Awww that is too bad a lot of hard work went into the planning already.

I'm not disappointed but then this is all new news to me.

Never heard of pre-show parties before. Artists need to be in full gear on stage to give great shows. They need their prep time before. Why would they have parties beforehand&??&. QUEEN and Adam Lambert are consummate pros when it comes to giving incredible shows. No need for anything more on their part on show nights!

This was a pre-party for the fans. We had one like that at the NYE concert.

Pre-party sounds like a chance to get wasted before the show starts. lol

8:30, Adam and Queen would not have attended the party. It is for fans to get together before the concert.

The fan pre-parties are a LOT of fun and a chance to get together with other fans...I've been to more than a few... Those of us who have been to a certain amount of Adam Lambert concerts over the past 5 years have gotten to know many other fans.. It's a great opportunity to chat with others who love flailing about Adam, and this time, Queen as well. It's really too bad that this isn't happening.. But there are other options in the works.... I'll post info soon...

***I heard about the Hard Rock pre-party last night but didn't have time to post the info here (work commitments, etc..). I was planning to do so today., to let those who are going to LV know.. A fair amount of friends were planning to attend one or more of the parties...

Pre-party for fans is the same as pre-show party. A party, a get-together for fans coming to the concert and it's organized by some enthusiastic, industrious fans (usually a bit of a 'members only' type thing, announced in blogs where registration is required and through twitter via friend of a friend of a friend etc).

Maybe the pre-parties for the QAL concerts are getting too big or too hard to handle, cause the number of concert goers is much bigger than with Adam's GNT, WAG or other concerts. Not a small gathering anymore???

Wish they would have a pre-party for the Dallas concert, I'd love to meet other fans :(

Pre-show fan parties are a great way to meet Adam fans who share our passion. I loved meeting so many great people in San Diego last year. I hope there is another party in the works to replace the cancelled ones.

4:29, These pre-parties are completely planned by fans. There is no "they." Maybe you could help get the ball rolling in Dallas and get a party organized!

The pre-show party..whatever you want to call it...at the Hard Rock, which was planned for 5 PM to 7 PM, both nights, July 5th and 6th, was actually, in this particular case, an "official" event sponsored by the Hard Rock Hotel, for the fans of Queen and/or Adam Lambert, who will be attending the Queen + Adam Lambert concerts at the Hard Rock's, The Joint Venue.. It was not for just an exclusive lucky few, but for anyone who wished to buy a ticket to the party...

There is already another, smaller event in the works for the 5th, and undoubtedly there will be many other fan get-togethers as well..

glitzy, Oops! Thanks for correcting me. I was wrong about that particular party. I know that most fan parties are planned by fans. I'm glad that another party is already in the works. And I'm sure that there will be other informal fan get-togethers as always. Always a party when it comes to Adam!

Yes, this one was a bit different, in that it was an official Hard Rock venue event. Most are put together by fans... And are a blast, aren't they??!! It was so much fun to meet you in San Diego last summer :))

rose petal, I didn't mean to imply that you were lazy! LOL! I hope I didn't come across like that, and if I did, I'm sorry. I just know that these parties do take some planning and it's nice when a few people step up to organize them. Lots of us are very busy and simply cannot do it. Hope somehow a pre-party gets organized in Dallas!

I'm pretty sure I've heard of at least one large and well organized concert pre-party for the Dallas FW area, for fans going to Q + AL this summer.. I'll check that out and get back to you later. (At work right now).. Or perhaps someone here knows about it also.

This is 8:30 again. I did not know about these FANS pre-parties. I assumed (wrongly) that people expected the artists to attend these pre-show parties. Thx to everyone who posted afterwards clarifying this. I personally party like crazy at the show itself (with thousands of other fans there who sing along, dance and have a blast)!!!!
