Oops! Sorry about the double post! :-((((

I finally had to turn it off, I couldn't stand Adam crunching all through the interview. First time I have actually thought Adam was a bit rude. That was terrible.

Anonymous said...

17 minutes of listening to Adam eating, not funny.

Anonymous said...

These two need to have sex already. So much flirting back and forth.

Anonymous said...

LOL Byron has always played the rejection angle with Adam for all it's worth, Get quite a few laughs from it.

Anonymous said...

Byron actually mentioned Adam eating towards the end of the interview and Adam wasn't aware that his crunching was being broadcast. It was a bit disconcerting. Anyway, I hope Adam and Byron catch up in person for a chat/interview when he's in Australia promoting TOH.

Since 2010 Byron has had a man crush on Adam and I've had a woman crush on 2 so different men , such interesting men! Byron is not the only interviewer(an art, after all) who uses humor, irony, self-irony and serious chats to make his guests open on the benefit of his listeners/viewers , the difference is that he surely knows what quality humor is, what a subtle "weapon" self-irony is. Unlike some of the posters ! Lots of interesting ideas, some of them:Adam is so good but this is not a surprise anymore, the diversity of the album, Adam and his team's discovery of new vocal colors, territory, the fiery Evil In The Night, a common preference(not so openly expressed by Byron, I think he can't "afford ", as a DJ, to have personal preferences. But one , specifically, has left me, literally, with my mouth open, how on earth have I missed it, Brian May doing his signature thing on a hip-hop song ?!?!
Yes , THIS is a departure from other, older stuff for both Adam and Brian !

Anonymous said...

It was disrespectful of Adam to munch through the interview but I guess it wasn't intentional.

I think TOH is released in Australia on June 12 (albums are usually released in Australia a little before the US).

Haha... Adam is dating his album and taking it on an amazing journey around the world! Pretty good answer to the lonely heart questions :) Was Adam really eating during the interview? That's pretty unusual for him, isn't it? I wonder what the circumstances were.

Anonymous said...

Lol, Adam was surprised when Byron said he could hear the crunching! He did apologize, saying he was working all day and really hungry. I'm impressed by how well he could talk with food in his mouth; I couldn't do that. Always enjoy Byron interviewing Adam. :)

You'd have to be deaf not to hear Adam crunching through that interview.

Anonymous said...

Ha-ha, he is funny when he realized that he can be heard on the air. Check at 14:46

Anonymous said...

I loved hearing Adam crunch...

Anonymous said...

Me too, crunch... If it's me I will mumble, but not Adam. Perfect articulate answers and then crunch..
I have expected from Byron to mention Adam that in the first minutes into interview. But Byron kept this for the last. ;)

Anonymous said...

It's rude to talk with your mouth full but Byron's a gentleman and only commented about it towards the end.

Anonymous said...

How about some compassion for Adam and considering the facts: Time difference, right now Adam being very busy and taking quite a long time out of his busy schedule to talk on the phone with Byron. Plus he apologized and said he was really HUNGRY! Cut the man some slack, geesh!

I have to admit though that this was the first time for me to hear (I’ve listened to all of their published talks and interviews) that Adam was not as present as and not as alert, quick & concentrated to have fun with Byron as he usually has been (while at the same time delivering his messages). Some of it might be due to the long distance phone time lapse or whatever…

The Man’s Gotta Eat, munch away Adam!
Love every sound that comes out of or from your mouth, hah ha!

Hoping Byron is more understanding and compassionate than some Adam fans here! :(

Adam Lambert, guilty of crunching during an interview; knew it, you're "a little
criminal", and a "little hypocritical meanie", is calling the police!!!

Did not bother me at all. Adam does not have a rude bone in his beautiful intelligent body. He explained the circumstances when Byron politely called him out; he was probably starving as he said and apparently did not know he could be heard, and seemed embarrassed, but Bryon smoothed it over and understood; and all laughed it off.

Loved the interview. Can't wait until they get together in person, love their playful banter. Those peeps/peep that it bothered so much, good you stopped listening because it bothered them so much, that's your prerogative; but, I don't care, keep it to yourself. I came hear to listen to Adam Lambert; sound of crunchies and all, not your idiotic self centered complaining!

CRUNCH, CRUNCH, and have a great CRUNCHIE DAY!!!!

Anonymous said...

I knew it he was eating!!!!!:)))) Adam is hungry like us he!he!

Anonymous said...

Love Lord Byron's interviews with Adam.

Anonymous said...

Loved the interview; knew it would be fun and flirty. Love me some Adam Lambert, love me some Byron Cooke; and love me some rice crackers. With Adam's great endorsement of the product; I'm going to buy a big old supply today!

Adam is the best endorser of any product; somebody, give this man an endorsement deal and watch the money roll in!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Oh, I loved, loved the interview with Adam and Byron, so refreshing. Going to listen again!

Anonymous said...

love it when Adam mentions a product..smart water..,aragan hair oil, Mac eyeliner and now rice crackers..whatever I have to get it..

Dee R Gee said...

I'm sure that if Adam knew his crunching could be heard, he would have stopped. He just didn't realize it. Adam is not a rude person. I could hear it, too, and I thought wow he must be really hungry! Byron was cool about it. They had a great interview that concentrated mostly on the music but they also managed to flirt and banter a bit, too. Yeah, Byron has always had a man crush on Adam big time. He is a great Adam supporter. He is smart and informed and knows what he's talking about when he speaks to Adam. Hope they get to talk in person when Adam is in OZ next time.

Anonymous said...

Even without the crunching you could hear that he was eating something, and then the crunching started, wow. I think he could have waited 17 minutes before he started eating. I don't care how hungry he was. I know Leila raised him better than that, I would imagine she just cringed, when she heard that. I have seen him in interviews romping on gum too. There is never an excuse for bad manners.A lot of people on other sites are talking about him crunching through the interview. Whatever he does his fans always excuse him, and just think he is cute when he does things like this. I have always had the feeling from past interviews with B. Cooke, that he does not like him very much. JMO. BC had done his homework, and did talk about all the songs that have been released, in an intelligent way.

My personal observation and opinion:

I listened to the interview before I heard or saw any of the comments here (in fact I posted the interview here.. and was very excited and pleased to do so..) and occasionally heard a little crunching sound here and there which was a little puzzling yes BUT it wasn't obnoxious or even rude in my opinion..

Funny yes, a bit of an "oops!" yes, but rude no. Adam seemed quite embarrassed that it was audible to Byron.. It's one of those little moments that happen to ALL of us (at least to me!) that we all can laugh about afterwards.. Unless people make a big deal about it, like some are here on this blog.. C'mon guys, lighten up!!! Please :))))

I've also been following the MANY amused fans on twitter who are not at all upset by this and just have to laugh along with Byron and Adam..

I do not get the extreme criticism here on this blog about Adam during this interview..

By the way, there WAS an interview.... not just crunching for heaven's sake!!

Sorry, but really...

As for the comment above about Adam not liking Byron or Byron not liking Adam (I couldn't quite figure out what exactly the intent of the comment was by @Anon 9:26 AM) I seriously doubt either of those things.. But whatever...

Anonymous said...

I am surprised that Adams crunching did not trend on twitter. The cartoons about it are already showing up. At the least it was distracting, Bryon did a good job of interviewing, and had obviously listened to the songs. I am glad that Adam is finally dating, and being open about it. LOL

Dee R Gee said...

Mountain out of a molehill, for cryin' out loud. Adam and Byron has liked each other for years. They banter and tease. Adam has requested Byron before when it came to choose who he wanted an interview with. Adam apologized for the inadvertent crunching. The interview was GOOD! Sometimes this fandom drives me nuts.

Anonymous said...

@9:26
No need to motherhen Adam.He is grown up man.His mother knows him better. The interview is so much fun to listen. Adam never miss a beat to respond to the interviewer. He responded very well eventhough he Is in the middle of crunching. He paying full attention to any question .i think Byron is his fav interviewer. They seems relax and playful during interview like old friend.

Anne Marie said...

Bryon did a good interview, and had intelligent questions and knowledge about Adams new songs. I also am glad that Adam is dating now, and it's with his dream date.
I am going to try those rice crackers, they sounded good.

Anonymous said...

If Adam can put a "Moo" sound on his recording, a little crunch might end up there too!
LOL! I could almost see Adam's cheeks turning red, but Byron saved the little joking about it till the end because he was concentrating on his beautiful, smart, inciteful, questions. Gosh, the fact that Adam is so busy he has to grab a bite when he can should be exciting for his fans!!! Better than waiting around for the phone to ring. He is a hard working and driven artist and is where he is on his merits not on a little crunching faux pas!!!

Anonymous said...

Of course fans are defending Adam. If it had been Byron crunching away he would be called all sorts of names for being so rude as to eat during the interview. Double standards.

Anonymous said...

Adam is chasing his dream, it's not all a bed of roses, he even gave up his relationship to follow this dream. His career comes first, and it is coming into fruition now. All the hard work is starting to pay off, not just the money, but the dream to be a world wide star. I think Simon Cowell saw that in him, and so did Brian May. Their opinions are not to be sneered at. Adam has a bright future in front of him.

Anonymous said...

Adam certainly could have had something to drink and waited 17 minutes to eat. He would have lived. It's ridiculous to defend him as being so busy and hungry that it was OK to do that. It was just rude to be crunching and chewing through that. Byron should have tipped him off sooner. But Byron has mixed feelings about Adam and probably let it go to the end on purpose.

Anonymous said...

@2:43
I totally agree with you, It is possible that Adam wasn't thinking about whether it would be heard over the phone, but you can always tell when he is eating something, when he is talking even gum. It is rude, and someone said he hasn't got a rude bone in his body, well, he just proved you wrong. Sometimes, the I don't give a damn attitude can go too far. This also touches on how he shows up at the radio stations, in very, very casual clothes. He dresses nicely when it suits himself, to do so. I am glad that someone else on here knows that you don't crunch food into the phone, when you are being recorded on a phone interview.

Anonymous said...

If I am realistic and take off my fan glasses I can see that Adam shouldn't have been eating while doing an interview on the phone. I wouldn't excuse my child if they did that so there is no excuse for Adam either.

JAK said...

The crunching didn't bother me at all. I was enjoying the interview and laughing at their repartee.
You don't often find a quick witted interviewer and Adam is a perfect foil for his nonsense.
I always enjoy these two.

Anonymous said...

@3:28, I think Adam dressed quite appropriately for the radio station visits....thought he looked amazing actually. Most of the DJ's were not exactly dressed up if you view some of the interview videos.

Adam actually shared quite a bit about the album and Byron was well-prepared for the interview as usual.

Anonymous said...

All the pictures of the people at the radio stations, that we saw, showed that the radio people looked very nice, and quite dressed up, Adam did not, torn jeans white tee shirt, with a denim jacket doesn't quite cut it. A couple of pictures he wore his leather jacket which was a step up, but over all he got a C- and the station people got an A. I think part of the reason, on Adam's part, is that he just doesn't do early mornings very well. His interviews were great, but I think when he got up out of bed, he didn't care that much, and grabbed the first thing that came to hand. When his interviews were held later, there was quite a change in his attire. I think these morning interviews, just turn Adams world upside down. I am not sure if he was aware that there are two 7 o'clocks in a day.

glitzylady said...

@JAK
I'm with you on this... I listened to the interview, not the crunching.. Heard it a few times but that sort of thing is secondary to what is being said.. and listening to Adam chat and laugh.. Music to my ears!!! And Byron is always great.. And a very supportive fan of Adam's as well as a DJ..

There are bigger things in this world to be upset about than hearing Adam crunching on a cracker... IMHO of course :))

Anonymous said...

Part of Adam's attire for the radio stations, is that he dresses in what he considers a rock star would wear.

Anonymous said...

What the heck!!!!:)))) Adam isn't perfect and he is a dork!!!! So what do u expect of him!!!:) Some of you aren't cool and too serious in life!!!! GEEEEEEEZ Take a deep breathe and mine your own business!!!:)). Now, some of you are disappointed!!!????? It makes me laugh he!he!

The crunching through the interview was rude. For somebody who usually is polite this was surprising. Byron should have asked right away about the sound so Adam could stop. It became very distracting. I'm sure Leia is horrified as she raised him better than that.

JAK said...

Lions and tigers and bears..Oh My
Munching, crunching and tatters and tears..Oh My

Naked knees on display, What will they say?
There will be hell to pay, he will rue the day.

If only he'd listen to our rules for his life,
He'd be ever so happy and cause no strife,

But does that sound like Adam, I think not..Oh My
We'll just have to make do with what we've got..Oh My!

Anonymous said...

Many Glamberts think Adam walks on water and that anything and everything he does is acceptable and praise-worthy. Crunching food/chewing gum in interviews is not acceptable to anyone who believes in good manners.

Anonymous said...

Adam has said that all the fuss he had experienced with his hair, makeup, etc., was too much work and he got tired of it. In short he's getting lazy about his appearance. That's what causes a lot of marriages to break up. One or both gets lazy and lets themself get fat and unkept. I've been praying for quite a while that those torn, scraggly jeans would mysteriously disappear. Although they did look kind of cute in the mother's day pic with Leila in People Mag.

Anonymous said...

Didn't you hear the part where he said he didn't know his cracker crunch would be audible?
I don't think this episode is a hanging offense. Most people would have gotten a laugh out of it, sort of like the "moo".

Anonymous said...

The "moo" lasted for a split second, the crunching lasted most of the interview.

Anonymous said...

Romancing the album .... crunch! crunch!

Anonymous said...

He is not getting lazy about his appearance, he just finally realized that trying to bring back the extreme Bowie androgyny and hi glam days were over long ago. His post Idol look was not going to sell and get him where he wanted. This look is selling. I might add, he has never been trimmer, lots of work has gone into that new waistline and toning up his arms. If anything he is spending more time on a new look.
Glam Adam is gone. This Adam is here to stay.

JAK said...

All this fuss about a cracker crunch.....don't any of you remember the times celebs forgot they were wearing a mic and dashed into the bathroom and the awards audience heard everything, including the flush?
Now that was something to talk about!

JAK said...

And.... BTW....the "moo" will last forever, it's recorded for all time!

Anonymous said...

And other celebs forget they are miced and say rude things about others or about fans. That is unacceptable as well. Just like eating during an interview. Adam was stupid to think it wouldn't be heard. He shouldn't get a pass just because we worship the ground he walks on.

Anonymous said...

@10:09 PM
Ditto.

JAK said...

I don't worship the ground he walks on, neither do I "love" him, nor do I think he has a "voice in a billion", nor do I think he is the most gorgeous man in the world.......but a huge fuss over a few crackers is "completely crackers" to me.

Anonymous said...

It has a lot to do with respect - respecting the person interviewing him - as it has to do with good manners.

Anonymous said...

Is the rule of this game, the last person to post a comment wins?

Anonymous said...

What if Byron had been crunching while he interviewed Adam? I am sure those here saying it was no big deal that Adam was crunching would be throwing fits if Byron had been doing it. It would be so disrespectful to Adam!

Anonymous said...

True rudeness would've been if Byron had mentioned he could hear the crunching, and Adam continued to do it. He didn't realize it could be heard, sounded embarrassed about it, and apologized - which was very polite and definitely not rude. I'm sure it was a lesson learned on Adam's end on what sounds might be picked up on the mic in a future phone interview. The man is 33 years old; I'm sure he can take care of himself and if his mother ever worries about him, it's probably not about something as harmless as this! He was definitely engaged in the interview though based on the thoughtful answers he gave Byron.

@JAK, as usual I got a big chuckle from your comments. Please don't ever change!
