Wonder what Adam the 'Queen vocalist' will be wearing this year?

Adam Alibaba...Open Sesame !
His treasure trove, we'll soon see
A whole lot of love and mastery
To spur him further up the hierarchy
Of celebrity and musicality
Glamberts are ready to put their best foot forward
To assimilate his new album in its entirety
Pop, rock, jazz, blues, whatever they be
Makes no difference to me lol!
Meanwhile Adam Alibaba
Continues his conquering victory
As huge numbers of fans increase
At home and overseas
Rolling out the red carpet to receive
The newly crowned frontman of Queen

I bet this quartet would have sang Bohemian Rhapsody together that night had they known what band Adam was fronting in the future.... !!!!
:)))

Oh, forgot: Party on, Dudes!!!

PS. Where is Dana Carvey nowadays?!!! He was one of my big time favs in SNL back wayyyy when...

Vagrant said...

Ooops, sorry... Meant "on SNL back wayyyy when..." My fingertips are too big for my phone's keyboard... writing with constant correcting takes like forever!

JAK said...

@ Vagrant.....please don't bother with constant correcting. Long ago it was agreed, by most of us, that finger slips, grammar goofs and misspelled words are not important.
As long as we can read your post, it's okay with us.

Grammar police are not needed. No one has been elected to grade our chatter......therefore it would be
considered extremely rude to do so.

So, type away and if an occasional slip of the finger produces a goof.....often a funny one, it'll just possibly give us a much needed giggle...........:-))

This is not targeting anyone nor any opinion. I had been wanting to say this quite sometime ago so it has no relation to any present situation nor person/s.
I remember an English lecturer said that anything published should be error free; and that has since become a habit with me and not done for any other reason. It has been internalised by many years of work.
I guess it is also an optional thing because what we are doing here is informal.
In my opinion, there is nothing rude about pointing out grammar, spelling, punctuation mistakes, more like unnecessary and also being aware some are typing from handphones or in between work; with no time for checking.
But it is not rude because ultimately the person learns something and teaching/learning is a process of life; how can that be rude? Like I said perhaps unnecessary in a situation here at 24/7; but it would be absolutely necessary in writing/publishing an article for instance. So basically nothing rude about it per se, just depending on the situation when/where it is done and for what purpose.

Adam usually shows up as some kind of vampire. He might surprise us, you never know which way his mind is glowing, ooops meant flowing, ha ha.

Pomposity personified! Yes, correcting anyone's grammar in a chat room is rude...rude...rude. :-(

Lam-My said...

JAK.....So "STFU" shouted at me by you, is not rude ? You sure got some weird yardstick of measure ! It was sooo rude I didn't even bother to respond. And when people use this kind of language in an argument, it tells me they have been cornered, no way out. Like in chess...Checkmate! The king dies lol!
Frankly, those grammar errors I pointed out whether done in a squabble, a sort of self defence mechanism which sounds really funny...those persons learnt something from me, even though they gave me something unpalatable; almost like something not desirable in exchange for something beneficial.
I really don't mind being called a Grammar police; it sounds quite complimentary. But it's the sneer and confrontational manner that I deplore.

JAK said...

Yes, STFU was very rude and I meant it to be! I had held my tongue and temper long enough while you insulted and trampled people on this site. Your self appointed reign as Queen of Correction and Criticism has lasted long enough.

Actually you did respond with yet another crappy poetic endeavor.

You think you have me cornered...fat chance!

Yes, the persons you addressed this week and every person you have insulted over several years on this site have all learned something from you. But it isn't grammar....it's that you are a viper who strikes where
you will. They have learned that you are unkind.

I will never let your browbeating go again without commenting on it.

Whoa! The true villian in you finally emerges...oooh-la-la.
I remember you gave LL such a bad time, Admin closed down the whole thread! So who is the the real trampler? And then apologised...well the harm had been done!
Hey, most of the time, I was getting the brunt of all the tramplings...of course I fight back! Could you please provide an example or two that I actually trampled on others without provocation from them first !! Even you started your trampling on me first...when I disagreed on an issue which I explained logically, my stand. What you want is a...Yes sir, yes sir, three bags full...type of person; not me, but I am basically a kind person but will not tolerate group bullying. Do and think what you like anyway! Checkmate!

Lam-my, Quite frankly, you are the one who is making this site an unpleasant place. Your constant lecturing and over-reacting to others' comments sets a really negative tone to 24/7. Your complaining and backlashing at others just escalates the problem. A fansite doesn't need grammar police or constant spelling correction. We fans come from all backgrounds and languages. We write from the heart, whether we're grammatically correct or not. Moderators can block certain users if they feel they are having a negative impact on the a fansite. Remember, this is all supposed to be fun, not a constant argument. This place is supposed to represent our fandom in a fun, spirited way that would make Adam proud to have us as fans. I think you've lost your way on that. Please stop.

DRG.....As I've said, I only correct grammar of those people who confront/attack me, as a kind of rebuttal to get them off my back. I don't specifically target people's grammar. Wake up your brain ! I have largely left others alone and even avoid certain threads because I do not want to get into disputes.
I just merely said I don't think correcting grammar per se is in itself rude because that in fact is how we learn, so basically it can't be a rude thing. But I also clarified by saying it's not necessary...in an informal situation like 24/7. It was a fair comment. I was expressing my view and knowledge...what's so wrong about that?
DRG.....You have no backbone !! You simply follow another person blindly instead of thinking on your own two feet !
