Queen Cancel Brussels Show Due To Adam Lambert Illness, Milan In Doubt

Queen and Adam Lambert are without doubt this year’s big-ticket show, but sadly for fans in Brussels, last night’s concert had to be cancelled due to Lambert’s illness. Lambert is suffering from a serious bronchial infection and has been ordered to rest by a doctor he saw after the band’s show in Frankfurt on Saturday February 7.
Lambert has been earning rave reviews from audiences and critics alike as he fronts veteran rock band Queen on their world tour. The 33-year-old American Idol runner-up has been a revelation and has brought flamboyance, confidence, and above all else, a stunning voice to Queen’s performances across the UK and Europe.
Unreality TV reports that to the dismay of the thousands of ticket holders, the sold-out show at Palais 12, Brussels was cancelled at short notice.
A statement on Queens website said, “Queen and Adam Lambert have this afternoon reluctantly been forced to announce the cancellation of their sold out Brussels concert scheduled to take place tonight, Sunday February 8 at Palais 12, Brussels.”
The press release continued, “The cancellation comes after doctors in Frankfurt, where Queen and Adam Lambert performed last night, this morning diagnosed Adam with severe bronchitis and have ordered 24 hour vocal and bed rest. Unfortunately, due to unavailability of the venue, it not going to be possible to reschedule the show.”
Lambert took to Twitter to express his sadness at having to cancel the gig and to apologize for letting his fans down.

I read that the show organizers and also Spike (I'm not sure about him) said that they are gonna perform in Milan but I guess they will have to see how Adam is doing tomorrow

Adam has said a warm climate works wonders for his singing and perhaps the cold has taken its toll. Hope Adam is okay, better be fully recovered than risk relapse or complications. Meanwhile, the Queen chorus/harmony is helping out with their beautiful band/singing.
Suggestion: Since the audiences are largely Queen fans, perhaps let Freddie sing another song on screen to let Adam rest his voice a bit more.
