I am wondering if Adam is doing a full on radio station tour again? I don't quite see how he as an artist can get much out of it.

I think he's using it for exposer for his new single...not all radio stations are playing GT...I guess its the way of reintroducing or introducing Adam to new fans like me who have only been following him for such a short time...maybe this will
lead to more television time like the Tonight Show or The Late Night Show...who knows what this could lead to:)

All in California. At least he won't have to travel much.

Ghost Town is up to 43 on HAC!!

I hope that all the interviews and appearances that Adam does to promote GT will actually get him radio play. I seem to remember him doing much the same for his previous album and single, but without much success for the song. He was in the NYC/NJ area then on several radio stations, but I never really heard any of the songs from TRESPASSING played on the radio. With Warner Brothers behind him and a strong first single from the album with good reviews, maybe the third time will be the charm to get him the recognition in the music industry that he so deserves. He is the best vocal talent in music today among so many mediocre, egotistical performers we see and hear much too often.

There are lots of very talented people making music. The ones who produce the songs that resonate with the public will be successful.

GT seems to be being played on a lot more stations that TP ever was. At least that's the impression I'm getting. I don't think Adam will be doing any kind of big radio station tour like he did before. I hope this San Diego interview wakes some people up to his new music. I think there will be at least one more single released from TOH. I'm counting on the album to do well. Lots of other countries are excited, too. I realize the BB charts are what matters most.

Well your impression is wrong. BTIKM was played by a lot more stations before it peaked. We have a long way to go before we know if this song even does as well as BTIKM.

@Dee R Gee
I totally agree with you! In my opinion, your impression is NOT WRONG! The fact is that GHOST TOWN is doing much better in radio play than BTIKM. BTIKM did not receive half this much radio play or support from the label. This is just so much more different. The fact is Adam's label and management team is doing their job along with the fans. Adam Lambert is pure gold; just have to keep getting that exposure he so needs!

This time around he is going to make a big dent in the music world; I can just feel it! Look out world here he comess!!!

Lmao. Don't let facts get in the way of those strong opinions.

BTIKM went up to 17 on the hac chart. Ghost town is at 43.

Rca gave adam great support including numerous TV appearances. We have yet to hear of any additional TV other than ellen.

Dee R Gee said...

8:53, So, what are the things you like best about Adam? Just wondering.

I like facts. I don't like silly fan nonsense.

I hope for a better result this time.
With BTIKM Adam had 2 TV live performances.
So Ellen we got already, what the next will be?
Jimmy Kimmel or American Idol or the best can be The Billboard Music Awards- If GT is on the 40 radio charts by than.

Anonymous said...

Or maybe he will be on the Voice after AI ends. The Voice has final on May 19.

Anonymous said...

The only chance he has for idol is the finale. hope for that

Dee R Gee said...

I'm sure the Billboard Awards line-up has been set for a long time. Maybe Idol. Not so sure about the other shows.

The fact that ghost town MV reached no 1 in iTunes so much better than BTKIM or NCOE right?so why we loose hope to GT? Be patient.Trust Adam and his team.Like he said 3rd time is the charm.

Anonymous said...

GT never came anywhere close to top 10 on iTunes. You have things mixed up. Lmao

Facts are good but so is Faith and Positive Energy! Support Adam any way we can and keep the Faith!!!

Anonymous said...

It was in the top 10 in the pop charts on iTunes. The music video stayed there for a few days also. I know that doesn' t amount yo much in sales. I don't think many people buy the videos.

It's normal for a song to climb slowly. Adam is not Madonna or Taylor. He must wait for his turn on the radio and I will hope for the best result.

Patient glamhoppers :)

Just the facts sounds so cold and leaves no room for fun and excitement. Let's hear it for silly fan nonsense. YAY!

I agree with @7:05 AM.

@7:13 AM, the trouble I see with part of your statement is if you don't get radio or some other platform to showcase your musical talents to the masses then you won't be heard no matter how talented you are. Point is; with out the exposure it won't resonate to the public, because the public will never here it, GHOST TOWN is a great song and it, and a few others adam said he would drop before the release of TOH will be icing on his fabulous cake, so to speak!

This time around though; I can feel the change! He always had great songs; just not great backing behind him! No longer the case! Exicting Adam times are upon us!!! Later, got to go do some more serious video watching!!

I am all for fun and excitement; but, a little elbow gresse too, so he will have the longevity to stay around for us to have that fun and excitement with!!

Why, oh why do you keep trying to interact with @7:13, 7:36, 8:53, 9:21, 11:20 - it's the same non-fan who's been here before (was gone quite some time and is back again), takes pleasure in laughing at fans.
Trying to show superiority by addressing known tagged posters, such as DeeRGee, with timeslots only.

"I like facts. I don't like silly fan nonsense." Why the heck are you spending your time and spoiling ours on a fan site then?
I'm sure there are plenty of blogs where a fact fan(atic) feels more @home! Cheerio!

Poor old adam is in exactly the same spot as jordin Sparks. Both old idols trying to get radios attention after years and years of being out of the game. Doing the same kind of promo. Very tough for either of them to get back into mainstream music. At least jordin is still young.

You 'facts' people will tell the rest of us when it's okay to have fun and be excited, won't you?

Please, please IGNORE @3:01

Hi...I'm Lori...I only visit this site to share with other Adam Lambert fans...but at times I think that this site is for haters of Adam Lambert...why?
Here's my take on GT...sometimes the first track from an album is to let people know that this particular artist is coming out with something new....having said that I've noticed that sometimes the first track of an album climbs up slowly and its often the second track that takes off like a bullet...for instance does anyone remember what Ed Sheran's first single was on his current album? But I know a lot of people who know what the second one was...Sam Smith's what was the name of his second single?
My point is that sometimes the first single is more of an introduction and the second is the one that really catches the public's attention...like the title track...I watched the Ryan Seacrest interview as well as the 104.3 MY FM station and Adam seemed very excited about the title track...not that he's not excited about GT...his eyes lit up when he was talking about it.
So keep the faith..I believe its his time now and as for post 3:01 33 years old is not too old...Adam is still considered young....if you don't think so maybe you should reevaluate what being old really means....I'm 50+...and I consider myself still young:)

@Lori. Thanks for your comment! With anonymous nature of this fansite, there are couple of negative posters that it's better to not pay attention to them.

Anonymous said...

Lori, I'm sorry, I think I'm missing your point with Ed and Sam. I remember Ed with Sing and Don't but I have no idea what Sam's second single is or if I've heard it. Are you saying people only remember the second single? I thought both Ed's and Sam's first singles shot up the charts.

Lori said...

@post 7:28 pm
My point is first single of an album don't always climb the charts very fast...Megan Tremor's single "All About The Base", took time to climb the charts but it did and the second faster....that's my point....GT will get there:).

Anonymous said...

Lori, I challenge you to post comparative chart rankings of first and second single. I do not think you can say the second single frequently climbs faster.

hi I saw adams IG recently, hes a daddy, aww :) I was wondering why he wasn't open about it sooner

Sadly, Better Than I Know Myself (which I adore) didn't take off big time, nor did Never Close Our Eyes, the 2nd single off Trespassing. Adam's Trespassing album is beyond superb, loaded with fabulous songs. It should've done way better than it did.

Anonymous said...

There isn't a correlation between first single and second single being faster.

This will be just like Tess can't provide the 5 star songs.
