Oppression is a result of some who have this craze/crave to dominate/rule over others; for many different kinds of reasons: to amasse power, land, riches, name/image, success. On their own it's quite okay but alas it does not work that way because if some win by force or underhand means, other people will inevitably have to pay the price, suffer. But halt for a minute and think ! wisely...it fires back at you, a matter of time.

'No one is fully free while others remain oppressed' was said by someone famous a long time ago. It's thought it was Martin Luther King or John F Kennedy but I don't think it's been established who the speaker was. Anyway, there'll always be bigots in the world but there are many accepting people in the world too.

12:19 AM, it is an "author unknown" quote but it is frequently used for protest signs, t-shirts, etc.

Adam, friend of the oppressed
Will speak out and not rest
Till justice, equality is addressed
His friends love him for that
At times his career is jeopardised
And he pays heavily the price
Not exactly an activist
Nevertheless effective
Stirs the pot...out pours the snorts
Determined, he fends them off
Now, more have come to rally support
For this Equality singer and his classic pop lwl!
