out an album as an indie artist and adam needs a lot of support and backing. So adam played celebrity and waited

I don't think there is another artist out there that stirs up this kind of excitement from such a devoted fan base; and other curosity seekers. Adam can turn media upside down with one tweet; pro or con. When Adam speaks, evidently, many people listen.

He can bring out the love. But, fans as you know; along with fame comes the haters, the jealous venom; and lying fire breathers; which Adam has been letting slide off his back for years; and we must do the same and just enjoy this treasue of man.

@Glitzy Yes, you never do know with Adam, do you? :) When he was recently on the Ellen Show as a guest DJ, did he say something about being in talks with a couple (or few?) different producers or labels? I don't recall exactly what he said...I had the feeling that he was perhaps being a little choosy and didn't want to jump into something, but wanted to make sure it was in his overall best interest.

That's "cool, calm, and collected." Looked up "collected" in my Merriam-Webster dictionary to make certain. As a 2nd language English learner and former English teacher, I'm attuned to the usage and misuse of English, and this all too human but wonderful site with the bonus of a gorgeous man is a great locus for practicing my hobby.
As for the ignoramus of 9:44, spare yourself the embarrassment for Adam, as you used all of that up on yourself.

Just wondering why an entire album is expected these days? People seem to be more into individual toons - you can download one at a time - not like the old days when you were forced to buy an entire album to get one or two good songs.
So maybe Adam can concentrate on releasing one good song - get some well-deserved attention and go from there.
I'd be happy with that.
(I would of course buy an entire album from Adam - I'd buy anything and everything he does).

Yes, he needs to focus on one big single, and frankly without a big collaboration his music isn't going to get played at this point .

I believe Adam when he says he's working on major things, whatever they are.

The expectations for Adam are different from what they are for KA. KA is doing fine, is working stsadily. Adam is more of a celebrity and has a higher level of expectation. He has collaborated with big names and will continue to do so. He is a major label kind of singer. He made it sound in a recent interview that things were certainly moving forward for a label and new music. No reason for us to doubt it. I won't have my high hopes dashed by any naysayer. Adam had quite a busy year in 2013. Asian tour, Queen, Glee, some great one-offs. And his celebrity socializing did keep him in the public eye. It's part of the job. I don't think of Adam as a perpetual album maker each year. He's a fascinating niche in the music business who continues to get attention. He's not Bieber or Perry or Mars. He's Adam, who is like no one else. His path is not conventional because HE is not conventional. I will stay a fan.

Just read in the paper today that Gaga is complaining about the lack of support she got in 2013 for her last album which sold far less than expected. She's angry at a lot of people.

Sometimes I think Adam's somewhat circuitous career path may prove beneficial in the long run. Maybe give him longevity, rather than a rocket ship to the top and then a big crash to the bottom. It's a fascinating ride, nonetheless.

His love affair lasted as long as the tour, then it was gone. Taylor was just an excuse to have someone when they took a short vaca during the tour. He is never considered an ex even. Adam has had many hook ups, but none serious, except for 2.

I used the 3 c's phrase which I made up that description to express my 3 c's which is cool, calm and collective (my meaning which I got out of webster's also; is; collective: "denoting a number of persons or things considered as one group; or whole. To simply put it; I was thinking of Adam and his Glamberts and other fans who will be joining him in the future; being a collective part of his life as he continues his wonderful journey. He might be having a harder time getting collaborators this time, since his last album didn't get the radio recognition that it should have. He claims that he has several songs already written, but none put to music. I know he will put out a good album, but I feel everyone seems to be putting a lot of pressure on him to make this the best album ever heard, even his fans are guilty of that. Adam will settle for nothing but the best he can give, so let off the pressure of when, when, when are we getting the album.

Very well put. I agree regarding longevity better to have a career slow and steady and I am sure Adam will still be around for years to come. All the Biebers and GaGa's will come and go but they don't have staying power like Adam. Adam has that special talent that only comes once in a while a I feel blessed to have been around to see how he has evolved since AI. I hope I'm around d for a few more years to see more of this beautiful mans talent grow even more.

Adam's career is a deep river with twists and turns, pools and falls. It's one he has nurtured since a child, first a stream sourced from the mountaintop, enriching in girth and depth, as he honed his craft to please real and imagined listeners. Adam's voyage down this river will in time take him to the vast ocean where he will join in song all the waters of the earth. It is his Destiny.

There is so much of Adam to enjoy and music that I am still listening to; so I am enjoying all of the wonderful things coming my way from him. So I am not sitting around trying to push this man verbally; the next album will come when it is time; in the mean time, I continue to soak all the beautiful artistic gifts that Adam has honored us with; it never get old.

Perhaps you do need a break; I would not think that anyone would equate a person or person's that attempt to tear Adam down; as any alternative to people on anyone's fan site praising the entertainer that they are following. By the way, I have not read any post where someone called Adam a musical messiah.

Personally, I don't think any of the praises that Adam has received on his fan site are over the top. In fact, and this might really irritate you; I think that Adam is one of the most gifted entertainers in the world. So proud to be his fan!

If that makes me one of the excessive fawning stickey fans of Adam's which you are speaking of; I will wear that title proudly.

Adam's fans may be putting a lot of pressure on him constantly asking about a third album, but it probably isn't as much as the pressure Adam is putting on himself to produce something special and amazing for everyone. It must have been frustrating for him to do all that radio promo for Trespassing and then not to get radio play for it. The album received critical reviews and yet did not reach the success that we all wanted for it. Maybe he does need some big collaborations and even a duet release to get this album noticed by a wider audience. In this day of boy bands and teenage singers who seem to get the sales and concert goers, Adam will have to do something major to compete against them. And I can't wait to see/hear what it will be.

May all the negativity of the naysayers here about Adam bounce back to them tenfold negatively, I pray.

The naysayer is definitely not from US. I can tell. This person makes it like there are multiple persons feeling the same way. But there is only one person coming up with all these different negative comments and made up stories. Loves to get reaction from fans, especially the ones with name tags. So many of Adam's ardent US fans are not originally from US... Actually and factually majority of US citizens originate from all over the world. The web is worldwide, so is the craziness in the web. But more importantly for Adam and Adam fan sites, ADAM is a worldwide superstar, singer/performer, rock star and an unbelievably lovable human being.
