There were plenty of other adjectives I could have used to describe Adam Lambert today, but pretty is really high up there.
I mean, just look at the way his hair is perfectly coiffed. And that smile. Yes, Adam Lambert, you are a pretty, pretty man. The smile and the hair were just part of his look today as he busily promoted The Original High in London.

My first thought would be that he looks gorgeously handsome, being such a great looking man! I personally don't see pretty when I look at Adam; I see sexy, even beautiful. But, hey what ever adjective that you feel describes the most gorgeous man in the world is find with me. I think he is "PRETTY" AWSOME TOO!!!

I just hope that all the appearances Adam is making to promote TOH bring him the recognition and success he so deserves in today's music industry. I have actually heard Ghost Town here in the NYC/northernNJ area being played on 102.7. And I know he will be in NYC next week for tv appearances and for a signing of the CD. I am looking forward to his performance on GMA on Friday in Central Park. Besides singing GT, I wonder what other songs he will perform from the album. Adam does looking amazingly handsome in these pics from London. Lucky are the fans who get to see him and to have their picture taken with him. He always seems so personable and considerate posing for pictures. You don't see a large entourage or security around Adam although they are probably nearby if needed. After listening to several songs from the album, I can't wait for it finally to be released next week.

Adam's work ethic is above reproach. I sincerely love this man.

Adam tweeted about the official Ghost Town video having more than 4 million views. But he should also have added that the official "lyric" video for GT has over 3 million views. I'm quite sure that all the other videos on youtube about ghost town total well over 10,000,000 views!!!

Adam isn't pretty - he is HANDSOME!!!!!!! Pretty is a feminine adjective used to describe attractive girls/women.

Anne Marie said...

Hope he laughs at being called pretty, and takes it as a compliment. I see him as being very handsome and suave. But he does like pretty things himself.

Half of those 4 million views could be from children...they love the thumping beat and ghosts are scary to them and being able to sing and dance about ghosts is self assuring. lwl! And they just have to sing 2 words, leaving the rest to Adam. lwl! As for me, I simply love anything even remotely supernatural. lol!

By the way, my original Phantombert / Phantom Whistler story is coincidentally or not about a lighthouse caretaker who whistled in the depth of night and people started to rumour that the off-shore lighthouse was haunted. lwl!

Care for a semi ghost story...

Phantombert Part 1

Phantombert visited a sunny island country recently and enjoyed some sightseeing. On an offshore island, a couple of hours by ferry, stands a century-old lighthouse. Hmm if this lighthouse could talk, it'd be able to tell all about the historic strife and war it witnessed in the region. Phantombert decided to take a ferry-ride to this intriquing place; he had heard people talking about a weird occurrence there; some even suggested it was haunted. People had often heard whistling in the depth of night in the lighthouse. Antique places and monuments are a fascination to Phantombert.
That evening, after an hour's breezy smooth ride, the ferry-boat docked at the pier about a hundred metres from the lighthouse. It was a placid, moonlit night and the gentle lapping of the waves on the shore was music to the mind and ears. Ah Kiat the boatman, Phantombert's newly acquired aquaintance, decided he would wait at the pier to keep watch. Phantombert sauntered towards the lighthouse, breathing in the fresh sea breeze; also assimilating the sights and sounds. A woodpecker could be heard knocking incessantly on a nearby tree, breaking the silence of the tranquil island. Soon he reached the lighthouse and a kind elderly lighthouse-keeper greeted him but seemed reserved; kept looking downwards and did not utter a word. The trip had been prearranged by Ah Kiat who had a friend working on the remote island.
Phantombert walked up the winding century-old concrete staircase. Whoa! A sprawling magnificent bay view greeted him at the top. Hundreds of bumboats and a few brightly-lit cruisers were anchored in the deep bay. The beacon-light above the watch-post, shimmered brilliantly on the bay, guiding ships into the mainland harbour. The moonlight accentuated Phantombert's sexy profile and physique on this scenic romantic ambience atop the lighthouse.
At that moment...he heard a shrill soft beautiful whistling...coming from the floor below. Phantombert felt a little unsettling; he had been forewarned about a weird occurrence, but decided to investigate the whistling sound. And then as he walked down, he saw the back view of a man; he was wearing a long trench-coat and a helmet, looking out of the lighthouse porthole gazing at the ships. Yes, he was whistling a strange tune with an eastern lilt. The whistler was able to hold the tune for a very long time and not seem to run out of breath. It reminded him of his 22-second-held Brigadoon note. lol! Phantombert walked towards the whistler to find out who he was and wanted to greet him. The man seemed rather shy and moved towards the end of the corridor. Phantombert did not pursue as he is by nature a very respectful person and thought perhaps the whistler wanted his privacy. Phantombert proceeded down the winding staircase and thought he would call it a night. He turned back to see if he could just say goodbye to the man... Lo and behold, he wasn't there anymore, within just a few seconds. Phantombert thought he probably was the lighthouse-keeper on his rounds; but at the same time recollected the lighthouse's strange happenings told to him. He walked back to the pier where Ah Kiat was patiently waiting.
As the ferry-boat sped off, Phantombert casually mentioned : Hey Ah Kiat, the lighthouse-keeper was very courteous but rather reserved and didn't seem to want to show his face. Ah Kiat then asked in bewilderment : What lighthouse-keeper? Now, the lighthouse is automated, runs on its own electricity supplied by the island's main control centre. There used to be a kind, elderly man stationed but he passed on many years ago!
Ooooh...Phantombert could feel tiny jitters trickling down his spine. His hair stood a little on ends. His hair usually defies gravity anyway. lol! So who was that whistler? Phantombert murmured. What whistler? Ah Kiat subsequently asked, noticing Phantombert fidgeting : Are you okay, Phantombert? To which he nodded uneasily.

Phantombert 2

The next day, Phantombert met up with his usual group of islander friends. They started asking Phantombert whether anything unusual happened on his island trip. So, naturally, he related the somewhat virtual encounter he had with the man in trench-coat and helmet in the lighthouse. It ignited the group's curiosity and they decided to pay a visit to the lighthouse; as they too had heard about this weird occurrence; some even claimed it haunted.
That evening, Ah Kiat ferried the group to the island; then waited at the pier to keep an eye on the boat and occasionally threw his fishing-line into the fish-laden sea. As the group approached the lighthouse, Phantombert noticed the lighthouse-keeper wasn't there to greet them. Cautiously they walked up the concrete winding staircase. Whoa! the magnificent bay view ravished their senses; a cool strong breeze blasted at their faces. Brightly-lit vessels guided along by the sweeping brilliance of the beacon light cruised on the shimmering sea, waiting their turn to dock.
Then, in the midst of their laughter, Phantombert's ears picked up that familiar whistling...one floor down from where they were. One of the group, Bernard, ventured down to investigate. He was the doubting Thomas of the group and wouldn't believe apparitions so bold and visible. Phantombert's gaze zoomed in on the lighthouse porthole where he first saw the man in trench-coat and helmet. Bernard, well-versed in Chinese melodies recognised the tune and said it was...Bu liau ching / Undying love...a very well-known '50s song.
They ventured further down the corridor and lo and behold... Kraaack Kraaack! A black crow escaped through the porthole window, rebelling against the uninvited intrusion. The whistling stopped but suddenly, Phantombert spotted a shadowy figure. Yeah! the same man he saw on his first visit. Phantombert called out: Hello! Hello! His voice echoed through the lighthouse. But like the first time, the figure simply vanished into thin air. Phantombert should have sung Ghost Town as the lighthouse acoustics would have heightened his ethereal voice and the thumping beat...tum tum tum tum...the ghost in question might have lingered on longer. The group now felt the suspense. Whuuuuu!...What was that, they were visibly on edge. 'Hey, come, there's a secret stairway to the basement.' The group walked cautiously down into a rather vast, dim maze of narrow, low passages; some sort of dungeon ! Now the whistling was very clear and echoed through the 'dungeon'.
Instantly but sliently... the Whistler appeared right in front of them ! Phantombert staggered back, almost sliding onto the slippery, grimy floor. In the dim light, the man looked gaunt, hagged, his face, pockmarked and scarred. The group was aghast at this sudden apparition in the dim dungeon. Phantombert, the always positive one, after regaining his composure, asked softly : Hello, who are you? Why are you here all alone?

Phantom Whistler Part 3

The man tried to hide his face but sensing the group meant no harm, he opened up to them and spoke in a shaky voice. He explained he used to be a war prisoner kept in the dungeon; he loved to whistle because the lighthouse acoustics would echo it all around the antique building.
He then recounted how he used to trudge up the winding staircase each evening, carrying a canister of oil to keep the huge, brilliant florescent lamp, lit at the top of the beacon. He was the lighthouse-keeper and took his job seriously because without the light, ships would ram into the jagged rocks. He emphasised proudly he did that for many years until the lighthouse was automated and lit by electricity. The group listened intently. What a historic, touching life-story...thought Phantombert. His deep-set, blue eyes stared at the strange man.
Thereafter, whenever Phantombert visited the island country to perform his concerts, he, Ah Kiat, Bernard and the group would pay the former lighthouse-keeper a courtesy call. On their last visit, Phantombert and his islander friends were not able to see the devoted lighthouse-keeper. He finally passed on at a ripe old age of ninty-nine.
To this day, Phantombert does not know the man's real name; he refers to him as the Phantom Whistler. I wonder if anymore whistling had been heard since his passing...Oooooh! That would be the real thing, wouldn't it...especially Phantom Whistler loved his lighthouse home so much. lwl!

Handsome, sexy, suave, debonair, intelligent, talented but definitely not pretty. Hello! He's a man, not a woman!!

Lots of pretty in this gorgeous man, no denying it.
Some of you just can't accept that there is also feminine beauty in Adam.
Dangerously attractive combination --- makes him all the more handsome!

It takes a lot of scrolling to get past mega fanfic.

Hey, I overheard from the lighthouse security-guard who patrols the area that he could still hear those unexplained whistling from the lighthouse, especially after midnight. lwl! Hey, Phantombert...want to give it another go? when you come to perform your concerts here lol!
Oh a few words of caution...if you go there to investigate and really want to get to the bottom of things, the real thing! then, I suggest you go during Ghost Month / August. The gates of hell and heaven are open for one month for them to roam the streets.
Two things you must not do for Ghost Month, to avoid attracting them to you: 1) Don't whistle! according to ghost advisers, they love to hear whistling and will be attracted. 2) Don't walk near walls as they also enjoy making appearances as silhouettes or shadows on them. There are several more tips given by the Ghost Month advisers in this region. lwl! About seeing a ghost on a wall...well, my aged Mom would testify vehemently to that as she had seen one...there was a shadow cast on a wall, as she was walking home late one night but nobody was anywhere near the wall ! My aged Mom told me in all earnestness, not joking, in fact she looked so serious that I tended to believe her outright. lwl!

Pretty and beautiful are gender neutral words and they both apply to Adam.

Hi Lam-My!
I remember! I love Phantom Bert Story! It has been fun to read your stories and poems and all our convos about Adam, some ideas expressed seem so magically happening in reality like the whistling and your Phantom Story(GT):D! I remember, when there was a White Horse running during LMD as an Avicii's Show Stopper and our convos about Adam as a "front runner" at the same time and the New Chinese Year Symbols! Some words just stay in mind and seem familiar later on.:)))
I'm late to this party this time but trying to follow the Adam news as often as possible, summer vacations starting here, nice that Sauli is still there in Adam's life and I just have been so happy following their lives, so much fun! Their happy smiling faces make me feel like a few dancing steps... but oh carefully I don't brake my old bones...:D! Kindred

I forgot to say I've listened to all the songs from TOH and the melodies are great. Imo Adam's new artistic sound is for me something getting used to after hearing more and more of it, TRESPA is still close to my heart but Adam's new music will have a chance to get a place in my heart after I get to read the lyrics and figure out, what they mean to me and how I feel Adam personally in them. I'm glad about this time, Adam's music coming out at last and finally getting all the radioplay it deserves. This is a memorable year for us in Adamlandia! Kindred \O/\O/

Hellooo there! Never fear, Kindred is here! lwl! Yes you liked my Phantombert story, first print, the whistling in Ghost Town is like deja-vu to me.
Here is what you said on the first print / dated...and my response:

Thankey, Lammy, again a pleasure to read your story, kindred sister:)!! I´m hearing the Time for Miracles echoing in my mind now, I guess I have the narrow corridors of my own in my head;)! That song has real magic and meaning of hope for me. Touching moment there in the Lighthouse, even as only a wish of hearing that song. I loved your fascinating story both episodes! Your stories seem to always leave room for own imagination to continue them:)).
This summer I may be a bit less here but still support you in spirit. Keep on going, sister:)!

Hello there! Kindred sister! Hey don't go away too long...will miss you! Thank you very much for your inspiration and encouragement. I like that you say my stories leave room for continuation...very perceptive. You may have hit on my subconscious...I see things as a long continual process like for example my concept of time has no beginning, no end; the beginning flows into the ending and then the ending goes back to the beginning. lol! That's perhaps why you can feel this in my stories...I don't do it on purpose, in fact not aware of it until you pointed it out to me. You read my mind. lol!

Hey Kindred...please fill me in about Sauli so I can write more Bert and Saul stories...I like writing about them as much as you like reading them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, you are my aurora borealis ! lwl! Oh you are never late to my party! lol!

Hi Lam-My!
Yes I try to keep myself on the same page... or thread as you here, but I have noticed, there are some really nice Finn fans(or maybe some come from elsewhere) that I can rely on, they post exactly the thoughts I would have said and they seem to be better on time on topics here too. I usually come here at the end, when my only chance of contact is sending vibes through space...:D! So now you know it's only me, when you feel odd tingling on your skin, just me trying to get attention:))).
Have a nice summer time Lam-My and all fandom here, sharing this musical(and so much more)adventure together...dancing...:D Kindred
