Isn't everyone chasing orginal highs? We had a very long thread about this and I was surprised at how many people spoke of 'highs' in their youth, and always in the past tense......which is quite lovely, as I recall my own....but it's never too late. One of my biggest highs came a few months ago when a publishing company accepted 3 of my stories for children. The books will be out after my 80th birthday!

@JAK
That's awesome news!!! Never too old for another "Original High"!!! On the contrary, I think it helps to keep us young.. and looking forward to another life-enhancing moment..

Congrats JAK!! I've no doubt the company made a very wise decision. If you feel like you wish to share the titles with us, I'd love to check them out!

That is huge news, JAK! Congratulations! I'm with Rosie, I'd love to hear more about the children's stories when they get published.

You should pop some champagne!

Thanks guys. Yes, it's been exciting and nerve wracking too. Lots of decisions to make.
They did ask if I had other stories.....I said "about 20!" :-)

@Laura xo, it's great to see your tag again! Don't be a stranger!

Hi Rosie! Thanks, I love reading the comments even when I don't post myself ... and I love reading your posts!

JAK, I'm in the children's business, too, and when you have a product that you create from your heart it is always a bit nerve-wracking putting it out there and seeing if folks will buy it. From all your past posts, we can tell you have a great writing style (I know children's writing is different) and lots of interesting experiences to pull from. It is WONDERFUL that the publisher has asked if you have more stories ... 20!! Yes! Enjoy this exciting time - nerves and all! Hope your future as an author is full of fun surprises!
