Yes I've often talked about "self-acceptance"...self acceptance has to come first before one can even think about accepting others.
One line of lyric about "believing in God...and Hollywood sold out" gives a sense of disillusionment. Adam has found his light in the tunnel and perhaps still finding his way out completely. That line may be saying something to this effect. And the dilapidated Hollywood pictures are rather striking in this regard.

I've just read people's comments from Billboard forum, how sad, heartbreaking, as soon as Adam comes out with something big, an album, a tour, a festival... the/his haters, like sleeping...hideous ones awake and initiate the same, old attacks. And how pathetic they are, if they had known, at least, the basics of psychiatry ,they would have found out by now that hatred is caused by frustration, jealousy, unhappiness, dissatisfaction with you, with your life. I'll never understand this sick "desire" to exhibit your dark, stinky inside!

I'm looking forward to reading an interview given by Adam to Billboard, not excerpts from other magazines.

Great article within that article about Adam's Trespassing album - so incredibly under-rated. I LOVE it, just as I LOVE his For Your Entertainment album and never tire of listening to them .... and soon I'll have a brand new Adam album to enjoy. :-D

I've always enjoyed the view from my soapbox, best place I've found to make a stand. The only problem is I get to flailing my arms around and tend to fall off mine, no worries though I always jump right back on :)

Some here have wanted for press coverage in U.S., well Billboard is big, hit it!!!!

Just read the BB article and loved it. Adam is so self-examining. He's introspective and very articulate about expressing it. I just ignore the haters. They love to rile up the place.

These are the words at the beginning of the song "Strut".."I want to start a revolution, a kind of personal solution". I think Adam's revolution and his solution is NOW. He is singing better, looking better, and is more articulate than ever before. I am so happy that everything is falling into place for him. I love all the positive reviews. Can't wait for his new CD.

Well said, Lynn! I agree 100%. I also believe that Adam will continue on in that growth from his personal revolution .... And be ripe for futher success in all areas of his life over the next several years. He is still a young man, and will grow in so much wisdom and serendipitous personal revelation as he broaches his 40's .... (As do we all! At least we hope :))

At the risk of being told to "ignore the trolls" (and as an admin on this blog I feel I have a certain responsibility to say something on occasion...), I would ask that you allow people who have something they wish to share, in this case re the massive proliferation of internet trolls, to say it.. It is INDEED a serious problem out there on the internet: particularly on the big "public" blogs such as Billboard, Yahoo, AOL, Huffington Post, etc.. etc.. etc.. Or perhaps you're referring to the concept of "self-acceptance" also discussed here... All great topics to bring up here and they relate to the thread topic..

In General:

We admins have been having a chat about what to do here on this blog about comment moderation, and in the near future will be posting a "policy statement" of sorts. It will include very few "rules" per se and will primarily ask that respect for Adam AND for the people who come here to celebrate the many aspects of Adam Lambert, be observed.

**This blog is one of many out there dedicated to Adam Lambert. We would wish that the comments seen posted here are at least in part a reflection of Adam and all he represents and stands for.. Adam has been known to get on his own "Soapbox" a time or two.. Let's let others do the same, keeping in mind that word/concept "respect". We have wide variety of Adam Lambert fans from around the world who come here to flail about, discuss, celebrate, and chat about Adam.. In addition to enjoying each other's company, we learn from each other..

The owner of the blog has been providing us fans a place to learn and chat about Adam Lambert since almost the very beginning.. I have much gratitude for her efforts.. Let's continue to keep it civil, informative, and fun..

Glitzylady, hoping what you wrote applies to the people that jump all over a minority opinion. It is obvious many of these minority opinions are by true fans, not trolls. It is unfair that they are not allowed to reasonably express their opinion also.

Of course it does... "Reasonably stated" is key here..

Again, respectful... Just as you just now asked the question..

A little courtesy goes a long way..

Disagreement with someone's opinion is one thing.. rude snark is another.. Calling people rude names isn't called for. Yet it happens here.. Sadly..

Yours is a good point, and I want to offer my opinion to you, that I believe moderation will actually aid in helping with that scenario you bring up. I will be honest and say that not once, but a few times, in the past month, I think I have mistakenly taken to task a fan commenting here with a minority opinion, unfairly so perhaps - because the thread it was in was so riddled with obvious troll comments, and I just made a bad call. I have maintained here, that over the past 3 months or so, troll or pot-stirring comments are obvious... and opinions that are likely to be in the minority of participants here but are from real fans are also transparent, we need only to read them a little more carefully, but then I have proven myself wrong, lol ... it's just so hard to do that all the time, to concern ourselves with making the distinction, making the right call, and knowing when to ignore troll bait and when to comment back to someone we want to civilly engage - when a thread is littered with nonsense & foolishness. Anyway, blah blah blah ... I do really think that moderation will assist in fostering the kind and thoughtful acceptance of opinions that may fall in the minority here. A few other sites I visit have successful moderation. If I'm being really honest, I do think, and I can think of one site in particular, that moderation sometimes results in on-line cliques, so to speak, but no biggie, and on the whole, I find moderation on these other sites to result in a healthier fansite atmospheres to dwell and play in. Just my point of view. This thread is probably dead by now! :)

I believe we have a wonderful majority of folks here interested in beneficial and positive dialogue regarding Adam Lambert; even when opinions differ. I love that about this little meeting place. Thank you, again, to you all who keep it going and provide a wonderful place for us! :)
