Adam Lambert hopes people like his new album, otherwise he won't get a solo tour.
The 33-year-old singer saw his status rise after landing in the runner-up position on American Idol in 2009 and he was the headline act of his own concert series, the Glam Nation Tour, in 2010 after the star's debut album For Your Entertainment proved to be a great success with fans.

He is probably just as nervous as we are that the album is received well enough to support a tour. Fingers crossed. Things are looking good so far.

June 12th now? Is this a misprint perhaps, or a date change, I wonder....

I think adam should just tour, who cares about sales.

Is Ghost Town officially released so it can hit the Billboard charts? If not, does anyone know when this might happen?

Time to move out from your parents' house and earn your money, lol.

I guess if sales are not good and there isn't much radio play, there will not be enough support for a tour. And I hope this does not happen. Adam is such an amazing vocal talent and has a mesmerizing stage presence, that he deserves to tour. So time will tell once the cd is released in June whether or not a solo tour is on the boards. He has Sept. in South America with Queen to look forward to, but I am sure Adam would like to tour with a successful third album release also.

It must be incredibly frustrating for Adam to see some of his contemporaries sell millions right off the bat and tour without question. He is so talented, it's beyond belief. He needs songs from TOH that will grab everyone's attention. GT is a start, but other songs from the album will have to do well, too. I want him to do a solo tour SO much. He deserves it.

I don't see to many that sale millions right off the bat except maybe TS a very few. When GT hits the promotion for TV the numbers will go up a lot the sales. He doing Ellen and ET to start off. He needs exposure for the single and the album, GT to me is an amaizing song sure not everyone in to it but a lot will be. Men and younger people will most likely like this single best of any he done. That's translates into sales.
He starting off with Ellen and ET but there will be more certainly sounds like it. He has to get his product put there I think that the key.
Getting on
More shows will help get it up there in sales and hopefully keep it up there. Radio play will surely help. GT is a start and I say a damn good one this week more will hear it and love it hopefully. You can't pleas every one but but I think this song has more mass appeal than any before evenWDYWFM.

To Dee R Gee: I agree with what you said about Adam's contemps selling millions off the bat and then selling out arenas for concerts. And it is unfortunate for Adam because so many of them have very little vocal talent or stage presence. Some even go through shows lip synching and get extended stays in Las Vegas to perform. I want so much for Adam to have the ultimate success and recognition that he so deserves esp. here at home. Touring with Queen was amazing for him and made him tons of money in addition to being recognized for his brilliant voice. The reviews overall were so positive and gave him a new found confidence to perform. Now all he needs is the same kind of reception for Ghost Town and The Original High so that he can have a tour. Isn't that what all performers want?

The sad thing is so many of Adam's original, the more mature fans are not so 'happy' with GT. They still pine after the American Idol Adam, Adam singing power ballads, they are not into this 'pop crap' which is not worthy his voice... and they hope that TOH still has something that pleases their mainstream blending idea of Adam. Their lack of enthusiasm re GT comes through also here. And I'm not talking about the NN posts or other mayhem creating creatures.

Adam changes and develops in his own pace, in his own style. So many saying he's matured. Well if that's the case, I sure hope his 'mature' is different from yours/ours. He he hee!

Didn't everyone here go crazy over I Was Born to Love You, Love Kills, Who Wants to Live Forever, Save Me, Soaked, Time for Miracles, Sleepwalker, etc.?

Adams voice is glorious singing such songs. No wonder some of us are hoping TOH contains a track or two of this type of music.

I have to comment to (and perhaps slightly) disagree with) you about Adam's "original" fans.. On several levels.. But this is just my take on it.. :))

I follow (on twitter) and personally know MANY of the fans that have been there with Adam since day one or close to it..

There are those who certainly prefer the ballads.. the "big" songs (that Adam is so suited for certainly) , but SOOO many are loving this new single.. As are his newer fans who are just discovering him now. Adam's voice lends itself to the big vocals.. but this song is truly beautiful and complex as well.. It's just a bit different and sometimes requires a few listens to take in all of the various "feels" of the song..The nuances.. the genius of it.. Simple yet complex.....

We (I) fell in love (platonically and vocally) with this incredible and unique and special man on Idol.. He has moved on from that time of covering other artist's' songs and has grown so much since then..

As one of those OG "Glamberts" I feel just as entranced with him and his voice and his charisma as I did in the first minute I saw him on Idol.. Just wanted to reassure you that there are many many who are thrilled for this next exciting "era" of Adam's.. Which could be his most rewarding yet..

As one of Adam's original more mature fans, I had hoped that his first two albums and single releases would have brought him greater recognition and success in today's music industry. There were so many factors that didn't bring him to the overall degree of success that he could have achieved and they have been rehashed over and over. I was so excited about this new single and all the hype surrounding it, but somewhat disappointed when it was finally released. I guess I expected something more exciting, powerful, and catchy that would get tons of radio play in today's market of young performers and boy groups. I can't wait to hear the entire album and even the next single release and to see the overall reviews and acceptance of his new music. I loved Adam performing those powerful ballads with Queen and maybe that spoiled me with this new single. It will be interesting to see Adam on the ELLEN show and whether he has a new band and backup singers, etc. Who is going to do the whistling for Ghost Town? That could be tricky.

I can't even imagine how this song could be performed live. Too much of it is contrived electronically on the studio rendition. I have my fingers crossed that an arrangement can be done for personal appearances.

I have wondered the same myself... And I love the song. Adam has indicated a strong predilection for strong live performances throughout his career, so it seem unlikely to me that he would change that now. :))

I'm thinking live performance wa taken into consideration before opting for GT as the first single release. Adam, MM and others involved probably conceptualized ideas that would work....

One thing's for certain, I can hardly wait to see it!! Crossing my fingers along with you, 9:46AM :))
