Adam has obviously always been adorable and a bit capricious but I am loving the grown-up capricious man he is more than I would have ever thought possible.
Adam exuded confident and poise even then. He was born to be onstage. It's so cute to hear his voice before it changed! There is a thread on AO about the new Peter Pan in the works and about how Adam would be great for the part of Peter. The question came up about why Peter has always been played by a woman (except once). I think it's because Peter is supposed to be smaller and boyish and rather elfin in appearance. He's "the boy who never grew up." I really don't think Adam would suit the part. He is too tall and he has a mature man's build. As much as I'd love to see him do any on film or on stage, this role is not for him, IMO.
I always love seeing old photos and videos of Adam onstage as a child, a teen and a young adult. He's have really lived his life onstage.
I so agree with you! Bring Jesus Christ Super start on; that is a project that Adam has said he would be interested in, recently on Lance Bass' Radio Program, when he was interviewing Adam about the Queen Tour!
No, just no. Adam's Peter Pan days were well spint and are over. Adam's deserves something fresh, something to match his grown man's talents. Roger Taylor said Adam should just focus on being a Divo. Just my opinion, but I think Sting ought to contact Adam about taking the lead in Sting's musical. And Adam said he'd be interested in Jesus Christ Superstar. Howsa 'bout that?.
Yes, Adam said that Jared Leto would be a good fit to play Jesus Christ and he would like to play the part of Judas in a Jesus Christ Superstar musical.
Why shouldn't Adam do Peter Pan? It's a make believe story. Remember Robin Wlliams played as Peter Pan and Michael Jackson as well. Adam can do anything. After this he can be Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar movie right with Jared Leto.
Robin Williams played PP in a very unorthodox treatment of the story. I remember seeing it. It was very creative, but it wasn't my favorite version. I don't remember the MJ version. Never saw that one. I prefer something a little closer to the original concept. I just don't think Adam is right for the part now. JMO.
watching a grown up guy playing a young boy role is cringe worthy tbh . and i don't like " judas " ether . why it has to be a symbolic role anyway ? i would like to see him in a role when he's just a simple guy in real life , just for change :)
Just jumping in here. I've rather recently seen an excellent regional theater production of JCSS, and I have to say I understand completely why Adam said he wants to play Judas. Judas has some of the best songs and most intense moments in the musical as well as some of the most vocally challenging pieces.. I truly hope he gets the chance to do a production of it sometime, as it would be a dream come true for him. I can see him doing a limited Broadway run, a month or two perhaps, at some point..I know I'd be more than happy to travel to NYC to see him in it!!! The production I saw was set in the present time and was quite fabulous... It would be perfect for Adam, in my opinion. Perhaps someday....
I saw a very modern version of Jesus Christ Superstar last year in Australia. The guy who played Jesus Christ was the best performer. One of the Spice Girls played Mary Magdalene. I love the song "I Don't Know How To Love Him".
This show was the London's West End production and extremely well done but I'd prefer a more traditional version if that's possible.
@Anon 10:30 PM The production you saw last year is touring the US and Canada this summer.. I actually was going to mention it here because I just got a notice about it, as it's coming to my city (Seattle) on July 10th.. It's billed as the "Jesus Christ Superstar Arena Spectacular". It looks more like an arena rock show than a musical. Singing only I think. Is that how you recall it?? The one I saw was more the classic Andrew Lloyd Webber/Tim Rice version play/musical but set in modern day.. Quite excellent..
Here we go again.... 59+ women planning Adam's future...and musicals...puhleeezzz! Let the man do the QAL, then get the new music out (hopefully a tour!), let him pave his own path however he likes to do it! So tired of all these speculations, live in the moment, take it as it comes.
@Anon 6:16 AM I don't see anyone planning Adam's life here. As if any of us have that kind of power!! :))) It's a discussion, that's all. Adam has a long history of appearing in musicals, and has commented in the past his interest in playing Judas in JCSS. He also appeared in Peter Pan. Harmless discussion. That's it.
I would think ALL of us here are excited that Adam will be touring with Queen this year, and are MORE than excited to hear his new music sometime later this year, if not perhaps a new single this summer (hoping hoping..!!!).. I know I am.... In the meantime we chat sometimes.......
As for your comment about ages... well, I'll just leave it at that..........................
6:16 AM......JAK here...speaking of leading the way....you are not a leader unless someone is following you. Does Adam read our posts, does he take any of our advice, does he plan his life according to our wishes, our planning ..."NO"..
We are not talking to Adam we are talking to each other, so what's the fuss, we're just speculating among ourselves. No harm done. Most people have sane ideas and some are screwballs but that's okay, we just discount what they say and go on our merry way.
And if we have one professional wish for Adam...it's our desire for that eagerly awaited 3rd album....new music to add to his library.

Where is the print blurb from?
He had confidence as a child
Adorable Adam!!!

Oops, the Peter Pan discussion I was referring to is on Adamtopia, not AO. Sorry.

Yay bring it on 1.33pm, that would be mighty. Would save my dollars to see that.

Leto and Lambert together in a movie would be amazing!!!

Leto and lLambert........I'll second that !!!!
@3.37pm
Robin Williams played Peter Pan as a grown up middle aged man...not a boy.
Yes to Judas though...
I don't like the music in Jesus Christ Superstar with the exception of title song. :-(
I wonder if J Leto would get the recognition in the US without the long hair. He and 30STM have been popular elsewhere for many years.

And Adam in this pic and this video clip: Just so darn cute!!!! Star quality even then!

I'd love to see Adam in Hair.

Me too....................................................Preferably in the front row.
I think I've mixed Hair and Jesus Christ Superstar. I'm so out of the loop.
Adam has been in Hair before - is that right?

Fans follow, they don't lead the way... !
Adam was in Hair in Europe way back in the day.. His time there was life changing for him...
